Xinqiao is a bustling business district, a happy street for the general public, and a gay city. The first post-war gay bar "Liu" (やなぎ) (1945) opened on the approach to Usen Shrine. San Yoshino Toshio, the mother of the well-known gay bar "Yoshino", used to work here, and famous people such as Edogawa Ranpo, Alain Deren, Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Carden have visited here. Currently, there are 66 gay bars (3-chome 29, 4-chome 28, etc.) centered on the 3 and 4-chome areas at the Usen Exit of Shimbashi Station, and the total number of gay-related stores is 74. However, in the yellow pages of the Japanese gay magazine "Badi" in 1998, there were only 15 gay bars in the Shimbashi area, the third largest gay city after Shinjuku 2-chome and Ueno-Asakusa.

🇯🇵 Local Japanese snack
The street food in Japan but it is a proper eatery place only for take-away. This is a chain store all over Japan and you can buy them easily in many places. It is always best to buy and eat it hot. The taiyaki standard fillings are red-bean, custard and sweet potato. During special season, you can find chestnut and pumpkin too. Now they have upgraded their menu to include rice cracker ice cream, whereby a scoop of ice cream is sandwich between 2 pieces of Japanese crackers. It is similar to how we eat our ice cream sandwich with a slice of bread or biscuit wafer from the ice cream uncle in Singapore. This outlet is right next to Shinbashi station exit 8.

Night Out Tokyo
We come this station for dinner with friend, Shimbashi means “New Bridge,” and Shimbashi Station serves just such a purpose in Tokyo’s Minato special ward. Previously known as Karasumori Station, Shimbashi Station’s current location first opened its doors in 1909. Its predecessor, the original Shimbashi Station which opened in 1872, is located a few kilometers away. It is one of the oldest train stations in Japan and serves as a museum. Today, Shimbashi Station serves more than 250,000 passengers each day.
If you’ll be traveling through Tokyo’s Shimbashi Station, you can use this handy travel guide to plan your trip.

🇯🇵| Omakase 鮨 鴉巣 in Tokyo
On our last day in Tokyo, we made a reservation at a super niche Omakase restaurant called "鮨 鴉巣". This restaurant is hidden in a small alley in the middle of Tokyo's bustling city, with a Yakitori restaurant called "Isshisantencho" on the first floor and Omakase on the third floor.
The space on the third floor is quite small, with only eight seats for dining, and the environment is very quiet, with great privacy.
The ingredients used in the Omakase are all of high quality, such as sea urchin, salmon roe, tachinomi (Japanese lantern), and truffle, and each dish is carefully prepared by the head chef. Diners can also watch the chef cook and learn about the origin and preparation method of each ingredient.

Quick, Delicious Udon at Oniyanma
#celebrateit
If you're craving authentic, chewy udon with crispy, freshly fried tempura, Oniyanma is the place to go! This super popular standing udon shop serves up some of the best bowls in Tokyo. Ordering is quick and easy with three ticket machines outside, and they even accept electronic payments—super convenient! I visited around 3 PM, so there was no wait, but if you go during lunch hours, expect a line.
I got the chikuwa & tori-ten udon, and it was absolutely perfect. The udon had the perfect chewiness, and the crispy tori-ten (chicken tempura) was a must-try—light, crunchy, and so flavorful!
Here’s why you should check out Oniyanma:
Top-quality udon & tempura: Freshly made noodles and perfectly fried toppings make for an unforgettable meal.
Quick, convenient, and affordable: A great spot for a fast, delicious meal without breaking the bank.
If you're in Shinbashi, don't miss this udon gem!

【Shimbashi 】Yakiniku and horumon restaurant in Shinbashi
"Hormone Mammoth" is recommended for experiencing Yakiniku in Shimbashi, a town of salarymen.
The offal is fresh, purchased from the market every day, and the specialty "Mammoth Tan" is large and delicious.

