[2025 Singapore Attraction] Travel Guide for Sentosa Island (Updated Sep)

I visited Singapore as a family trip nowadays so l show you how exited it was! ① The Ritz-Carlton,Millennia Singapore ・We stayed this hotel and the services were really great! Also, any equipment was so nice so we could stay there comfortably! ②60th anniversary • We visited there from 8/8 to 8/11 in 2025 and 8/9 was Singapore national day! This time was 60th anniversary so l saw the logo of "SG60" everywhere! ③Night views • We did night cruise and the view was really wonderful! ④Sentosa island • We went to Sentosa island and did zip line and tried Sky dinning ride! Both of that were really excited and I could enjoy nature in Sentosa Island 🏝️ ⑤Universal Studios Singapore (USS) • Universal Studios Singapore are also located in Sentosa Island. I'm from Japan so I know how crowded the Tokyo Disney land and see are, so compared to that, I felt less people so you can enjoy without feeling uncomfortable! Also, this USS are really small so you can try a lot of attractions in half day! But as for services, I felt Tokyo Disney land and see are more better. ⑥Katong • I wanted to see the view in Katong so we went there by taxi. There were really colorful and beautiful! But I heard that there are the people who are living now so l was feeling sorry for visiting there... ⑦Little India • I went to the town called "Little India ". In Singapore, a lot of people who have different backgrounds are living, so I wonder how is it. I bought gorgeous bracelets for myself and I really liked it! I have never visited India, but I felt India in this town, you can see many people wearing traditional Indian clothes! ⑧ What I ate in Singapore! ・I ate a lot of things in Singapore. I visited paper chicken restaurants and this restaurant was famous among Japanese tourists! Food in hotel was also nice ! I didn’t try any local food actually… but I ate local noodle like ramen in food court and it was delicious. I missed ramen so I ate “ Sapporo ramen” in Singapore 😂 I wanted to eat Merlion ice cream and I tried “Korean strawberry “ flavor and it was delicious! Thank you for reading!! My first trip to Singapore with an unprepared budget but a willing heart ⸻ Going back almost ten years ago… I was staring at AirAsia’s promotional ticket for Bangkok–Singapore, round trip for 1,800 baht. The hand that pressed the booking button didn’t have a lot of money, but my heart wanted to “Go out and see the world once.” And that was my first international trip. The time I was the poorest…but I got the most in my life. ⸻ 💡 4 days 3 nights travel plan (for people who have no money but have heart) ⸻ 💤 Day 1 — Arrive at midnight, the airport is cold, but keep going • ✈️ Landed at Changi at midnight • No place to stay, so sat in front of McDonald’s all night, tried to sleep, but it was too cold to sleep • Traveled into the city in the morning by MRT • Passed Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands, but they were not open yet • Waited until 10am, then walked to find a very cheap street food shop • 🏨 Stayed at: 5footway.inn Project Chinatown 2 • Leave the bag first because you can’t check in yet • Good location, very close to MRT and Chinatown • 🛕 Continue to Buddha Tooth Relic Temple • Pray for a smooth journey And make life ahead better • 🦁 Walk to Merlion Park • Stand and look at the water-spouting lions, thinking to yourself, "Even though we don't have much... we've arrived." • 🌙 In the evening, come back to eat a single-dish meal at Chinatown and then take a nap to regain your strength. ⸻ 🏛 Day 2 — All-day museum and special meal with relatives • 🎟 Visit the National Museum of Singapore • If you like history and beautiful exhibitions, don't miss it. • Inside, there are both multimedia zones and interesting antiques. • Very suitable for those who are on a budget because the entrance fee is not expensive but you get a lot. • 🍲 Lunch: A relative who works in Singapore took me to eat Bak Kut Teh at a famous restaurant. • I was touched by both the taste and the kindness that helped fill the day of those who had no budget. • 💦 Walk in line at the Fountain of Wealth • The Fountain of Wealth... People with no money come to ask for wealth. It's hopeful. • 🌇 Evening, enjoy the view at Gardens by the Bay • This time, I got in. The view from the Skywalk in the evening is the best. • Take some photos, collect lots of memories. ⸻ 🎢 Day 3 — A day to let go and have fun at Universal Studios Singapore • 🏰 Full-day trip to USS • Even though the budget is limited, I intend to spend a full day at the theme park. • Advantages of coming alone: I get to use the Single Rider channel, which allows me to play all kinds of rides very quickly. • It's as fun as other people, but I pay less (and don't have to wait for anyone). • 🍛 Evening, come back to eat something easy at Chinatown. • I don't have the energy to walk far, and I'm running out of money. After three nights and four days in Malaysia, I moved to Singapore by bus! It was my first time crossing the border by land, so I was nervous, but I was relieved when I arrived safely in Singapore. I had a few acquaintances who had been to Singapore, and they said it was small so you could see everything quickly, so I thought two nights and three days would be enough, but personally I thought it would be better to stay a little longer. I wanted to experience more of the local atmosphere as well as the famous places. Now, let me introduce the places I was particularly glad to have visited♪ Day 1 "Chinatown/Chinatown Singapore" There was a temple I wanted to go to, so I went through Chinatown. There were many souvenir shops and restaurants lined up. On the way back, I bought a T-shirt and chocolate at a souvenir shop here. "Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, Singapore" I found out later that there is a tooth of Buddha discovered in Myanmar. "Merlion Park" When