TIDUNG ISLAND
Tidung Island A visit to Jakarta is incomplete if you don't take the time to travel to Tidung Island. Tidung Island is a large island which is also part of the Thousand Islands, Jakarta. Tidung Island consists of two parts, namely the Big Tidung Island and the Small Tidung Island. Tidung Besar Island is an inhabited island which has an area of 3.8 km x 300m. Meanwhile, Tidung Kecil Island is uninhabited and is devoted to the cultivation and preservation of mangroves. Mangrove forests on the island function to prevent abrasion and to conserve nature. At certain times, tourists can participate to help plant trees on Tidung Kecil Island. Tidung Besar Island and Tidung Kecil Island are connected by a 630 meter long wooden bridge. When walking along it, tourists will be spoiled with beautiful panoramas of the marine ecosystem that can be seen from the top due to the clear water on the island.
