Inside of this Shrine, there is a gallery with a huge wall of medals that has at least more than 2000 medals being showcase where each represents a particular victorian who fought during the war. The admission into this Shrine is free and no booking is required for both locals and foreigners, for parking, you can park around the Shrine which is a short 3-5mins walking distance to the Shrine. Also, do remember when entering the Shrine, walk up the long flight of stairs to the top of the Shrine to have a view of unblock scenery of Melbourne city. #celebratewithtrip went to the shrine of remembrance during one of the days I spent in Melbourne and it was nice to learn so much about the Australian history as well as the wars. it was indeed very educational and rewarding in terms of knowledge gained. so this is actually free of charge for entry and if you enter the shrine of remembrance and go all the way up to the top floor you cna actually get a nice Birds Eye view of the buildings around . it is actually a perfect spot for some photo taking and also a bit of people watching. would recommend coming. it might also be crowded during weekdays as I noticed school kids here for excursion.