you think of Singapore, the first thing that comes to mind is the lion. It's famous as one of the world's most disappointing spots, but I was quite moved when I first saw the Merlion. I thought, "Is that the lion I've always seen in photos?" I had heard that it was disappointing, so I thought it would be small and unimpressive, but surprisingly, it wasn't! It may have been because I saw it for the first time that I was impressed, but it was bigger than I normally think, and the water spray coming out of the Merlion's mouth was strong and amazing. I could see Marina Bay Sands in the distance, and I went here at night, so the night view was beautiful, and it became one of my favorite places! Day 2 "Sentosa Island" I came to Singapore with almost no plan, so I went to Sentosa Island on a whim! I thought it would be quite difficult to get to the island, but it was easy to get there by train! I just relaxed on the beach and had a wonderful time! However, it was very hot, so I couldn't survive without shade...I went back to buy water several times to prevent heatstroke. The island itself is not that big, so I think I can get around it in a night or two! "Palawan Beach" As I was walking, I saw a big white bridge. The blue sky and palm trees are beautiful, and it's a very photogenic spot! I tried crossing the bridge and took a little walk. I couldn't help but stare at a very beautiful woman taking photos... It's a beach I want to visit again when I visit Sentosa Island! I didn't stay overnight this time, so I don't know what the atmosphere is like at night on Sentosa Island, but the beach is beautiful, so I guess it must be romantic. I walked around Sentosa Island as if I was just taking a walk, but it was just too hot!! It's essential to take precautions against heatstroke. I was pretty exhausted from the heat, so I had a mysterious drink to refresh myself on the way home. "Clarke Quay" I went back to the hotel and went to the area along the river. I went there to have dinner with a friend in the evening, and it was very romantic. I thought it would be wonderful to walk along the river with my lover. There were many restaurants and cafes, and I ate at a Western restaurant there. On the way back, I walked a little around the river and headed straight to Gardens by the Bay. "Gardens by the Bay" It was already past 10pm when we arrived. There were not many people, but there were a few tourists here and there. Admission is free, and the overall opening hours of Gardens by the Bay are from 5:00 to 2:00. I wanted to see the "Supertree" as much as I wanted to see the Merlion when I was sightseeing in Singapore. It was lit up in blue, and it was a fantastic and relaxing experience. It's one of the places I want to go back to. I could also see Marina Bay Sands, and I thought I'd like to stop by there someday. Day 3: It's finally time to return to Thailand. I wanted to try Singapore's local gourmet food "Bak Kut Teh" at the end, so I decided to go to a famous restaurant! I tried to go to "Song Fa Bak Kut Teh 11 New Bridge Road", but when I arrived, it was super crowded! There was a line. I didn't have much time, so I had no choice but to go to a nearby Bak Kut Teh restaurant. I went to "NG AH SIO Bak Kut Teh (Clarke Quay Central)". The inside was clean. I really wanted to experience a more local feel, but maybe next time. It was my first time to try Bak Kut Teh, and the moment I ate it, I thought, "Wait... it's too delicious," and regretted not having known about this food before (lol). The meat on the bone was soft and easy to eat, and the soup was so delicious. I don't know what to say, but I was impressed with the soup I had never tried before. When I ran out of soup, the waitress gave me more, so I ended up having several bowls. Refills of soup were free, but the charge for the towels was extra. (lol) With my stomach full, I headed to the airport very satisfied. And then I safely arrived at Singapore Changi Airport. There was another place I wanted to go to here too. It was Jewel Changi Airport!! This is a huge complex inside the airport. It's located in Terminal 1. I also wanted to see the Rain Vortex inside. The world's highest indoor waterfall is impressive when you see it in person! I took a shuttle bus to Terminal 4. I used my Trip.com lounge access privileges to go to the Blossom Lounge. I'll share my impressions later. As hotel guests, we just needed to scan a QR code (obtained from reception) at VivoCity, no fees, it's free! We hopped on the monorail from VivoCity for a short ~5-minute ride to Sentosa Island. With stations like Resorts World, Imbiah, and Beach Station, we got easy access to attractions like Universal Studios Singapore, beaches, and more! The ride offers scenic views of the island, especially the ocean view heading to VivoCity. It gets crowded on weekends, but trains run fast, you won't feel frustrated waiting. I went into the tunnel where the British soldiers were at during the war times. They hide under the tunnel to prepare all the equipment and missiles to get ready to be in the war with the Japanese soldiers. Just visited Fort Siloso on Sentosa Island, and it was an incredible journey through time! 🇸🇬✨ Nestled on what was once called Pulau Blakang Mati, Fort Siloso is Singapore’s only remaining coastal fort — and what a story it tells. Built by the British in the 1880s to guard the western entrance to Keppel Harbour and its vital coal stores, it later stood witness to some of the darkest and most defining moments in our history. #summervacay At the sentosa trail walk, you can walk from the fort Siloso area all the way towards the resorts world sentosa area. The walk is long and it takes almost an hour of walking. You would also get to see the beautiful sea and the cruises that are travelling along the sea. It is a windy place to be at. There are many places there. You can jog or walk or even cycle at the pathway.

