    Definitely Worth a day spend

    My day at Japan’s Universal Studios in Kansai was a whirlwind of excitement and fun, especially with the One Piece show. Even though I couldn’t understand Japanese, the energy was infectious. The actors brought the characters to life with such enthusiasm, and the special effects made me feel part of the Straw Hat crew. Then, I headed to Mario Land, a true gamer’s paradise. I got to experience the immersive environment of the Mushroom Kingdom—jumping blocks, meeting characters, and even “powering up” along the way. Every corner was packed with nostalgic details and interactive surprises, which brought back my childhood memories of playing Mario. Finally, Harry Potter’s Castle was nothing short of magical. Walking through the dark, enchanted corridors of Hogwarts was like stepping into a storybook. From Hogsmeade to the Forbidden Forest, each detail was mesmerizing, capturing the world of wizards in all its glory. And having the Fast Pass for all rides made the experience so much smoother—no waiting in lines, just pure enjoyment!     Exclusive to 2024, Universal Studios Japan in Osaka This time, I bought tickets plus 7 fast passes. Staying at a hotel within the Universal Studios area. As soon as we entered the park, we rushed to the Demon Slayer attraction. Then we went to the Minions, Hollywood Dream, two Mario attractions, two Harry Potter attractions, and various other thrilling rides without having to wait in line. It was so much fun! 😍 In the evening, zombies invaded the park. Besides the horror, there were also Ado's songs, and everyone was super excited and had a great time. Compared with the Universal Studios Beijing that many people have been to, the location of Universal Studios Japan is not in Osaka, but it is still very fast to take a tram from major stations such as Shinsaibashi and Namba. Like us, we live in Kitahama, and it takes about 30 minutes to arrive. Therefore, if you only buy a 1-day ticket, there is no need to live near Universal Studios. The time we chose was a non-holiday peak period, so we basically played all the projects we wanted to play in 1 day. Universal Studios Japan and Universal Studios Beijing have a high degree of repetition, so I just pick some not so- -like to talk about. The first is definitely Super Nintendo WorldTM.     Demon Slayer Attraction at Universal Studios Japan

    📍 2 Chome-1-33 Sakurajima, Konohana Ward, Osaka, 554-0031 Japan The Demon Slayer ride is a combination of VR and roller coaster, depicting the Mugen Train arc from the series. The VR visuals are clear and seamless, so there's no dizziness, and it feels like you're really seeing the scenes right in front of you while riding the attraction. Personally, I usually don't prefer VR rides because they make me dizzy, but after experiencing the Demon Slayer ride, I've become more interested in VR attractions.

    #100WaysOfTravel #themeparks Our Japan itinerary included a visit for Universal. We’ve been to universal Orlando a dozen times, so was excited to see it in Asia. It cost around £40 for the tickets and hot on everyone’s list is getting in to Nintendo world. We arrived 1 hour before the park opened, to get a timed entry slot to Nintendo world. We logged in on the app and got a slot for 8:30am. The park was very busy! We went in July, it was very hot and humid. They have some old rides like Jaws, which used to be in the Orlando park, so it was a good throwback! Overall the day was good, long wait times, but that’s expected and some of the best rides where the Japanese animated ones. Would highly recommend a visit here!

    The Incredible Super Nintendo World at USJ 🇯🇵

    I’m so lucky I got to visit Super Nintendo World after it had opened. Located in Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, it is absolutely beyond expectations! The official park opening time was 9:00am but I had read online they open the gates around 8:00am. I arrived just after 7:00am and secured my spot very close to the front of the queue. Amazingly, they did open the park early and it was a full on sprint to Super Nintendo World! I didn’t have time to stop and take photos as I entered the land, and I barely even looked around. I was heading straight for Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge. This ride was wild. I’ve never experienced anything like it before. I managed to ride it two more times before 9:00am!!! I eventually managed to figure out what I was actually doing because the first ride was just so overwhelming with the VR headset. Yoshi’s Adventure is a slower, much more chilled attraction that takes you around his kingdom and then outside to see the land from above. It’s very cute but I feel like they could’ve done more with this. Throughout the land there are various character meet and greets. You can find Mario & Luigi, Toad and Princess Peach. There was always long lines to meet them! ‼️ If you arrive later, you are required to get a timed entry ticket to enter Super Nintendo World.     So Much Fun at Universal Studios Japan! 🇯🇵

