A novice traveler's 4 nights and 5 days trip to Tokyo DAY 1-3
🗺️🗺️ 【Travel Itinerary】
▶️Day 1: Incheon Airport -> Tokyo Akihabara
After taking the 3pm flight and arriving at Narita Airport, I quickly went through immigration and went to ride the Skyliner.
🚅I went to get a Suica card before boarding the Skyliner,
but they didn't issue a regular Suica, and only a ⚠️Welcome Suica (one month)⚠️ card was issued. You can't use it after one month, so use it at convenience stores and vending machines before departure!
🚅You can easily get a Skyliner by pressing the Korean button at the kiosk without any language difficulties. If you purchased it on Trip.com, you can quickly select your seat by entering the voucher QR code!
From Narita, take the 🚅 Skyliner and get off at Ueno Station, then take the 🚃 JY Yamanote Line - Akihabara Station train to your accommodation
After checking in quickly, unpacking, and leaving for Akihabara Station in a hurry
After having a quick dinner at Roast Beef Ono, I walked around Akihabara. As expected, there were many things to see and buy. You can't enjoy Akihabara in an hour or two, so make sure to make a plan before you go!
▶️ Day 2: Tokyo Ueno -> Shinjuku -> Harajuku -> Shibuya
From your Akihabara accommodation to Ueno, we walked for about 🚶♂️15 minutes and then went to Ueno Parco Department Store.
To enjoy a quick breakfast at Habs!
The department store opens at 10 o'clock. You can't go inside! When the door opened, I went straight to Habs on the 2nd floor, so I was able to enter without waiting. ⚠️Meals like pasta are available from 11am.
I ordered milk crepes, cakes, coffee, and black tea, and they were delicious, as expected.
For full-scale shopping, I took the 🚃JY Yamanote Line to Shinjuku Station, and when I arrived at Shinjuku Station,
I headed to Shinjuku Isetan Department Store. I bought cosmetics and hats!
⚠️Don't forget to stop by the 6th floor to get tax-free shopping!
⚠️If you use Isetan Department Store, make sure to make a membership card!
You can buy it even cheaper with the 5% Isetan membership discount + 10% tax-free discount.
I took the 🚌Ike 86 bus from Shinjuku to Omotesando.
After arriving at Omotesando, I did some light shopping and then went sightseeing along Takeshita Street
🍜I arrived at Afuri Ramen and had lunch. I ate shio ramen and shoyu ramen.
The yuzu flavor was very unique and it didn't feel greasy because of the flavor. I happened to go into this ramen restaurant, but it became my life ramen restaurant. If you take a ticket from the kiosk and give it to the staff, they will bring you your food! Oh, Korean is not supported.
I recommend this ramen restaurant! The wait was about 15 minutes.
From Harajuku to Omotesando, there were only things that caught my eye, so it took a long time to look around.
Please bring a lot of money....
After shopping, 🚶♂️I walked to Shibuya Miyashita Park.
I stopped by Miyashita Park Starbucks and had a quick coffee and took a short break.
The night view from the bench right next to it was really nice. Please stop by and take a break :) ☕️
I tried to go to Shibuya Sushi no Midori, but there was a huge wait and the registration deadline overlapped, so
I had a quick tonkatsu and returned to my lodging. 😭
▶️Day 3: Tokyo Shiba Park -> Azabu Dai Hills -> Ginza -> Akiba
🚃Take the JY Yamanote Line to Hamamatsucho Station and 🚶♂️walk for about 10 minutes to get to Shiba Park. For breakfast, I got a McDonald's McMorning to-go on the way and ate it at Shiba Park. As expected, there were a lot of people in the area where Tokyo Tower was visible, but it was okay to take pictures.😊
To digest, 🚶♂️I walked to Akasaka Ark Hills.
Today's lunch goal is 🍛Tsujihan
I arrived right at opening time, but the wait was a little less than 30 minutes. This is my second visit, and I don't eat fish very well, but I don't know why it's so delicious.
I ordered Take (1650 yen) and Tsuma (2200 yen + sea urchin) out of the four menus.
There were often comments saying that sea urchin was bitter, but it wasn't bitter at all.
If you like sea urchin, definitely add it.
I walked to Azabu Dai Hills again 🚶♂️, took pictures, and looked around.
Upstairs, there are interior furniture, props, and souvenirs.
In the basement, there are desserts, coffee, Team Lab, and many other things to see.
If you're interested, I definitely recommend going.
🚃Take the H Hibiya Line to Ginza.
It's time to go shopping again.
There are many luxury stores and Ginza Six... If you like alcohol, there are many liquor stores!
If you like street brands, you must visit Dover Street!
I also recommend visiting Uniqlo and GU! I'm going to spend a lot of money....🤤Gulp....
I didn't have a plan for what to eat for dinner, but 🍖I decided to visit a yakiniku restaurant called Izumino without a reservation. I was lucky and they said they could seat me right away, so I ordered the 8,800 yen bamboo course per person. There was a lot of meat, so I was very full.🤣
The owner was Korean, and he explained each part of the meat and was very kind.
I couldn't walk because I was so full, so I took a taxi back to my accommodation.🫠
To be continued in the next episode....
Thank you to those who read the long post,
I hope you have good luck on your journey. Have a nice trip.