The price was nice, saving money for shopping later 💕 ⸻ Day 2: Visiting spectacular landmarks & taking tons of photos 🌺📸 Today I woke up early in a sweet-colored outfit and headed to Gardens by the Bay, the largest botanical garden in Asia 🌳 Inside, there are two big domes you must not miss: • Flower Dome with flowers from around the world, bright and sweet colors, like walking in a fairy garden 🧚♀️🌸 • Cloud Forest with the highlight “waterfall in the clouds,” cool and grand, with a skywalk that makes you feel like you’re flying 🦋 After taking plenty of photos, I walked to take pictures with Supertree Grove, the giant tree towers that light up at night 🌟 In the evening, I watched the Garden Rhapsody show, music + lights, like a free concert in the garden, so heartwarming 💡🎶 Before heading back, I stopped to take photos with the iconic Merlion, the water-spouting lion of Singapore! 🦁 Then I strolled along Marina Bay, walking slowly with the cool breeze, feeling softly romantic. ⸻ Day 3: Universal Studios Singapore, a day full of fun! 🎢🍿 Woke up early again with a pounding heart because today I’m going to USS – Universal Studios Singapore on Sentosa Island! This island is easy to get to by MRT + the cute pink Monorail 💗 I started at the Hollywood zone with candy-colored buildings and shops, then moved to other zones: • Madagascar with cute rides perfect for photo lovers 🐧🌴 • Ancient Egypt with the thrilling Mummy ride that made me scream (but it was so much fun!) 🏺 • Sci-Fi City with Transformers and Battlestar Galactica rides that almost made my heart jump out! 🚀 • Far Far Away with Princess Fiona’s castle, cute like a fairy tale 💫 Food in the park is a bit pricey, but there were hot chicken burgers, rainbow ice cream, and delicious chocolate pancakes 🍔🍦 Before leaving, I didn’t forget to buy souvenirs from USS like puppy hats, Minion keychains, and Transformers pens—I spent all my money but was so happy 💸💝 ⸻ Day 4: Light shopping at Bugis Street then farewell at Jewel 🛍️💖 Last day, oh no~ must make the most of it! I went to Bugis Street, a trendy youth fashion market, with tons of stuff for sale: clothes, bags, shoes, keychains, souvenirs, postcards, and food too 🛍️✨ I got a lot of things like: • Oversized Merlion print shirt • Pastel-colored tote bag • Cute bottled milk tea • Local chocolates + weird snacks I wanted to try 💌🍫 Before flying back, I went to Jewel again without getting bored, wanted to see the waterfall in daylight once more, sit at a café sipping latte, and write a postcard to myself 🍰☕ And then… it was time to go back to Thailand! 🌟 Singapore Trip Review: 4 Days 3 Nights – A Small City with a Big Heart and a Million Times the Charm! 🇸🇬💛 Hello everyone~ Today I’m sharing a cute experience I just had in a country everyone says is “a must-visit,” and now I understand why… Yes! That country is Singapore 🎡✨ A small country close to home that’s incredibly clean, safe, and full of cool attractions—from indoor waterfalls, malls on the water, sky gardens, cloud-piercing buildings, to even delicious chicken rice! (Seriously) 😂 ⸻ ✈️ DAY 1: Hello Singapore~ First, I fell in love with the airport! We departed from Don Mueang Airport and flew just over 2 hours to the world-renowned Changi Airport, which truly lives up to its reputation as the most beautiful airport in the world! 💖 This place isn’t just an ordinary airport; it’s a landmark, especially the Jewel Changi Airport building with the Rain Vortex, the tallest indoor waterfall in the world 🌧️🪴. It’s absolutely spectacular! The misty waterfall with light streaming through curved glass feels like a Hollywood movie scene. We relaxed, took endless photos, strolled through the Shiseido Forest Valley, a real garden inside the building, and even tried Auntie Anne’s pretzels with an international twist but a homey aroma 555. Then we took the MRT into the city, using an EZ-Link card for easy tap-and-go access. The MRT here is very clean, with air-conditioned walkways, making it as comfortable as Japan’s trains 🎫🚇. Tonight