    Located in Osaka, Japan, I had the best day ever at Universal Studios Japan! 🍄 Super Nintendo World was definitely the highlight of my day! Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge is one of the most immerse, crazy rides I have ever been on. The whole land is a wild experience and I was literally in shock! Yoshi’s Adventure is a more chill ride that takes you slowly around the land and through his kingdom. 🪄 The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was exciting as always. I love how everyone buys a wand and dresses like they are a student at Hogwarts! My favourite part of this land is Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction. I went in the single rider’s line to avoid the long queues! 🦕 Jurassic Park is a really cool area to explore. Not only does it have the water ride with a huge drop, there is also The Flying Dinosaur. This is a flying rollercoaster and I really enjoyed it! 🏎️ No Limit! Parade might be one of the best parades ever. I’m being serious. The variety of characters is great, but at one point they stop and it turns into a party! Everyone comes into the street and dances together! I loved it! 🎢 Hollywood Dream - The Ride is similar to Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, where you choose a song to listen to while you ride the coaster. But this one has two versions of the ride - one goes backwards!     The most fun I had in Japan

    Universal Studios Japan has been easily the most fun I had in Japan during my 2 weeks trip, while it was crowded lines surprisingly moved somewhat fast and all attractions were definitely worth it. The best attractions and action shows I have ever enjoyed and seen in my life. It's definitely recommended to arrive somewhat early and the moment you enter book your timed entry for Mario World then quickly run to the Harry Potter world to enjoy it before it's too crowded.     📍Address: Universal Studios Japan, Osaka. MUST TRY: 1. Butter beer (cold): 10/10 it tastes so good! however i don’t really like the hot one. There’re few spots to buy, a kiosk near entrance, and at the restaurant. Long queue however service is fast 2. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride: it was one of the best ride i have ever take. feels like a wizard riding the magic broomstick. Wizarding World is one of the most famous area in USJ, at some times (peak day) you need to take an entry ticket slot before entering. You need to arrive early (before opening time) to grab the slot. However if you come during non-peak day, theres no need for the entry slot. STILL go on the ride FIRST because it is crowded after noon. Souvenirs are pretty and at decent price. A bit cheaper than disney. Halal food option is unavailable. For muslim, you can ask for a room at the receptionist to pray. how to go: it is accessible by train. take a train from Namba station, exchange into USJ train at Nishikujo station. the final stop is Universalcity. #japan #osaka #universalstudios

    Universal Studios Japan in Osaka has a great overall atmosphere, and it's the most enthusiastic of the four Universal Studios parks I've visited. However, without a good strategy, you'll end up waiting in long lines and might miss the Nintendo area, so I've put together the following guide: ✅【Preparation】 ❶ Purchase tickets online in advance, then download the USJ app and link your tickets. ❷ Bring 100-yen coins (for lockers), disposable raincoats (you might get wet on water rides), and a water bottle. ❸ Bring a power bank and other electronic devices. ⭐️【On the Day】 ❶ Operating hours: Generally from 8 AM to 9/10 PM, but it varies daily, so be sure to check in advance before you go. ❷ Those who enter first can head straight to Nintendo (if you enter early, you don't need a timed entry ticket to play, see USJ live for details), or you can draw a digital timed entry ticket using the USJ app after scanning your ticket to enter the park, and choose a suitable time. ❸ If you don't get a free digital timed entry ticket, you can also buy one on-site at the Nintendo area entrance (limited quantity, 2000 yen), with a designated entry time. 📮【Tour Order】 ❶ Nintendo: Includes Mario Kart, Yoshi's Adventure (a train ride through the Mario area), and Power Up Band Challenges. ❷ Harry Potter: 4D experience, Hippogriff flight. ❸ Hollywood: Demon Slayer XR experience - a must-go, Hollywood Dream ride, 4D experience area. ❹ Minions: Mischievous ride. ❺ Jurassic Park: Flying Dinosaur coaster, boat ride. ❻ WaterWorld: Multiple shows available, check USJ for schedule, showtimes vary by month. ❼ Amity Village: Jaws. ❽ Universal Wonderland: A mix of various IPs, great for photos. ❾ Parade: There's only one at 2 PM, goes around Hollywood, with characters like Mario and Pokémon coming out for a close-up celebration, great atmosphere, see image 1 for the parade route. ❤️【Ticket Purchase】 For those worried about not being good at Japanese or not knowing how to buy tickets, you can purchase them on Ctrip.     Osaka USJ Tour Sequence Without Express Pass Guide

    Recommended tour sequence for Osaka USJ without an express pass. Mario and Harry Potter Forbidden Journey are must-plays! For the remaining attractions, it's recommended to choose either one roller coaster or two out of three, Minions, Spider-Man, and in between, you can intersperse parades and some performances. One day is enough! Specific route: It is advised to go on Tuesday to Thursday when it's least crowded, and it's best to arrive at the gate 40 minutes or more before opening to queue up for entry. Once inside, immediately reserve a time slot for the Mario area and then head to the Jurassic coaster/Harry Potter, depending on which has fewer people. Next, go to the Hollywood coaster/Doraemon (this and the Hollywood coaster can be a personal choice to play or not), then Minions and other areas - Spider-Man (if there's no time, skip Spider-Man and leave the park directly).
