Lizhuang Ancient Town was built in the 6th year of the Datong period of the Liang Dynasty (540 AD), with a history of more than 1,480 years. Historically, it was the seat of Liutong County and Nanguang (Nanxi) County for more than 400 years, and was an important political, military, economic, and cultural center in southern Sichuan.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Lizhuang Town became an important cultural center in China. In October 1940, several higher education institutions and research institutions, including the National Tongji University and the National Central Research Institute, moved to Lizhuang, which had a profound impact on Chinese society, economy, and culture. These institutions left a large number of historical sites and cultural wealth in Lizhuang.

2⃣️Yibin Cuiping Mountain Scenic Area
"Green all year round, like a screen," the second largest man-made forest scenic area in China.
There are many attractions inside, such as Nezha Palace, Cuiping Academy, Zhao Yiman Memorial Hall, Zhenwu Mountain Ancient Architecture Complex, Qianfoyan Cliff Carvings, Sanjiang Yilan Park, etc. You can overlook the city from Sanjiang Yilan Park.
The scenic area is large, and there is a cable car for going up and down.

Hualuxe Hotel and Holiday Inn Express are very close to each other. They are located in Sanjiang New District, separated from the old town by a bridge. The surroundings are very quiet. As the area is relatively new, there are many buildings under construction, so there is not much hustle and bustle. However, there are many delicious foods in the old town. Driving here is a good choice, as parking is very convenient. There are also charging piles next to the hotel.

1. The mini bar is empty, which is something I rarely encounter. In the hotels I've stayed at before, there are usually items in the mini fridge, whether they are free or not. This hotel has a separate minibar menu, which is also nice, as you can chill your own drinks.🥤
2. The toilet flush button, the tiles under the bathtub, and the bathroom door all have room for improvement and need further maintenance. The tiles under the bathtub will automatically open if there is no dirty clothes basket blocking them. The bathroom door cannot be closed, probably because the seal has worn out from frequent use. The glue on the toilet flush button needs to be strengthened.
3. The welcome fruits are quite special. The oranges feel like they were just picked from the tree, with a hint of greenness, which is very refreshing. Treasure of the Museum
Among the many collections, there is a cultural relic known as the "treasure of the museum" - the double fish bronze wash basin made in Zhuti in the fourth year of Jianchu in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The bottom of this bronze wash basin is cast with the eight-character seal script "Made in Zhuti in the fourth year of Jianchu" and is decorated with symmetrical double fish patterns and five convex string patterns. It not only witnessed the highly developed bronze casting industry in Zhaotong and the prosperity of trade on the Wuchi Road, but also highlighted the historical status of Yibin as a transportation hub and an important commercial and trade material distribution center.

In the early morning, we set off from Chengdu and arrived at the beautiful Cuiping Mountain Park after a three-hour drive.
2. Impressions of Cuiping Mountain Park
Cuiping Mountain Park is located in Yibin, Sichuan Province. It is a city park that combines natural scenery and cultural landscapes. As soon as we entered the park, we were attracted by the green mountains and fresh air.
3. Touring the park
We strolled along the park's paths and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Cuiping Mountain Park. The park is full of flowers, plants, and trees, and the lake is clear, which makes people feel relaxed and happy. We also saw some squirrels and birds shuttling between the trees, adding a touch of vitality.
4. Visiting attractions
During the tour, we also visited some famous attractions in Cuiping Mountain Park. The most eye-catching is the Cuiping Mountain Observation Deck, from which you can overlook the beautiful scenery of Yibin. We also visited the Cuiping Mountain Grottoes, a well-preserved ancient grotto temple with exquisite murals and carvings.

In Yibin, we tasted local specialties. Yibin burning noodles, Lizhuang white meat, and other delicacies are unforgettable. In addition, we also tasted some local snacks, such as glutinous rice cakes and tofu pudding.

Day 1: Chongqing-Yibin
👉 Take the high-speed rail from Chongqing to Yibin at around 10 pm on Friday night. The direct train takes around 40 minutes. My friend lives in Nanxi District, so I went straight to a hotel in Nanxi after arriving.
Day 2: Nanxi-Lizhuang Ancient Town-Nanxi
👉 The main purpose of this trip was to visit my friend, so the itinerary was mainly for leisure. We set off at noon. We first went to an old halal restaurant in Nanxi recommended by my friend to eat beef noodles. I was full of expectations when I saw that they had ranmian (burning noodles) on the menu, but the actual taste was disappointing. It was just "dry"! I suggest that friends from other places who want to try Yibin ranmian should try one or two portions first. If you like the taste, you can order more. Otherwise, you may not be able to finish it. 😅 It took us around 40 minutes to drive from Nanxi to the ancient town. We arrived at around 2 pm and finished our tour in around 2 hours before going for tea. If you like traditional architecture, you can go to the right side of the scenic area, where there is less commercial atmosphere. If you like taking photos, you can go to the newly built area on the left side. Most of the scenic spots in the photos are from the rebuilt area. There are many places where you can take photos in Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) with flowers in your hair, but I don't recommend it because there are not many places to take photos. There are also many places to drink tea, which is worth trying. Sitting by the river for an afternoon is a very comfortable experience.
Day 3: Nanxi-Wuliangye Distillery-Wanda Plaza-Hejiangmen-Guanying Ancient Street
👉 We set off at 10 am to Wuliangye Distillery. The distillery is quite large, so driving made it much easier. We only went to the Jiu Sheng Mountain to see the giant wine bottle and visited the museum. We finished in around an hour. This is a more suitable attraction for men, as women may not be as interested in wine. We then went to a duck restaurant next to Wanda Plaza to eat duck with ginger. It was delicious, and I recommend it to anyone passing by. After lunch, we went to Hejiangmen and Guanying Ancient Street, which are next to each other and are small attractions. There is a place to feed fish in Hejiangmen, which is suitable for family trips. There are only two walls in Guanying Ancient Street that are suitable for taking photos, so I don't recommend going there specifically. My friend said that Hejiangmen is especially beautiful at night, with romantic lights. You can try going there at night.