we stayed near Bugis, a central area with convenient transport, lots of malls and cafes. If you love photography, you’ll definitely love the many beautiful spots~ ⸻ 🌼 DAY 2: Merlion – Gardens by the Bay – Marina Bay Sands 🦁🌉🌸 Woke up with a full heart because today was all about landmarks! Starting at Merlion Park to greet the legendary water-spouting lion in person 🦁💦. Even though I’d seen it in photos many times, seeing it live was truly touching. Across the bay is Marina Bay Sands, famous for its expensive hotel but free to explore 555. The morning view here is amazing, with a gentle breeze, boats passing by, and the glass buildings sparkling in the sunlight ✨. Next, we walked to Gardens by the Bay, which includes the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. Missing these is a big mistake! •🌺 Flower Dome: Flowers from around the world in vibrant colors, with seasonal themes. •⛅ Cloud Forest: A towering indoor waterfall! It’s cool inside, and you can walk the skywalk for a high-up view. After feeling refreshed, we sneaked into the mall under Marina Bay Sands and went up to the Sands SkyPark Observation Deck. It’s very high and offers panoramic views of the whole island~ If you go in the evening, you can watch the sunset with city lights—beyond beautiful! 🌇 ⸻ 🎠 DAY 3: Universal Studios Singapore – So fun you forget you’re an adult! Today was our inner child’s day because we headed to USS (Universal Studios Singapore) on Sentosa Island 🎡🎬. From the moment we entered, we were greeted by roller coasters, laughter, and movie soundtrack vibes—it really felt like being inside a film 🎞️. •Favorite was Transformers The Ride, where you feel like you’re in a real chase scene. •Revenge of the Mummy was dark, thrilling, and shook us hard! •Of course, we took tons of photos with Minions, Madagascar, and Shrek~ We walked until our legs were tired but kept laughing nonstop. If you go as a couple, expect lots of cute moments holding hands and screaming on rides—sweethearts in battle mode 🤣❤️. In the evening, we returned to the city to Clarke Quay, a lively riverside area with lights, music, and a great vibe for chilling over dinner by the river, shopping for souvenirs, or taking a boat tour. ⸻ 🛍️ DAY 4: Eating, shopping, then flying home with a full heart 💛 On our last morning, we stopped by Chinatown to buy lots of souvenirs—milk tea, boxed snacks, magnets, keychains, postcards, and handmade items from local designers 🍵📮. We had famous chicken rice at Maxwell Food Centre (Tian Tian, the legendary chicken rice!). The chicken was tender, the rice fragrant, and the sauce amazing—so good I wanted a second plate 🍗. Before leaving, we shopped again at Jewel (yes, again!) and enjoyed Llaollao fruit jelly yogurt, which was so delicious it made my eyes pop. I seriously wanted to buy some to take on the plane back to Thailand 😋✈️. ⸻ 🌈 Impressions I want to share ✨ The city is seriously clean, like everything’s been scrubbed spotless 😅. ✨ Easy to get around, clear signs, MRT is simple to understand—no chance of getting lost. ✨ Singaporeans are kind and very helpful, especially when I got lost. ✨ The city is full of green spaces, making it refreshing even in the urban center. ✨ Food is delicious and not as expensive as expected, especially in food courts. ⸻ 💌 Heartfelt summary Singapore is a small country that made me fall in love with every step I took—clean, safe, friendly people, and attractions that perfectly blend nature, technology, and urban life. The free shuttle bus comes regularly and you can take it from the resorts world sentosa bus stop all the way to the shangri la Rasa sentosa area. It is a fifteen minute ride in total.

One of the must visit places in Singapore. Beautiful scenery, many attractions to see. Easy access through train or bus. Usually crowded and very hot, so bring sunscreen and hat or umbrella. Bit overpriced but very clean. Prepare your money and enjoy!

For souvenirs, I would recommend purchasing from Chinatown as they are very reasonably priced.
