[2024 Hong Kong Stay] Travel Guide for The Peninsula Hong Kong (Updated Dec)
New Ice Cream Sundaes at Tsim Sha Tsui - The Peninsula Boutique & Café
The Peninsula Boutique & Café is divided into two sections. The café features an elegant jade green decor 💚, while the boutique offers a variety of cookie gift boxes, teas, and more. There's even an adorable giant teddy bear for photo ops 🧸💕.
The café has recently launched new ice cream sundaes, including:
💛 Tropical Temptation - Mango, Coconut, Walnut Crunch (Single/Double)
🤎 Chocolate Fantasy - Caramel Chocolate, Brownie, Banana (Single/Double)
💚 Strawberry Matcha Blossom - Strawberry, Matcha, Matcha Crunch (Single)
❤️ Berry Delight - Strawberry, Blueberry, Red Berry (Double)
💰 HKD138/ Single, HKD228/ Double
Each flavor is incredibly tempting. We opted for the double serving of 'Berry Delight - Strawberry, Blueberry, Red Berry.' It looked stunning 🩷. The vanilla and berry ice cream was smooth and creamy, melting in your mouth 🤤. It was filled with fresh strawberries and blueberries, along with dried red berries, topped with a crispy butterfly pastry. The overall texture was rich and varied! 😍 The sweet and tart berry flavors blended perfectly with the smooth ice cream, making it refreshing and not overly sweet—perfect for summer ☀️😋.

British afternoon tea at The Peninsula Hong Kong🇭🇰
Since the Peninsula Hotel’s lobby teahouse opened in 1928, traditional afternoon tea has always been the hotel’s signature experience. Coupled with live music from the lobby string band, it feels like you are immersed in the elegant “Lady of the Far East” atmosphere of the last century.
🍴 Afternoon Tea Set($528/1 ; $918/2)
There are salty desserts respectively. Savory snacks include French bacon slices with smoked pork belly, garlic, and Kandy cheese, paired with a selection of finger sandwiches, such as French ham, salmon, shrimp, etc., without losing the taste.
The desserts are very exquisite, including black chocolate mousse, red raspberry puffs, ginger orange tart, and classic English baked waffles with fresh cream and strawberry jam. The overall taste is normal, but the food quality is not outstanding.
As for tea, there are many English-style teas to choose from. I chose floral tea, which includes passion fruit, hibiscus flowers, and marigold petals.
Whether celebrating a special occasion, savoring this Hong Kong classic in an elegant and charming setting is truly a luxurious experience.

It's not that I can't afford to go to the UK, but that spending Christmas in Hong Kong is more cost-effective
After a few years, I came back to Hong Kong, just in time for Christmas in Hong Kong.🎄
I have to say, the Christmas atmosphere in Hong Kong is really strong!!
Compared to spending Christmas in Europe, Christmas in Hong Kong is the best!
Especially on the edge of Victoria Harbour, there are tall Christmas trees of different styles
And romantic and colorful fireworks on the water🎆!
.
This time I came to Hong Kong specifically to visit a few popular Christmas spots in Hong Kong
Follow me to check in without getting lost!!
.
1️⃣K11 musea
The golden Christmas tree of Victoria Harbour, which has been dominating the screen recently, is here
Admire the unbeatable sea view of Victoria Harbour while watching this Dior golden Christmas tree shine
All the romance of Hong Kong can be captured here!
Recommended location: K11's 3rd floor【GREYHOUND cafe】store, where you can have a drink or meal
2️⃣West Kowloon Cultural District
The "Victoria Harbour Winter Fireworks" that started in December are here, don't go to the wrong place!
It is recommended to go in the evening, you can see the Christmas tree of Victoria Harbour at sunset, and wait for the fireworks show that starts at 8 o'clock!
There are fireworks on the water at 8 o'clock in the evening on December 9, 10, 16, 17, 23-26, lasting 10 minutes
3️⃣The Peninsula Hotel
No girl can escape Chanel's aesthetics!
This time the entire exterior wall of the Peninsula Hotel is hung with Chanel's giant chains and decorations
Very trendy and high-end! It looks good both day and night!
There is also a Christmas tree in the hotel that is worth checking in!
4️⃣Central Tai Kwun
A sunny square surrounded by tall buildings, the Christmas tree is very large and full of decorations
It is recommended to take pictures at the arch on the second floor, which is very artistic
5️⃣Garden Road Christmas Tree
Unlike the colorful Christmas trees in other places, the Christmas tree on Garden Road is white and glowing
It is recommended to go after the lights are on at night, it is really a super dreamy white glowing Christmas tree!
6️⃣Central Wellington Street
What's special is that there are stalls and shops selling Christmas decorations all along the slope
Walking on the street, it really feels like a Christmas town!

