The restaurant is small and stylish. There are two floors, but there aren't many seats and it's a popular restaurant, so please come only if you have time. To get to the second floor, you have to climb a steep and narrow staircase, so please watch your step.
The lunch menu comes with a main dish and four small side dishes, and you can have as many refills of bonito flakes and rice as you like!
The photos show the "Niku-sui Lunch (Weekends and Holidays Only)" and the "Niku-maki Lunch (Osaka Specialty)." When you hear "Niku-maki," you probably think of vegetables or tofu wrapped in meat, but in Osaka, it refers to rolled omelet with meat seasoned with sweet and spicy sauce. The "Niku-sui" lunch, which is only available on weekends and holidays, is also an Osaka specialty. If you don't know what it is, you might think it's a monster related to vampires. The name sounds like it, but it's more like a soup with beef in it or meat udon without the udon. The Niku-sui here had a large piece of tofu in it.
Both the meat rolls and the meat soup were delicious with the flavor of the dashi.
The main attraction is the all-you-can-eat freshly shaved bonito flakes. You can put them on rice and eat them with a little soy sauce, pour them generously over your main dish, or just eat them as is. Try them out and enjoy!
