When I arrived at the Bird's Nest, I chose a sightseeing bus at the entrance (30 yuan/person). After everyone was on board, the sightseeing bus took us on a tour. We basically went around the Bird's Nest first, with a small tour guide on the bus explaining things to us. Then we were taken to the Water Cube, where we could walk around freely.
