It was opened by remodeling part of the storehouse of Yumesoukan. The history of medicine in Takatori Town is long, and it is said that in 612 AD during the Asuka period, Empress Suiko led Prince Shotoku and her companions on a medicine hunt in the mountains and fields of Haneda in Takatori. Blessed with rich nature, it seems that there was an abundance of medicinal plants and animals. Medical techniques and the effects of medicine were transmitted from China, and family medicines were created by combining them with secret prescriptions, and Yamato medicines were spread throughout the country by mountain ascetics.
