Xi'an, the capital of 13 ancient dynasties, is a city that deserves to be savored
I've always wanted to visit Xi'an, but there are just too many tourists
On this trip, I stumbled upon a hidden courtyard hotel
It's a real gem to have such a quiet place in the bustling city center
For me, "staying" is the most important part of traveling
So I have very high standards for hotels, they need to be photogenic, have good service, and be of high quality
And Yangchen Hotel in Xi'an meets all these requirements
-
The hotel only has 16 guest rooms, it's a small but exquisite paradise
The overall structure of the hotel courtyard is modeled after the Tang Dynasty
The wabi-sabi aesthetic combined with the charm of Xi'an's ancient capital exudes a unique sense of relaxation
Coming to Xi'an to experience the bustling Datang Everbright City, Bell Tower, Drum Tower
The peace and mystery within the city wall is another kind of experience
The city wall is just 10 meters away, it's very pleasant to go for a run along the city wall in the morning or take a walk after dinner
-
The overall service of the hotel is also very good, the butler-style service is very thoughtful
They serve fruit and Xi'an specialty sweet rice wine soup at night, which tastes very good
Breakfast is also a Xi'an specialty, so you don't need to go out and eat at different places
We booked a room where you can take a bath in the courtyard, which is perfect for relaxing after a day of city walking
What surprised me the most was that Yangchen's toiletries were from the Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo series
The hotel's quality, details, and environment were the most satisfying part of this trip

Xi'an's ultimate relaxing hotel to avoid the crowds
Xi'an's ultimate relaxing hotel to avoid the crowds
Located at the foot of the Xi'an city wall, quiet in the midst of the hustle and bustle.
Only 16 rooms, breakfast is only for us and we can order, surrounded by dessert shops and private kitchens.
The hotel also has a bar and coffee afternoon tea, on the negative second floor you can watch movies and have breakfast, perfect for couples, sisters, and family trips! Guaranteed to produce great photos.
1️⃣ Location
Northeast corner of Xi'an city wall, very close to Xi'an railway station, but very quiet around, convenient transportation and good parking.
2️⃣ Facilities
The hotel is one of the newest I've stayed in, I asked and it was built in 2023, the decoration is very tasteful, with many corners perfect for photos, blending a bit of Xi'an's characteristics with wabi-sabi style.
The room I stayed in had a small courtyard, and some courtyards have outdoor bathtubs, with fresh complimentary fruit upon check-in, and special soup delivered at night. The toiletries and hairdryer are all from big brands. The hotel has its own bar, coffee shop, and gym.
3️⃣ Restaurant
Semi-buffet, featuring local Xi'an specialties, with private rooms available for separate reservations, and the staff is very enthusiastic and attentive.
4️⃣ Disadvantages
Afternoon tea cannot be booked at any time, it needs to be reserved in advance, we didn't manage to book it at the time, originally wanted to take some photos but later went to the bar for some drinks. The breakfast variety is slightly limited, possibly because there are not many people and they want to avoid waste.

The villa hotel you must stay at in Xi'an, it's amazing
I stumbled upon this hotel by chance, and chose to stay here while visiting Xi'an. My friend said I made a great choice. Although it's located in the city center, it feels as tranquil as being in the mountains. The privacy is excellent, and you can feel the weight of history while enjoying the exquisite and unique modern aesthetic design. I didn't expect to find such a distinctive hotel with excellent service at the foot of the city wall. What a pleasant surprise! 👏
🏠Room Type/Layout: Each room type in the hotel is relatively spacious, bright, and comfortable, with a reasonable layout. The photos turn out great 📷. The mattress is of medium firmness, making it very comfortable to sleep on. It was raining in Xi'an when we arrived, and sitting in the small courtyard of the room, listening to the rain and sipping tea 🍵 was super relaxing. You could spend a whole day doing nothing but drinking tea and unwinding 🧡.
🛏Supplies/Facilities: The hotel owner is really willing to spend on the rooms. The toiletries are from Acqua di Parma, there's a Dyson hairdryer, trendy luxury kettles and speakers, and the coffee and tea provided are all branded. Even the tea sets look very exquisite and tasteful, making you feel at ease using them, just like at home. You can bring much less luggage 🎒.
🏣Hotel Hygiene: As soon as we entered, we checked every corner of the room. The hygiene was very clean, even the common hygiene dead corners were well taken care of. The carpets and sofas were very clean with no obvious stains, and the daily maintenance was excellent. Thumbs up 👍👍.
🌟Highlights: The hotel also offers 24-hour butler service 🎩. I have to say, it's so considerate and friendly, making you feel very secure. A phone call 📞 and they are there, meeting almost all your needs, making you feel very close and completely trustworthy. The butler ladies are all gentle, beautiful, and elegant. I love it.
💗Other Tips: The butler mentioned that the hotel has only 1⃣6⃣ rooms, converted and built from villas. Although there are few rooms, the facilities are basically complete. The restaurant (breakfast 🍳 and lunch 🍲 are delicious, you won't be disappointed eating at the hotel), bar 🥂, coffee shop ☕️, or rather coffee cart outside the lobby, makes great coffee. There's also a gym 🏋🏻 and a self-service laundry room with both washing and drying machines. If you don't have time to wait for your clothes to dry, the butler will help dry them for you. Once again, the service is amazing.
Oh, and the hotel delivers different sweet soups 🥣 to the room every night. The soups are very good, perfect for drinking a bowl of cool and refreshing soup after a day out, curbing the desire for a late-night snack. Excellent.
✅Must Experience: In short, this hotel is full of surprises. All the worries about safety, hygiene, etc., are well taken care of. Besides that, the photos turn out great 📷, even my friend who is always chasing perfect shots was impressed. Even I, who am not good at taking photos, could easily get good shots, saving a lot of time to go out and play more.
The hotel owner is also super nice, helping us find spots to take photos, drinking tea with us, and recommending good places to eat and visit. All the staff at the hotel are very friendly, giving you the closeness and security of being at home, as well as the comfort and relaxation of being on a trip. Highly recommended‼️

Xi'an! This wabi-sabi style hotel is absolutely amazing
As a history buff and design enthusiast, I felt like I struck gold when I discovered the Xi'an Yangchen Hotel! It's not just a place to stay, it's like an art gallery hidden at the foot of the city wall. What captivated me the most is the view of the ancient city wall framed right outside the window, as if I was living in a historical painting.
The hotel nestles at the northeast corner of the Xi'an city wall, neighboring the Chaoyang Gate, yet it stands as a realm of tranquility on its own. Far from the hustle and bustle of the Bell Tower and the Muslim Quarter, every step here is a dialogue between the new and the old. After a tiring day wandering the ancient city, the night view of the city wall becomes my gentlest goodnight.
The exterior of Yangchen is simple yet elegant, with a courtyard-style layout that offers a view at every step. The blend of Eastern Zen and the historical charm of the old capital is evident in every corner, reflecting the designer's careful consideration. Stepping in here, even breathing slows down.
The family room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious, with details that added extra points. The soup pool suite comes with its own small garden, and at night, the silhouette of the city wall becomes the most unique background music. I must mention, the Parma water toiletries are simply synonymous with a refined lifestyle.
