I stopped by here for a while when I was going from Dubrovnik to Split, but I recommend that anyone who goes here bring a swimsuit. Brela, which has a really beautiful sea color, Puntarata Beach is said to be famous for its beautiful beaches. This is the best beach in Makarska Riviera. Not exposed to the direct sea means that the water is very calm. Beach is quite long so you can find a nice place. Trees are giving a lot of shade. Water is clear, perfect for snorkeling especially around Brela rock. High chance to see very wide underwater life including fish, starfish, jellyfish. Really nice Beach with clear water. Scenery is amazing. No sand, just pebbles. Difficult to park during high season, we arrived around 4 PM and found a space along the road. Suggestion would be to come after 5-6PM, as the sun is not that strong during August and people start leaving.
