We had an unforgettable experience at Zoo Negara! The highlight of our visit was seeing the majestic elephants, lions, and giraffes up close. The elephants, in particular, were incredible - their gentle giant nature left us all in awe. But what made the experience truly special was seeing the wonder in my daughter's eyes. She was beyond excited to see her favorite animals, and her infectious enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable for my wife and me. The zoo's layout and facilities were also impressive, making it easy for us to navigate and take in all the amazing sights. Overall, we had a fantastic time at Zoo Negara and would highly recommend it to families and animal lovers alike. The National Zoo is situated 13 km from the centre of Kuala Lumpur, with features about 400 species of Malaysian and exotic mammals, reptiles and birds. Its aquarium "Tunku Abdul Rahman Aquarium" is a very popular attraction. It displays over 80 species of aquatic animals, both marine and freshwater, including invertebrates. But what amazed me was the Panda parade! There are 3 panda there, which are very cute. Glad that I as able to meet the two giant pandas Xing Xing and Liang Liang - the zoo's most famous residents. The environment of this Panda parade is cool and clean. which provided the Pandas a very good quality of living. Other than that, this zoo do have penguin and other special species! Zoo Negera Malaysia is the largest zoo in the country. Located near Melawati area with a ton of colourful and friendly animals. This zoo has a plenty of free parking lot with entrance ticket RM30-50 per normal person. The most popular cage here is a Giant Panda habitat and "Oyen" which referring to orange colour cat at capybara area. This one because Oyen always company the capybara and spend wholeday here making this one quite unique and fun to Malaysian. But if you are bird lover, you can spend at the bird park to pet friendly and freely bird here such as parrot bird. #traveldiaries

#malaysiatrip Wonderful place to visit with your kids. My little one thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. We reached at 10 AM. Walked through the entire zoo and saw many animals. After 2 it becomes very very hot. Highly recommend to get cap, enough water, a hand fan, snacks etc. We had lunch at one of the restaurants inside which was pretty good and reasonably priced. Be careful with monkeys and big monitor lizards which are seen here and there. Kids might be a little scared of those. Animals were mostly sleeping when we went. There is also battery car facility in case you are unable to walk. We stayed till 4.30. We watched the 3.30 show in the Amphitheater. It was okay. We were hardly able to hear what the person was talking. We saw a couple of birds, seal, chickens etc in the show. Overall if you have kids who love animals definitely worth visiting. It wasn’t crowded. However the show at the amphitheater was full and there was hardly place left to sit if you reach late.

There is a huge carpark space in front of the zoo. Highlights: The National Zoo of Malaysia is quite huge. There are tram service provided but not free. Advice to learn the map prior to the visit. The animal show only available from Saturday to Thursday at 11am and 3pm. So be sure to arrange your visit time accordingly so you don’t miss the animal show. There are several cafes inside the zoo. The price of the food and beverages sold at the cafes are not that expensive. A little marked up but not as expensive as sold inside a theme park. The main attraction that drew me to drive all the way from Penang to Kuala Lumpur was to pay Yiyi and Shengyi(giant pandas) a visit before they are to be sent back to China. With given only 15 minutes in the Panda Observatory, I decided to scroll around the zoo and I ended up spending more than 4 hours taking shots on the animals inside this “kingdom”. This trip is worth with the ticket price of RM36(booked online) inclusive of a 30 minutes animal shows. Zoo Negara Malaysia, a place that features various species of animals. Come visit this place with your kids for a nice family outing. But before you go, I would suggest you to check the weather forecast first since it is raining quite often nowadays. Fun trip to Zoo Negara with my fam. Kids enjoying it so much as they can see wild animals with their own eyes and learned to know more about its nearly extinction species and it make them appreciate it more. There's a lot of animals at the zoo such as lion, tiger, cheetah, giraffes, elephants, birds, monkey, crocodiles, snakes, penguins and the most awaits for is the pandas. We love this zoo! It is clean and well cared for, the animals seem quite content, good options are great! Definitely must see the panda exhibit! They are just so cute! The national zoo is a decent place to travel especially families with kids. The zoo was well located for it’s natural environment. Large varieties of animals are featured from minuscule to enormous including colourful birds, Malaysian Tiger and giant Panda etc.. There is an animal show which fascinated me. It was well choreographed and design by professional. If you are lucky, you will be call upon stage to have some animal interactions. I highly recommend to have a look if you got the chance. My personal suggestion to go is on the morning when the sun is not burning strongly. Getting umbrella or wearing cap based on your personal preference.

After a 2 years pandemic, finally we are allowed to visit Zoo Negara again. We went during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri and it was crowded. We can see parents bringing their children to the zoo.
