Located in Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, Qian County is an important area for grain production in the Guanzhong region. Qian County borders Liquan to the east and is quite close to the Liquan county seat. It borders Xingping to the south and Yongshou to the north. The county is famous for the Qianling Mausoleum, where China’s only ever reigning female emperor Wu Zetian (c. 624-705) and her husband Emperor Gaozong of Tang (649-683) are interred. Qian County has a long history and many tourist attractions. There are over 539 ancient cultural sites here and three imperial tombs, and it is the first of Shaanxi's 18 counties listed as major sources of cultural relics. Qian County has many local specialty snacks, popular ones being the “Qianzhou Four Treasures” of guokui bread, guamian (vermicelli), the soft “tofu brain” (doufunao), and the crispy bread chasu.
