Tiananmen Square
In this post, anyone who has traveled to Beijing, China, probably no one will not know this place. This is Tiananmen Square, and inside the square is the Forbidden City. It is named after the Tiananmen Gate, located in the north, which is the Forbidden City area. Tiananmen Square is surrounded by important architecture, including the national flag pole at the north end of the square and the Monument to the Heroes in the center of the square.

Tiananmen Square + Beijing
Tiananmen Square + Beijing
This is a breathtaking attraction that I would certainly recommend taking the time to see. I took a taxi from downtown Beijing but it's also possible to get the metro. I would recommend going as early as possible!
I travelled in the Chinese New Year holiday. The security queue took about an hour and then there were several more queues to check tickets before being admitted. Due to the sheer size of the palace, the crowds weren't too disruptive once entered.
You cannot get tickets on the day. You have to prebook them. I booked a week in advance using the mini programme on Wechat but l'm sure there are tour places available to help people book without using Wechat. I would recommend booking as early as possible if you are visiting on the weekend or a National holiday.
It's easy to spend the entire afternoon/morning here. It's a labyrinth of beautiful temples and museums. There are small restaurants and gift shops on site. It's also easy to visit Tianmen Square and Jingshan park as they are opposite (opposing ends) the attraction.

Good to see for the history!
Tiananmen square is just that…a square. But if you think of the history behind it, it becomes so much more and it is so worth going to see. So if you don’t have an interest and appreciation for history you will be disappointed. It takes a few minutes to walk through the square and see the monument. So it’s a good thing to see if you only have a short time available.
Things you should know:
-If you are only going to the square, enter from the side furthest from The Forbidden City. It’s much quieter.
-Chairman Mao’s mausoleum is only open till 12:00.
-The China National Museum is right there, but requires buying tickets. It’s done by scanning the qr code via WeChat.
-Just as with the forbidden city there will be multiple passport checks if you enter from the side closer to the museum.
Hope this helps! Enjoy!

Tiananmen Square ➿ China Travel Attractions
When you think of Beijing, it's the first thing that comes to mind, so you can see it as the most representative tourist attraction☺️ The feeling of actually encountering the architecture that I had only seen in books was really overwhelming! There are a lot of people, but it's a popular place, so you should definitely visit it when you travel to Beijing❤️

The Largest Square, Tian’anmen Square
Tiananmen Square is the heart of Beijing, the largest central square in the world. The floor of the square is all paved with light-colored granite stone.
Every day, many people get up early and come to the Plaza to appreciate the solemn ceremony of raising the national flag at sunrise. Above all, during the first day of the year, more people usually join here to embrace the sunlight of the year that begins.

Tiananmen Square (Beijing)
I took advantage of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday in September to visit Tiananmen Square in Beijing.
From Qianmen Station on Subway Line 2, it's about a 1km walk to the famous portrait of former Chinese Chairman Mao Zedong. You can enter after passing through security and checking your health code at the entrance.
Unfortunately it was raining on the day, but the square was quite lively with tourists from all over China taking photos and such.
The vastness of the square, the size of the buildings and stone statues, etc. are truly impressive.

Beijing-Tiananmen Square
Beijing-Tiananmen Square
The location of Tiananmen Square was the "Thousand-Step Corridor" of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
It is adjacent to buildings and roads to the east and west.
The Imperial City of Beijing was built in the 15th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1417).
It’s been 600 years now😱👍🏾
Tiananmen Square is a city square located in the center of Beijing.
It is one of the largest city squares in the world.
Because it is located at "Tiananmen", the south gate of the imperial city of Beijing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties
It gets its name from the outside. There is a flag pole at the north end of the square.
Flag-raising and flag-lowering ceremonies are held every day at sunrise and sunset.

Tiananmen Square - Beijing
We had a great time at Tiananmen Square! We arrived around 2pm and it was quite busy but not too bad. There are plenty of bikes around there so you can easily enjoy a nice bike ride to your next destination! Beijing’s traffic is awful, ride a bike whenever you get a chance! Have fun!

