Visited the zoo a while back and i was so happy i did. I got to see lots of animals known to Australia including the Kangaroos, wombat, variety of birds and butterfly species, etc. 🚍 Getting There: The Melbourne Zoo is about 4 km from the city center. You can easily catch a tram, take a short train ride, or a bus to the nearby Station. There are parking spaces available, so you could also choose to drive there. 🎟️ Entrance Fee: Tickets vary based on ages (adults, children, aged) and/or whether you’re a student or not. 🦘 Activities: The zoo offers a wide range of activities, including animal watching and interactions. If you’re lucky, you could see the Kangaroos and Koalas up close. 🌯 Food: There are several eateries within the zoo, where you could get delicious sandwiches and coffee, ice cream, etc. Picnic areas are also available if you prefer to bring your own food. 🛍️ Souvenirs: There is a gift shop at the Zoo with souvenirs such as plush animals, books, etc. 🚍 Returning to Town: Just go back home the same way you came lol. Today, start from La Trobe Street, take Route 35 (every 12 minutes, clockwise, ends at 5pm, with maps on board, old-fashioned decor). Pass Flagstaff Gardens, Old Melbourne Gaol, Carlton Gardens (very beautiful, the building behind is the Exhibition Hall, and behind that is the Melbourne Museum), continue on Route 35 for 2 stops to Parliament Station, where there are free 45-minute guided tours on weekdays, limited to 25 people, you need to queue at the entrance in advance. Having just missed the 12pm tour, I continued on Route 35 for 2 stops to Flinders Street and got off at Federation Square (the tram passes Old Treasury Building and Treasury Gardens). Federation Square is right next to ACMI, which has exhibitions on light and shadow and the origins of film, worth a visit. Diagonally opposite is St Paul's Cathedral, and diagonally opposite that is Flinders Street Station. Due to time constraints, I took a quick tour of the cathedral and then headed back. I walked back to Parliament at 1:30pm, but still missed the 2pm tour, so I had to queue for the 3pm tour. Many people were taking wedding photos here. Security checks, passport registration, and bag storage start at 2:30pm. The front hall, the Parliament Chamber (one side represents the government, the other side the opposition), the rooftop Parliament Garden, the library (1861), the legal chamber, this nearly 1-hour tour is well worth it. Then take Route 109 to LUNE on Collins Street, card payment only, ordered an almond croissant, AUD 11.8, with almond syrup inside, quite delicious. Then walk to the NGV Australia next to Federation Square, the 2nd floor is Australian art, the 3rd floor is an exhibition of famous painters. A 5-minute walk takes you to Hoisier Lane graffiti street. Take Route 19 to Queen Victoria Market Station, this is the nearest free tram stop to the University of Melbourne, get off and continue walking 1 km, in about 10 minutes you will reach the University of Melbourne. Return to Flinders Street, have a steak, and wait for sunset. On Friday nights, there are concerts at Federation Square, very lively, from Princes Bridge you can see the Yarra River, on one side you can see the Australian Open venue, on the other side you can see Queen's Bridge, view Southbank, the night view is nice.

## Explore the natural wonders of Melbourne Zoo One weekend in April 2024, I was fortunate enough to visit the Melbourne Zoo. This historic zoo, founded in 1862, is located in the heart of Melbourne and is one of the city's most famous attractions. Stepping into the gate of the zoo, I was immediately attracted by the sight in front of me. On the vast grassland, kangaroos jumped and played leisurely, occasionally stopping to eat some tender grass. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were so close to tourists, which gave me the opportunity to observe these Australian national treasures up close. Next, I visited the penguin area. I saw a group of cute little penguins basking in the sun on the rocks, occasionally diving into the water to play. They seem to be completely undisturbed by tourists, allowing us to admire their cute appearance. The zoo also has habitats for unique Australian animals such as wombats and koalas. I marveled at their leisurely and carefree living conditions. They seemed to be completely adapted to the environment here. I'm also happy to see the zoo's efforts in protecting these endangered species. Overall, I gained a lot from this trip to the zoo. Not only did I witness the natural ecology of many rare animals, but I also felt the zoo’s efforts in protecting them. I believe that as long as humans treat nature with more respect and kindness, we will be able to coexist harmoniously with these lovely creatures.

My friends and I visited Melbourne zoo to see all these cute animals in Melbourne. Such a big place for family and friends gathering and a lot of animals to see! #melbournetrip Melbourne Zoo is the best Zoo experience I have had. The Zoo and its animal enclosures are beautifully curated by the loveliest keepers. we had the pleasure of talking to a keeper in the reptile exhibit who was in the process of setting up the planting for new animals. He was extremely lovely and you could tell how passionate he was about his work by how beautiful and lush each of the exhibits looked. The Zoo itself is has something for all ages, with ample about of green trees that provide shade as you travel through, vibrant cafes, water refill stations and a splash pad for the kiddies to cool down. We will definitely be back and recommending Melbourne Zoo to all our friends and family.
