Batu Ferringhi Motels

Upon arrival at the Rasa Motel (free parking) we were greeted by the loveliest, friendliest host. I believe her name was Goi. She asks all about you, how you are doing, etc., gives you a map to explain how to get to the nearby attractions, and explains the water and drinks situation at the motel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a triple room in the new wing which provided a double and a single bed. The room itself was very clean and bright with a fancy new air conditioner. It's easy to tell how new the bathrooms are as well! It's only a 5 minute walk to the beach and Goi can recommend any and all types of food/cuisine that you please, she seems to have all the insider knowledge! They also let us keep our leftover Nasi Kandar in a fridge since there is no fridge in the rooms. I would highly recommend to stay here if you are looking to stay in Batu Ferringhi on a budget but not sacrifice a warm welcome, a neat room, and a great location.

Stayed for 2 nights and had wonderful breakfast there. It would be more wow if we could have different breakfast menu the next day. It was rainy days when we were in Penang. We found umbrella in the room and saved the day! Overall experience at Park Royal is great and I would definitely come back

A lepak hotel to relax and stay away from busy city life and noisy people. Room big and clean. Bed and pillow comfortable that I don't want to wake up. Service is friendly and amenities are delivered fast to the room when requested. Towel is big and clean. Soap and shampoo by crabtree. But I expect better quality bed slippers and toothbrush/toothpaste considering it's doubletree Breakfast buffet was delicious with a good spread. Come early after morning pray to avoid noisy people. Pool big and clean. But come early to avoid noisy kids and irritating people. Near the beach if you want to swim salty, just cross the overbridge. Far Away from busy georgetown, airport and main attractions. But convenient and affordable to grab around.

Took my mom on our annual Penang trip with the family. I like the old-school charm the Bayview hotel offers. The room is super spacious. We have three big beds and two balconies. The premise is a beach front property,so you got direct access to the beach. There's plenty of sun deck chairs scattered on the clean, grassy lawn. I love the pool because it's rare to find a hotel pool with 12 feet depth, so while the shallower area is crowded, I get a bit of personal space by the deep pool. It's easy access to food and shopping area.

Great choice if u are traveling with kids and friends. We were a group of two families and they offered us with the connected rooms. Rooms are spacious with abundant furniture and room service was quick and friendly at all times Swimming areas were well maintained and neat except you will be occasionally greeted with a bunch of bird if u are eating by the pool. Beach towel is available by the pool only and u are not allowed to take it to the room - can feel a bit of chill on the way back to the room since lobby and elevator are always cold with A/C Bring a pair of socks , long sleeves and pants if you are planning to taker ur kids to the kids club.

The hotel room and bed were clean and comfortable. Crews were always friendly and helpful. If you want to stay near the beach, Batu Ferringhi, Hard Rock Hotel is a good choice. Suitable for couples and family with kids as well.

Hotel maintains its usual high standard with staff always make a smile to guests. Health club can accommodate sufficient guests with cool and dry towels. Pool is large with plenty of armchairs. Breakfast is of high standard with efficient staff clear up quickly. You may swim with a lizard but don't worry, he's cooling off for a while 😁 A small long tail black monkey may sit in your balcony😅 The only problem is room sound proof is bad, adjacent room guests were chatting loudly at 1am, I called front desk and they came up with the proposal of moving us to another room in the middle of the night! That shouldn't be the solution, if the guests are partying, are you moving all the others?

It feels exclusive when u stay in Lone Pine this will be my first time. I have been staying in Holiday Inn each time I visited Penang. After the pandemic 2 years ago I tried Golden Sands, Shangrila. Overall spacious room with balcony facing Seaview. Wish that they trim the trees so it will not obstruct the view from balcony. Breakfast was OK. Nice hotel.

Firstly the staff, they are all really lovely and cannot do enough for you. When we checked in we realised that we had accidentally booked the wrong week! But this wasn’t an issue as we were given a better room for the same price! In fact, we actually enjoyed our stay that much we ended up staying for 14 nights! The location is great, there’s plenty to do, lots of great cheap restaurants and the beach is less than a few minutes walk. Initially it was hard to find as it’s placed in an old shopping centre on the 2nd floor. We took the escalators but there is also a lift. Once you get inside, the secure front door the reception is modern and clean, 24hr help is always available and the rooms lock with a physical key. You get way more than you’d expect for the price. Modern clean rooms with refurbished en suite with rainfall shower. Hot water at all times and reliable WiFi. Tea and coffee 24/7 too! And breakfast everyday until 11am!! Every 3 days we got clean towels, fresh sheets and the room was cleaned. Some guests have complained about the noise from the charaoke which is on the same floor but our room was the closest to this and we were never kept up, the latest would could just about hear it was 23:30 but this was on a Saturday night! The only downsides, albeit small, were the lack of variety at breakfast, lack of natural light in the rooms due to the windows facing into the shopping centre so the curtains should be closed, and the WiFi was a bit slow, but only noticeable if streaming HD videos, for general web surfing it was more than capable! Overall me and my partner were very happy with our 2 weeks we spent here, we felt very safe and relaxed and you can’t argue with the price! It saved us a lot of money on our 6 month trip and was one our favourite place we stayed in Penang! Thank you once again, if we are ever in Malaysia again we will be sure to visit :)
