See the carved wooden church at Khao Chuang Temple.
🙏🏻It's almost Buddhist Lent now. Biologirl has a beautiful temple to recommend to friends.
📍Wat Khao Chang, Pong Nam Ron District, Chanthaburi Province
✨The highlight is the carved wooden church with beautiful and intricate patterns.
🛣️Starting from the entrance of the temple with a prominent archway, clearly visible. Further in, there is a concrete road shady with trees leading to the temple, making the overall atmosphere of the temple look very shady and peaceful.
Inside the temple, there is a half-concrete, half-wooden pavilion decorated with warm-colored wood. Each pillar is meticulously carved with different patterns, including a beautifully carved Kakhian tree.
🙏🏻Opposite the pavilion are the 4-region pavilions, each side of which has a monk or symbol representing each region.
The highlight here is the church. Phra Athikarn Nuthong Hasajitto, the abbot of Wat Khao Chang, had the idea of building a church that was unlike any other temple, so he hired a carver from Chiang Mai to carve the story of the life of the Buddha, the 12 zodiac signs, and according to literature. Vessantara Jataka and the way of life of the villagers in ancient times. The principal Buddha image is made of white marble, contrasting with the brown color of the church. Outside, there is a sema stone painted in the same tone as the church. Let's just say that anyone who comes here must not miss taking a photo as a souvenir.
🌳 Another part is a large Takhian tree. Of course, it is also beautifully carved. Judging from the offerings, there should be many lucky people.
🍁 Let's just say that if you have the chance to visit Pong Nam Ron, don't forget to stop by to worship the Buddha and admire the beauty of Wat Khao Chuang.
