Sanrio Theme Park

The biggest fun here is the cartoon stage shows and taking crazy photos. The main entrance is on the 3rd floor of the amusement park. As soon as you enter, you'll see Hello Kitty and other cartoon characters. The 1st and 2nd floors mainly have amusement facilities and performance venues. The 4th floor has restaurants and cafes. Generally, you don't need to queue much. I've been there twice, and the only place where you need to queue for a long time is the Sanrio Star Family Boat Ride. Additionally, my top recommendations are: 1️⃣ Hello Kitty Noh Theater I never expected my first experience with the Japanese cultural treasure of Noh theater would be in this form. The characters in the play are all Hello Kitty mascots, and the costumes are particularly exquisite! Unfortunately, you can't take photos. The theme of the play is Momotaro, and the actors are very professional. Even if you don't understand Japanese, you can instantly get into the atmosphere. 2️⃣ Parade The most exciting part should be the parade. People start sitting and waiting early, and the atmosphere is very lively. Transportation: Take the Keio Line from Shinjuku Station and get off at Tama Center Station. If you are a fan of Sanrio, If you are on a trip with your besties, family, or as a couple, Sanrio Puroland will be your 'happy hometown' The park treats you like a child throughout, letting you immerse yourself in a fairy-tale world, even the most stoic guys will be touched. Sanrio Puroland is an indoor amusement park. So you don't have to worry about the weather, you can have fun no matter the season or weather! There are umbrella racks and lockers at the entrance, so you can store your things first and free your hands! Then go to the first floor to get a photo ticket for the meet-and-greet (one person can only take a photo with one character) One of the highlights of Sanrio Puroland is the performance show! There are 3 performances, with a great atmosphere and interactivity! It lets you completely immerse yourself in the adorable fairy-tale world! You can buy tickets for the performance seats, but I think it's unnecessary, you can occupy a closer position an hour early, or just watch from the second floor. Sanrio Puroland's performances are famously good, with great lighting and music, and the actors and cute characters are very engaging... Every time I watch it, I'm left wanting more, with a lasting impression! Don't miss the parade floats, they're amazing! Don't miss it! There are fewer attractions in Sanrio Puroland: one is the boat ride, which is slow and steady, mainly to see some cute Sanrio characters, a bit like Disney's It's a Small World. The immersion is great, and you can't help but keep saying 'so cute, so cute' throughout the ride. Another is My Melody's magic cart, a whole pink world, super cute! They help take photos throughout, and you can choose your own photos to print at the end. If you don't want to queue for the rides, you can also get a fast pass for 1000 yen The 2nd floor's Hello Kitty house is gorgeous and very photogenic! You can't stop taking pictures, and you might even meet Princess Kitty... Sanrio Puroland has many cute facilities, with n number of photo spots, each filled with Sanrio elements, and the photo success rate is incredibly high! You can also get gachapon, draw for plushies, and take purikura. There are three dining areas in the park. The 4F buffet restaurant can be reserved upon entry to avoid queues. The other two are more like food courts. Sanrio's cute food is mainly on F1. 3F is the Gudetama Sanrio souvenir shop, the shop is too cute, filled with Sanrio treasures, it's impossible to leave empty-handed Tips: ①Make a reservation ②Remember to get a map and a performance timetable when entering, and plan your queuing time for shows and attractions. ③The park's attractions are all 'gentle' so you don't have to be picky about what to wear, you can wear skirts, and I recommend clothes with a girly feel and solid colors for better photos. ⑥The park is at the end of a commercial street, and there's also a small park. After coming out of the park, you can also take a stroll, it's quite pleasant. My first visit to Puroland was around 1992-1993, and I remember going crazy with excitement because everything looked so beautiful. I've been there a few times since, and even on this recent visit, it still feels the same as it did 30 years ago! Although many things have changed, the main gate, treehouse, murals, shops, and the crowd all seem unchanged, giving a nostalgic feeling of going back 30 years. The biggest difference now is that I didn't go on a shopping spree; I didn't buy a single thing 🤪.

last holiday of golden week

we went to sanrio puroland yesterday. first we thought that it is crowded but luckily not that as much like visiting Disneyland. the day before our trip i checked the price in their website it was very expensive 5900yen so i check if the trip.com has a ticket for sanrio i was surprise that it was half of the price in the official website of the sanrio. while going their i book a trip in trip.com and it is very easy no hassle. when we arrive you just need to prepare your qr code and enter smoothly. my daughter had so much fun seeing ang meeting hello kitty and Daniel and takes pictures with them. they have 2 or 3 rides for kids. also the souvenir it was very cute. I recommend it for family you will enjoy the sanrio puroland. by the way they have smoking area outside of the building before entering the gate they only have one area for that so take note,when you enter if you want to smoke you tell to the stuff that you will go for smoke and they will stamp a reentry. that's all...