🇭🇰An exquisite Peninsula Afternoon Tea🇭🇰
Undeniably the Peninsula is renowned for its luxurious and elegant atmosphere, and the afternoon tea service reflects this. The tea is served in a beautifully appointed dining room featuring sophisticated decor and a refined ambiance. The attention to detail in the surroundings adds to the overall sense of indulgence and relaxation.
They take pride in offering an extensive selection of teas to suit various tastes. From classic black teas to fragrant herbal infusions and unique blends, there is something for everyone. The teas are typically served in elegant teapots, allowing you to steep them to your preference and savor their flavors.
🌟The highlight of the Peninsula afternoon tea is undoubtedly the selection of delectable treats. This includes a variety of freshly baked scones, delicate finger sandwiches with gourmet fillings, and an array of exquisite pastries, cakes, and petits fours. The treats are expertly crafted, often featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, and are visually stunning.
Also the presentation of the afternoon tea service at the Peninsula is impeccable. The treats are beautifully arranged on tiered stands showcasing their colors and textures. The attention to detail extends to the table settings, with fine china, silverware, and delicate linens adding to the overall aesthetic appeal.
The Peninsula adds special touches to enhance the afternoon tea experience. This included live music, floral arrangements, or themed decorations, depending on the occasion or season. These added elements create a memorable and immersive atmosphere, elevating the overall experience.
We definitely had an enchanted dining experience here, The staff at the Peninsula are known for their exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with attentiveness and professionalism. The tea service is also accompanied by knowledgeable waitstaff who can guide you through the menu, answer any questions you may have, and ensure your every need is met.

𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭 🍓 It consists of Hokkaido milk soft serve, fresh strawberries and macaron over classic strawberry sponge, simply irresistible 💯😋 The parfait is large enough to serve 3-4 people.😆 It is a refreshing dessert, perfect for a summer treat. The soft serve adds a creamy texture, while the fresh strawberries and sponge cake provide a sweet and fruity flavour. The macaron adds a nice crunch and a touch of elegance to the dish.🍓

The Chocolate Praline Mousse is the most impressive dessert.😍 It is both indulgent and satisfying. The chocolate flavour is intense and decadent, with a deep and complex taste. The praline adds a nutty and caramelized flavor that complements the chocolate perfectly, creating a harmonious and delicious taste. 🍫
🔹𝚂𝚊𝚟𝚘𝚛𝚢 𝚃𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚜 Mushroom Puff Green Olive Cake Salmon Cucumber Sandwich We think the mushroom puff is the most delicious item. The filling is a flavorful mixture of sautéed mushrooms, herbs, and spices, creating a rich and earthy taste which is both savory and slightly sweet.

Baroque style Hotel in Hongkong🤘🏿
When I was strolling around Tsim Tsa Tsui area in the evening my eyes just caught this beautiful colonial style hotel. And it turns out that this is the famous-luxury Peninsula Hotel😻😻
The Peninsula is designed in the Baroque style in 1928 and still remained beautiful until now. No doubt that this hotel is frequently featured in the TV series, superhero film (The Dark Knight) and many more. I really felt so happy that I could see this beautiful masterpiece of architecture 🥰😍

The Peninsula Afternoon The Peninsula Afternoon
Afternoon Tea at The Lobby of Peninsula Hotel, priced at HK$488 for one person and HK$868 for two people.
Peninsula selects famous teas, in addition to traditional teas such as Earl Gray tea, there are also flavored teas. I prefer the exotic spices with cloud gelatin, caramel, cloves, cinnamon, and orange blossom petals. The flavor is rich and has a sweet cloud jelly flavor.
Pre-dinner snacks include crispy coronation chicken and green apple puffs.
The bottom shelf of the three-tier shelf is an English raisin muffin. The middle layer includes cucumber sandwich, smoked beef and milk bread, green asparagus and cheddar cheese French salty baguette, and tuna negro Italian herb bag. There are 4 types of British miscellaneous cakes on the top floor.

