#Fuwan Manor Chocolate-Donggang Town, Pingtung County
#AprilGoodDestinations2025
In recent years, some coffee trees and cocoa bean trees have been planted in Pingtung. Although the production capacity is not very large, the quality is indeed very good. I took my kids out for an outing again this weekend, and our destination was the Fuwan Chocolate Factory in Donggang Town, which is also a tourist factory that also provides parent-child DIY chocolate making. There is a beautiful building with green exterior in front of the entrance. In addition to selling some ice cream, drinks and meals, of course, the signature of this factory is chocolate. I don’t know if it’s because I won the championship and the gold medal, or because things are rare and valuable, but I really can’t afford to spend several hundred dollars on just one piece of chocolate. It doesn’t matter if you can’t afford it, you can come to the DIY classroom and make chocolate with the kids. During the process, you can see the focused eyes of the kids and how they carefully put the ingredients according to the teacher’s instructions to create their own work. Other kids can’t wait to start eating it, with satisfied expressions written all over their faces. In addition to beautiful buildings, there is also a lawn in the factory where children can jump, chase and play. Under the awning next to it, you can see workers peeling cocoa beans. The cocoa fruits in the wooden boxes look like papayas, bitter gourds, and golden mangoes. There are all kinds of bright and beautiful colors. There is a glass house opposite the awning, where the cocoa beans that have been taken out are being exposed to sunlight. The glass house has a large electric fan exhaust fan to adjust the temperature inside the house. This tourist factory is just like their chocolate, it is a high-quality tourist factory with good environment and all aspects. I think people would still support the chocolate if it was more affordable, instead of them raising their prices just because they won an award. In Taiwan, you can see stores everywhere that set their prices very high after winning awards in competitions. In the end, these stores suffer because their products are too high-end and their business cannot continue. Of course, the purpose of doing business is to make money, but setting the profit too high is profiteering. The balance between profit cost and sales volume tests the wisdom of the store owner.