A sight to behold
On a fresh morning during the republic day, among 1000 of visitors in that 1000 metres you get that goosebump feeling when the flag is raised. Yes, I am telling about the flag hoisting ceremony 🎋that happens at 天安门广场 ( Tiananmen square). It is such a raise of spirit not only for the thousands of people standing there but also for millions of people watching over TV. It is almost a dream, to watch the soliders bringing the flags and raising it to the top of the pole. Situated right in front of the Forbidden city, this place has historical importance. Near to this, is located Mao Zedong's mausoleum🏯 where his body is preserved and kept. Overall, it is such a sight to behold in your mind for long time 😎

Tiananmen Square
Just in front of the Forbidden City. It is a very huge square where people can just walk around and enjoy the background which is the entrance gate of the forbidden city. This is also where you can see military drills like flag raising ceremony early in the morning. This is also a very famous place when there are huge celebrations for China they close all the traffic for their military parades here.

📍Beijing
Tiananmen square is the highlight of Beijing City. You seriously need to come here because Tiananmen is located at the heart of Beijing. It’s a gate to Forbidden city. I’ve been to inside Tiananmen. But on those pictures, i took the pictures outside the Tiananmen. It was freezing like crazy and i didn’t have energy to walk to the inside. this was my second time and only a day trip because i was on a train transit.

Tiananmen Square is very majestic palace covering a huge area right in the city of Beijing. Its beautiful traditional red buildings with combination of gold is one of the most important thing to see if you visit Beijing. After going around the palace, you can also climb up the hill at the back of the palace where you can see the palace from above. #HalloTrip

Beijing | An unforgettable trip to the capital.
| An unforgettable trip to the capital. 📍Must-see attractions:
The Forbidden City: Red walls and yellow tiles, resplendent and magnificent. Stepping into the Forbidden City is like traveling back in time. Every palace carries a heavy history and story. The grandeur of the Hall of Supreme Harmony and the solemnity of the Palace of Heavenly Purity are awe-inspiring. Walking through the Forbidden City, you can feel the majesty and luxury of the royal family. The Forbidden City is beautiful in all seasons, with spring flowers and winter snow, all of which are not to be missed.
Badaling Great Wall: Majestic and steep, like a giant dragon lying in the mountains. Climbing the Great Wall is not only a physical challenge but also a spiritual shock. Standing on the wall, looking at the distant mountains, you will feel infinite pride and experience the wisdom and resilience of the ancients.
Nanluoguxiang: Hutong streets full of old Beijing style. There are various specialty shops and food stalls, a blend of tradition and modernity. Walking through it, you can taste authentic snacks and find unique souvenirs, feeling the local atmosphere of Beijing.
🥘Specialty restaurants:
Menkuang Hutong Century-old Braised Pork: Their braised pork has a rich and mellow flavor, the large intestine is fatty but not greasy, and the fire-roasted bread is soaked in the soup. Every bite is full of the unique flavor of old Beijing, leaving a lasting impression.
Hongbinlou: As a time-honored brand, their coriander-exploded scattered eggs are crispy and tender, the lamb is fresh and tender without a muttony taste, and the sugar-glazed rolls are sweet and soft. All kinds of halal dishes are made very authentic.
🎈Unique experience: I attended a temple fair in Beijing, and the scene was bustling. Various traditional performances such as dragon and lion dances were wonderful, and there were a variety of handicraft stalls. I personally tried making sugar paintings, watching the syrup magically turn into vivid patterns in the hands of the master. Although I was a bit clumsy when I did it myself, it was full of fun. In the end, holding the sugar painting I made, I felt a sense of accomplishment and a deeper appreciation for the charm of Beijing's traditional culture.
Beijing is such a charming and surprising city, with historical sites, specialty food, and unique experiences waiting for you to explore. 💕
