#TokyoHotel The Strings by InterContinental Tokyo is one of the four InterContinental hotels in Tokyo. It is called Shinagawa Shiying Intercontinental in Chinese. From the JR Minami Exit, you can take the overpass all the way to the intercontinental entrance, passing the Atre Mall in the middle. It's very close to JR station, and it's very convenient to take the Yamanote Line. Staying in a king size double room on a high floor, the day and night view of the city outside the window is very good. The bed is big and comfortable, and you can see the small Tokyo Tower and Odaiba Bridge. The bathroom and toilet are well separated. But it was opened in 2003 and renovated in 2019. It’s really a bit of a history. The TV system is old and it’s not an online TV. It’s a pity. The service is so good that it makes up for the lack of hardware. Especially the guest service. The view is great, especially on the higher floors. It feels very metropolitan and feels like Tokyo.

Take my IHG Diamond Ambassador for a spin here ❤️ Make no mistake - this property is expensive but totally worth it cash outlay was mitigated by my Ambassador free night yay 🍀 Conveniently located at Shinagawa Station, the property’s lobby was rather impressive with its soaring ceiling and professional staff 🫠 As a Diamond I was upgraded from a base room to one with a City View and it was modern + spotless which is always a good combo! Housekeeping were diligent and turn down included a chocolate as well as seated forecast for the next day which I thought was quite useful 🇯🇵 Breakfast was a fantastic high quality spread with each pax getting an individual coffee pot so caffeine addicts rejoice! There was also a pass-around service offering croissants and smoothies which was a nice touch. 👍 The only thing was the fitness centre which looked like a room or two converted into a makeshift space - felt abit weird for a 5-star property but ah wells 🏋️ Would recommend without hesitation but the price can be eye watering esp during peak seasons so watch out! 💸

The surface is then topped with thick Wagyu beef sauce, which has a salty and fragrant taste. The pasta has just the right texture and hardness, and the portion is generous. Green Tea 🍵 Chestnut Cake 🍰 ($990 yen) Like a work of art, it has a sweet and fragrant green tea flavor, with chestnut cream and whole chestnuts inside, creating a rich layer of texture. : 🏨The Strings by InterContinental Tokyo 📍Minato, Tokyo, a few minutes' walk from Shinagawa Station For this trip to Tokyo, we chose to stay at the InterContinental Strings in Shinagawa. 🗼The hotel is in a great location, right outside Shinagawa Station🚉, with convenient transportation, and large shopping malls and supermarkets nearby. Convenience stores and restaurants are everywhere, so you don't have to worry about finding something to eat if you get hungry🍱. The hotel is luxuriously and modernly decorated, and you can feel the high-end atmosphere as soon as you walk into the lobby. The front desk staff were very friendly and the check-in process was quick😀. We booked a Club Twin Room, and the high-floor room gave us a great view of Tokyo at night, which was especially beautiful. The hotel also gave us IHG points as compensation when we checked in, which was a nice surprise🌟. The room was well-equipped, the bed was large and comfortable, and all the equipment was modern. Almost all rooms offer a view of Tokyo🏙. The bathroom has a separate shower and bathtub, which makes for a really comfortable stay. However, one thing to note is that rooms near the tracks can be a bit noisy with trains passing by, but it's quiet at night so you can get a good rest🛌. The hotel lobby bar is great👍, and the gym is well-equipped, so you can work out while enjoying the city view🏋️‍♀️. This is a big plus for me, as not all hotels have such a well-equipped gym. The daily cleaning service is very good, and the room is always kept clean and tidy🧹. The luxurious and spacious bathroom and bed make it hard to leave. There are many recommended restaurants nearby🍽, such as Teppanyaki Sumiyaki Saito and Ise Sueyoshi, where you can enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine🍣. If you like to explore food like I do, this is a foodie's paradise. Overall, I was very satisfied with the location and facilities here. It's a great choice for both business and leisure travel.