Dinner at The Peninsula Lobby
When you are with kids, when it comes to fine dining you’d choose somewhere more kids-friendly (also less stressful for the adults, sometimes too pricey places may make you feel the waiters are breathing down your neck). Peninsula Lobby is definitely a welcoming place for families with kids (as long as kids don’t scream lol).
The grownups ordered from the set menu, which is quite a good deal as it comes with superb fresh bread basket, a choice of delicately arranged appetizers, a satisfying main of meat or fish (a range of Western or Asian options. steak or seafood platter will cost more), a delightful dessert and a nice range of fine teas or coffee to choose from.
The little one was also pleased as she was presented with a nicely printed coloring book with Peninsula’s signature bear - then surprisingly found out it was also a kids menu, from which she chose a delicious macaroni with cheese.
With a not so expensive surcharge the grownups get to enjoy a glass of bubbly while listening to the live band playing from the balcony above - also another Peninsula lobby’s signature.
it was such a delightful evening!

Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade
We passed by the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade after taking ferry from the Hong Kong Island and surprisingly discovered the bears!
There are notice boards along the way for the bears event. Exhibition and presentation would be held for these arts. The bears displayed along the promenade are of different characteristics, appearance, outlook and style etc. The notice board they are holding are TV screens. If you are lucky, you can watch short films and advertisements on the screens holding by the lovely charming bears.
Do have a walk after lunch or dinner to enjoy the fresh air and visit these adorable bears along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade before going home!

An Anniversary Worth Remembering
Address - 22 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui
Ambiance/Facilities - amazing view, selected pool time that allowed privacy.
Highlights - upgraded room with an amazing sea view. very welcoming fruit and dessert platter. The wonder was a great range of in-room breakfast and late check-out at 3pm even with a 2-night stay.
Breakfast was amazing and can be selected from the night before on their digital tablet for in-room service for certain room types. We visited for both my birthday and our anniversary; staff were very kind and helpful. Dessert, champagne and flowers were arranged with kind words in a handwritten card ready prepared in our room upon arrival.
The bath tub in the suite with a sea view was great, I loved the thoughtfulness of how we could leave our room from the walk-in closet area after we’ve gotten change and another into the living room and guest toilet.

Afternoon Tea at The Peninsula Hong Kong
A couple of weeks ago, we had Afternoon Tea at The Peninsula in order to celebrate a wedding anniversary and an 18th Birthday.
It began with a starter of a Salmon Cone (can’t remember the actual name— but it was lovely!) and a choice of teas. We had Caramel Spiced Tea.
My platter was a vegetarian one. It included a cucumber sandwich, pumpkin & quinoa, a rice noodle roll and a beetroot-puree tart for the savoury selection.
The dessert selection included a fig cake-tart (a cake on top and a tart on the bottom), red berries cake, chocolate cake and passion fruit and mango cake.
The set also included two large scones with clotted cream, strawberry jam and marmalade.
This was my first experience with luxury dining! I would encourage you to come to The Peninsula to try out the Afternoon Tea. If not, you should at least visit The Peninsula— a historical Five-Star Hotel that has been around since 1928.

Peninsula HK: Stunning Views and Modern Design
The Room: Absolutely picturesque and unobstructed views in the room. It was very intelligently designed with extremely modern touches and electronic controls throughout the room. The furniture was incredibly tasteful although the toilet design seemed to be slightly dated. It was spacious and the bathroom sea view was also divine. #peninsula #hong Kong #staycation
The Food: Breakfast was good and the eggs Benedict was particularly tasty. However, it was certainly the service and attention to detail that stood out. There isn't much of a view in the breakfast restaurant but the ambiance is great. Gaddi's was surprisingly mediocre. The service and ambiance was great and the food was perfectly executed. However, the lunch menu was not particularly exciting. The service Spring Moon was very noteworthy and a notch above all the other restaurants. The food was great although, again, nothing too exciting but very well executed. The chicken, however, was slightly bland.