Indoor experience at Sanrio Puroland

Amazing experience! All indoors and VERY Sanrio themed. Lots of fun rides. Was busy and a weekend but never waited longer than 20 minutes. Awesome gift shop (would recommend ducking in to buy some ears and doing complete shop once you’re done). Themed food available in food court and around the park. You can meet Hello Kitty inside her house. Everyone is very friendly. We stayed from open to close and we’re busy the whole time. Bring passport for tax-free shopping. Highly recommend the boat ride. Fun day in Sanrio Puroland (Tokyo)

It’s a place for all the Sanrio fans! Sanrio Puroland can satisfy all the imaginations you would have for Sanrio characters. We have spent a full day inside by visiting the hello kitty’s house, riding on the Melody and Kuromi’s car, shopping for all the Sanrio products and food etc. There were many instagrammable spots too. It’s very lovely attraction. I really enjoyed the time here!

The other popular Sanrio Characters is My Melody and her new friend Kuromi. Both of them have their own photo zone and retail space. You can find them on 2nd level at the desserts kiosk area. This is also free entry so you just join in the queue to enter the photo zone. It can get quite cramped inside when there are too many people and no staff is controlling the crowd. You can also use the props available and create your own photo shoot. If you are running out of time and only have enough time to take one ride in Sanrio Puroland, then please take this boat ride. I will tell you how to shorten your queuing time and take this ride by jumping the queue. You will go join in the regular queue then when you reach the mid-point which is at the down escalator, there will be a staff carrying a signboard and asking in Japanese, any single rider here. You can then clarify in English and verify you are willing to take a single rider boat ride. The staff will escort you to the front of the queue. The one and only place to get a well stocked Sanrio merchandise and also the headquarters of all Sanrio characters. The Sanrio Puroland in Tokyo is the happiest place for all Sanrio fans. This theme park has only kiddy rides, character houses, character meet and greet and many gift shops. So it is better suited for younger children and adults looking for less exciting rides. You can buy their merchandise towards the end of the day before leaving. Most of them are well-stocked and the prices are same as other Sanrio giftshops. An interactive 2 way communication show between Gutedema and the audience. This show is in entirely in Japanese but you still can guess what is going on. There are subtitles on the screen but it is not always there. Some of the live component of the show are not being translated in real time. It is still an enjoyable and fun interaction to have with Gutedema. He will also select some audience for close-up interaction. There are various timings for different characters so you can choose the session. It is all about interaction here at Sanrio Puroland and you can find many interactive components here. This is also including the restrooms. Yes you are right that the restroom at Sanrio Puroland but not all of them are decorated. You can find the nicer restrooms at 1st floor nearby the fairyland. This theme is about being in a musical forest whereby you can unleash your musical talents. There are piano keyboards on the floor too and you can step on it. This is a long queue attraction for Little Twin Star House. You will enter the kaleidoscope tunnel before arriving to their house. The theme of the house is pretty much blue and pink, just like the Twin Star characters. You will enter into their playhouse and there is no time limit to stay here. The symbolic icon is the crescent moon for them and there are many crescent moons to take photos. There is also a mirror maze to navigate when you are here. This theme park is a good fit for the younger children, the rides and activities are catered to their age group. I was expecting more girls than boys here but Sanrio Puroland has done a great job by creating many characters for their fans. This place also appeals to the adults and everyone come here dressing up in their kawaii outfits too. You also can try your luck at the lucky spin game booth. You can spin twice and each spin must match to win the big prize. It is also ok if you did not match your two spins. A must visit place to have the cutest lunch in Sanrio Puroland, the character foodcourt. You will get o eat rice and noodles specially designed after all the Sanrio characters. It is an ala-cart and free seating foodcourt so you have to find a seat first or you can spilt up with your group. Some will look for seats while the other queue in line to order food. There are many diners here and the queue for food can be very long too. The playzone at Sanrio Puroland and is more suitable for older kids. The adults also can get their caricature drawn by the artists and the artists will also include a drawing of your favourite character too. You can even dressed up in costumes and get it drawn too. These type of drawings is cute and less serious than the regular portraits. The caricature artists will incorporate fun and somewhat like a cartoon drawing too. Sanrio Puroland has too many photo spots and you can take so many photos with or without a photographer. Some things to take note in Japan theme park is that you cannot use a tripod but a selfie stick is ok. So you cannot set up any camera on tripod to avoid collision. But you can use a selfie stick but not during shows and parades. There are too many restrictions so you can don’t bring all these photo equipment and be able to clear the security checks easily. #wecreate Let us paint the town PINK. Our travel to San Rio Amusement park in Tokyo might be short and quick but it brought unforgettable joy and laughter especially to our daughter Koki. She love SanRio character especially Hello Kitty and this place is full pack of those treat. from food, souvenir, attractions every corner of this place speaks pink, cuteness and fantasy. Getting There - 8 Minute walk fro. Keio-tama-Center Station Attractions- From train station to actual Puroland everything is SanRio Hotels - we stayed at Sakura Hotel Nippori station Food & Restaurants - a lot of fast food and restaurants are available inside and just outside Puroland Shopping - shopping areas are everywhere from a dollar shop to high end shops.
