A spectacular collaboration between the Great Buddha and colorful hydrangeas 🤗💠💐✨
"Tsubosaka-dera"
This time, we will introduce Tsubosaka-dera in Nara Prefecture😊 The oldest Kannon temple in Japan, the Saigoku Thirty-Three Kannon Pilgrimage, is holding a hydrangea tour project "Yamato Three Great Kannon Hydrangea Corridor" at the three temples of Tsubosaka-dera, Hasedera, and Okadera, which are the three temples in Nara Prefecture that are the temples of the Saigoku Thirty-Three Kannon Pilgrimage☺️💠💐It is a popular temple for its Great Cherry Blossom Buddha, but during the hydrangea season, it has a wonderful and elaborate production🤗💠💐
Along with the gentle Great Buddha, there are many colorful hydrangea pots on display, and there are also cute Jizo statues everywhere, which will warm your heart and soothe you☺️Enjoy hydrangeas, which have been loved since the Heian period, at Tsubosaka-dera, which was named by Sei Shonagon as her number one favorite temple🥰💠💐
Try to find the Jizo statues too! 💠💐 Kosaka-dera Temple, Hydrangea Corridor💐💠

[Nara] Limited time only! Enjoy the rainy season 😍 Hydrangeas and the Great Buddha's spectacular view ✨
The rainy season is about to begin, which is a horrible time of year☔️
But hydrangeas are in full bloom during the rainy season✨
There are many great spots to see hydrangeas😍
Today, I would like to introduce "Tsubosaka-dera Temple" in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture. "
[Highlights of Tsubosaka-dera Temple]
In spring, the "Sakura Buddha" is popular as the Great Buddha, with cherry blossoms blooming as if they are enveloping it, but in the coming rainy season, the "Hydrangea Buddha" is popular, with colorful hydrangeas surrounding the Buddha✨
The types of hydrangea pots surrounding the Buddha are also noteworthy, and in addition to the common Western hydrangeas, you can also see rare hydrangeas such as the double-flowered hydrangea and the Otafuku hydrangea, which is characterized by its rounded petals🥰
[Things to note when taking photos]
The hydrangeas are basically planted in pots rather than growing as they are.
There are hydrangeas around the Great Buddha at the bottom and lined up on the stage above💡
On the stage, there is an area that is large enough for one person to enter, like an observation deck! The width is such that only one person can enter at a time, so please be considerate to others when taking photos!
------------------------------------------------
That's all!
What do you think?
A must-see spot for camera lovers📸
A spot where you can enjoy hydrangeas even on rainy days, so please be sure to check it out!

1. Cherry Blossom Buddha:
- Within the temple grounds stands a giant Buddha statue surrounded by cherry blossoms.
- The sight of the Sakura Daibutsu—Buddha covered in pink and white petals—is awe-inspiring.
- These blossoms symbolize impermanence and renewal.
2. Healing Abilities:

- Visitors believe that being near the Buddha statue during cherry blossom season brings spiritual and physical well-being.
3. Indian Influence:
- The temple features several Indian-style Buddhas and a Taj Mahal-style sanctuary.
- These white stone carvings were gifts from India, expressing gratitude for the temple's work in aiding leprosy sufferers.
4. Cherry Blossom Viewing:
- During spring, the temple becomes even more enchanting.
- Cherry blossom trees adorn the surroundings, creating a breathtaking scene against the backdrop of Mount Gohareizan.