Wonderful birthday in Peninsula Hotel
I don’t really have any expectation on the birthday cake that prepared by the hotel as I haven’t tried a tasty birthday cake even I had been to 5* hotel before. I can say this cake (the first pic) is the most tasty birthday cake I have ever tried. Really make my partner feel more surprised and satisfied with the trip. #蛋糕

the Peninsula Hongkong
The Peninsula, Hong Kong is called the “Grand Dame of the Far East” for a reason. Built in 1920, it’s another iconic property with a wide range of unique guest experiences to choose from via the Peninsula Academy.
This is easily one of the best places to stay to stay in Hong Kong with a family because all ages are well taken care of. The kids’ programming is excellent as it ranges from pastry classes to picnics in green spaces (yes, Hong Kong does have them).

Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula Hotel Lobby ||| It’s a rare trip to Hong Kong, so I specially booked the prestigious Peninsula Hotel Lobby Teahouse to experience a classic afternoon tea feast.
Since its opening in 1928, the Peninsula Hotel has become a symbol of luxury and nobility, and has gracefully appeared in many movies.
The afternoon tea set includes exquisite finger sandwiches, British pastries and waffles carefully made by the pastry chef, and is paired with a selection of famous teas, making it an unforgettable experience. Hong Kong during Chinese New Year
A city that you can repeatedly visit without getting tired of it. Good vibes, good food and good weather! Surprisingly, most of the shops and restaurants are open during Chinese New Year period. So, you know where to go next for the upcoming Chinese Nee Year! However, the downside is you have to squeeze with the mainlanders in Tram and MTR. It is a long holiday in China thus they are holidaying in HK.

The oldest hotel in Asia is the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong.
This time I wanted to stay at The Peninsula Hong Kong. As one of the oldest hotels, it is nearly 100 years old. The magnificent lobby presents a Baroque revival style. The hotel has a lot of classical elements both inside and outside the building, which is quite gorgeous. Known as the "Lady of the Far East", The Peninsula is not only a hotel, but also has extremely precious historical and architectural value. This time I stayed in the Superior Atrium Suite (Main Wing) and Superior Ocean View Suite (New Wing). Let me share my stay experience.
Service: The entire hotel is relatively weak. The hotel staff are generally serious, with almost no smiles, and rarely take the initiative to greet guests. As a guest who booked a suite, they did not check in and send guests to the room, and did not show their standards. , I was quite disappointed. I reported feedback to the management later and they will deal with the problem seriously. I hope there will be different changes when I stay again in the future.
As for the turndown service, the overall details are in place and meet Peninsula standards. The welcome ceremony is also very thoughtful and rich.
Hardware facilities: The lobby of the hotel is very refined and elegant. The Baroque-style ceiling makes people look at it again and again. You will feel relaxed as soon as you enter the door. Another very beautiful area is the swimming pool, which not only has a very European style decoration, There is also a terrace, which is best visited in the afternoon. Back to the room, the whole room is mainly made of black piano paint wood, and the maintenance quality is extremely good. Even if it is a hotel that has been open for many years, there is no old hardware facilities at all. The room is equipped with the most advanced system, and all the facilities in the room are Lights, air conditioners, curtains, etc. can all be controlled with pads, and the response speed is fast. The entire room uses a color screen touch panel, which is extremely advanced and practical.
In addition, there is a big difference between the main wing and the new wing. The main wing is the shorter floors of the building. It is the most primitive part of the peninsula. It has high ceilings, but the windows are relatively high from the ground. The overall room layout is It's a bit strange, but the design of the main wing will have a more retro feel, while the rooms in the new wing are on high floors and have one of the best sea views. The rooms are relatively spacious, but the room layout will be relatively more standardized.
Location: Located in the center of Tsim Sha Tsui, the best.
Catering standard: Breakfast is definitely one of the best hotels I have ever had. There are not many categories, but the quality is extremely high. The other restaurants in the hotel, Jialin Tower, buffet dinner, etc., all show a very high standard. It's worth going to eat, even if you don't stay in the hotel.
Overall, for guests who come to Hong Kong for the first time and want to stay in a luxury hotel, Peninsula is undoubtedly one of the best choices. The history and culture it presents are something that other hotels cannot provide. Even if you pay for the sentiment, it is worth it.