Only Shinbashi in Tokyo can satisfy your taste buds!
🧳Shinbashi, located in the Tokyo waterfront area of Shiodome, is partly in Minato Ward and Chuo Ward of Tokyo. It is a bustling business district, commonly known as the street of joy for the general public.
🌟Adjacent to Shiodome on the east, Chiyoda Ward's Uchisaiwaicho on the north, and Ginza in Chuo Ward, Shinbashi is a bustling business district connected to Marunouchi and Shinagawa. It is famous for its streets lined with office buildings and is known as the street of white-collar workers. It is a gathering place for world-class enterprises. Therefore, after work each day, it becomes a sea of food and drink, where employees in suits, both men and women, gather in the numerous izakayas of Shinbashi to drink.
🏨Shinbashi boasts top-notch businesses but also has down-to-earth eateries. Starting from the food street, any delicacy you wish to try is available here, from high-end to common, ensuring you won't miss out on any dinner. After a few rounds of drinks, you can head to the 47th floor of 'Caretta Shiodome' to admire one of the best views of Tokyo Bay in Tokyo, sobering up from the buzz.
👍For tourists fortunate enough to visit, why not find a restaurant with the flavor you crave after nightfall, sit down, order a cold beer, and kick off a delicious dinner. After the meal, enjoy the most peaceful and comfortable time of the day with a cup of coffee and a portion of fries at the McDonald's on the corner of the station street.

Snacks only available at Shimbashi Station
It was only one stop away from the hotel where I was staying. On the day I was going back, I waited for the store to open in the morning and came here to buy souvenirs (actually I love food😆).
When I came to Tokyo this time, I didn’t include the Shimbashi stop in my itinerary. I just wanted to buy this snack, so I don’t know where to eat or shop nearby? I only found a nigiri sushi restaurant in the station that was said to be quite famous, and had lunch right away.
I saw the cream puffs that are also available in Taiwan, and I thought that since I have been here all my life, I always have to try them to see if the local taste is different🤣

Tokyo|Popular Tonkotsu Tsukemen in Shimbashi
"Menya Shugo" located in Shinbashi, Tokyo is a popular tsukemen shop that specializes in rich pork bone and seafood tsukemen. The owner, Mr. Shugo, is very dedicated and only wants to do well and improve his field. In addition to tsukemen, he has not developed any other menus. The only things you can choose are the ingredients and the amount of noodles. The shop only has 5 counter seats. Fortunately, I arrived 30 minutes before the store opened that day and was the 5th in line to be seated in the first round. The shop also thoughtfully prepared paper aprons for everyone to enjoy the tsukemen.
I chose a medium portion of noodles (200g), which was just right for me. The noodles at Menya Shugo are medium-thick noodles made from 100% wheat produced in Fukuoka Prefecture. Just chewing them gently, you can feel the rich wheat aroma and the texture is also very smooth.
The special tsukemen we ordered this time includes three types of char siu. The leaner slow-cooked pork char siu is soft and has a slight wine aroma, the half-fat char siu almost melts in your mouth, and the slow-cooked chicken breast is not dry at all. The three types of char siu each have their own merits, and the dipping sauces are all delicious.
The main dipping sauce is the traditional pork bone fish sauce, which has a very thick texture and a rich and mellow taste. It is very satisfying when paired with slippery noodles and various types of barbecued pork. Mr. Zhou Xiang also added appropriate amounts of purple onions and grapefruit peel to the dipping sauce to balance the extremely thick dipping sauce, making it thick but not greasy.
The final "Super Cut" part is the icing on the cake. The soup base used is a fragrant and elegant fish and shellfish broth, topped with a little chopped barbecued pork, basil leaves and chewy rice. Mix them all together and drink it all in one gulp, it's so satisfying.
💸Specially made tsuke noodles 1500 yen

Specialties - Tuna, seafood specialty store izakaya
The middle part of the tuna is very fresh and sweet. Most of the dishes use the most delicious part of the tuna. Although you have to cut it out and eat it yourself, it is very interesting. There are also garlic baked shirako, sea urchin toro rolls, etc., which are definitely worth a try!

Like Hong
Like Hong Kong, because the land price is extremely expensive, many shops have to give up the first floor of the building, and the next choice is to open the building upstairs, but this does not hinder the quality and popularity of these stores, but there are some Local talents favor the good shops. For example, this Japanese charcoal-fired meat chain "Niujiao" located at 2-9-13 in Shinbashi, although on the ugly 9th floor, is scheduled to be reserved in advance. The phone number is 03-5512-3729.
ordering is divided into two points: single point and 90 minutes. However, you need to make an appointment in advance, and the cheapest one is around 5,000 yen. This feature is not only a snowflake cow, but also a small partner who loves to eat internal organs. Try to see the heart of the cow, the small intestine, the aorta, the net mouth and other fine bovine internal organs, with a unique sauce, hmmm, quite enjoyable.
