[Tokyo🇯🇵] Let's take a walk around history🤍
When you think of Tokyo, you probably think of downtown areas like Shibuya and Shinjuku, or Asakusa, but there are also some hidden gems where you can enjoy history and style!
The area I'm introducing this time is Shibamata.
The town is also known as the setting for the TV drama "Otoko wa Tsurai yo".
It was pretty stylish, so I'd like to introduce a weekend plan to spend time in Shibamata!
① Shibamata Haikara Yokocho (first photo)
A toy museum with a retro atmosphere, located about a minute's walk from Shibamata Station.
Even though it's a toy museum, it's more like a candy store 🍪🍭
There are so many nostalgic candy that you end up buying a lot of them...
The atmosphere of the building is Showa-like and the decorations are unique, making it retro and stylish!!
② Taishakuten Sando (second photo)
A shopping street where you can feel like you've traveled back in time to the Showa era.
There are a lot of restaurants and souvenir shops lined up, so you can eat while walking around!
There were so many interesting shops that everyone kept walking a little and then stopping to look around lol
The atmosphere is also stylish, so it's a great place for people who like photography!
③ Shibamata Taishakuten and Suikeien (photos 3-6)
This is a Nichiren sect temple, and the 500-year-old pine tree in the grounds is impressive.
The best of the three is Suikeien.
A place where you can feel the beauty of a Japanese garden.
You can walk along the corridor and enjoy the garden!
You can visit the sculpture gallery for 400 yen.
There are benches, and the garden was very nice to sit on and look at.
There are surprisingly few people, so you can spend a relaxing time 🤍
If you look closely, you'll see a turtle in the pond and a monkey statue in the garden, and it's quite an interesting bridge!
④ Yamamototei (photos 7-9)
Yamamototei is located behind Shibamata Taishakuten, about a 5-minute walk away.
A stylish tea house that was once a residence.
The highlight of this place is the beautiful large Japanese garden!
You can visit for 100 yen~
The main room where you can enjoy tea at your leisure has large windows, so you can relax while looking at the garden.
I hope you spend a beautiful time that makes you forget time!!
Shibamata is a place where you can enjoy history and a Japanese atmosphere.
Please come and visit us next weekend~
