#thingstodo There are Performance Lake water show attractions outside of both Wynn properties in Macau. This is the large scale setup at Wynn Palace on the Cotai Strip. It is similar to what you may have seen at Bellagio in Las Vegas but with the addition of the SkyCab cable car ride that circumnavigates the lake. The shows are held from 12pm to 6pm (every 30 minutes) and from 6pm to midnight (every 20 minutes) and are 3-4 minutes in length. What you see are choreographed water shows featuring powerful fountain spouts that are set to music. The shows are nice to see when sky conditions are favourable during the day. They are even more impressive after dark when the water spouts are also lit up with flood lights. If I had to choose, I would pass by in the evening to view then but if time is limited, watching during the afternoon is still fun.

🗺️Destination Overview 📍Itinerary: Travel with Parent 👉Day 1: 🧭Route ✈️Transportation Bus and Taxi 🏖️Must-Visit Attractions Senado square is a area surround with shop and eating place. Take a few photos and we left. Because the weather is very hot and crowded. We let our parent to rest a while in Senado hall because there are aircon while we went to search for bus to go The Venetian. The bus took us around 30mins to reach kind of confusing at searching for bus stop. The Venetian is huge, from bus stop to inside the mall took us around 7 mins walk, but just nice to catch the sunset. The first view when we step inside the Venetian is Fantastic, the grand hall is so luxurious and beautiful. After dinner, we walk around to found a Taxi stand outside hotel, then we realize, Taxi is worthwhile (MOP21 starting price) it cost around 90 MOP from The Venetian hotel to Metropole hotel in Peninsula. and convenient for 5 of us and parent that can’t walk much. 🥘Food Porkchop bun and Macao Milk tea around Senado Square. Dinner at Tai Er SuanCai Yu in the mall, nice and recommended. 🏠Accommodation 1.Metropole Hotel Macau 👉Day 2: 🧭Route Ruined of St Paul, local market (雀仔园），Fisherman’wharf, Grand Lisboa, Wynn palace. ✈️Transportation Local Taxi 🏖️Must-Visit Attractions Took a photo at the Ruins of St Paul, try to reach earlier to avoid crowded, however early like 8am the shop nearby is still close, so either avoid crowd or experience more lively street along the way to Ruins of St Paul Fisherman’s wharf is big, but too hot to stay for long, and not much place for my parent to rest. We went to take free cable car at Wynn palace, it is so beautiful but not worth 2 hours wait. second floor crowded also. On the way home, taxi driver recommended us to a restaurant( 9th photo) they advertise on their wet tissue that there will be free shuttle service, and the lady even promise this is available for any amount spent before we order, when we are paying, the lady said need to spend 500mop to entitle for the service, but because it is already 10pm++ we don’t want to eat too much, we only order a fried rice and five cans of drinks that cost us 261Mop, so we end up have to walk outside to catch taxi. What a Scam! 🥘Food Had a very nice Charsiew lunch at Hou Keng Fan Tim 好景饭店， crowded but fast seating arrangement, service consider good at this crowded space. Recommended. 🏠Accommodation 1.Metropole Hotel Macau 👉Day 3: 🧭Route ✈️Transportation 🏖️Must-Visit Attractions 2. Spotlight Buffet 1.Golden Reel Figure-8 Ferris Wheel Bought a package ticket from Trip.com for buffet and Golden Reel, however due to Thunderstorms warning, we didn’t manage to take the ride, and non-refundable. 🥘Food Buffet, lunch buffet is normal. Not really recommended. 👉Day 4: Route Today I explore Macao by myself and discover a small Michelin recommended restaurants. I like the Taofufa so much. Finally took free shuttle bus to airport. Food: 荣记豆腐面食

This is my second comprehensive visit to Wynn Palace in Macau's Taipa. During my previous visit, I encountered a typhoon and could only stay in my room. This time, I came during the best season to visit Macau, with pleasant temperatures and gentle breezes, finally fulfilling my two-year-long wish 🎉🎉🎉 Though Wynn Palace has only been open for about 5 years, it remains Macau's crowning achievement in luxury resorts. The entire resort resembles Versailles - everywhere you look, even in public restrooms, you'll find stunning works of art. It's no exaggeration to say it's filled with European noble artistic ambiance. Wynn Palace's most distinctive and experiential elements include regularly updated large-scale art installations, the Performance Lake, and cable car. The shopping boulevard is home to almost exclusively luxury brands 💎💎💎 With such luxurious amenities, basic rooms started at 2,000 yuan before the pandemic. Now, prices have dropped by more than half due to the pandemic, making it an incredible value. I used the saved budget to try their in-room breakfast service, which was absolutely amazing. There are many breakfast set options, the food is delicious, and portions are much larger than expected. Dining by the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the outdoor pool and Performance Lake, with stunning city views, you can't help but feel good. It's also perfect for social media photos 📸📸📸 Not only are the rooms stunning, but even the elevators, corridors, and other public areas are beautiful, with perfect orange and white color schemes. The amenities, tea bags, welcome gifts, and turndown gifts are all so artistically crafted that I couldn't put them down 😍😍😍 Wynn Palace has numerous restaurants, some of which are hard to get reservations for. This time, I brought enough budget to fully experience SW Steakhouse, the world's only Forbes Five-Star steakhouse, and Wing Lei Palace, a Michelin one-star restaurant. The former offers generous portions of delicious food with entertaining theatrical performances that are both spectacular and humorous. The latter serves exquisite Cantonese cuisine while overlooking the musical fountain shows at the Performance Lake. Both represent the highest standards of Chinese and Western cuisine in Macau and are must-visit dining destinations 🍴🍴🍴 I must mention that I strongly recommend including art appreciation in your Macau itinerary. I was fortunate to visit during "Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2021" at the Wynn Art Gallery, featuring the "Masterpieces of Chinese Painting" exhibition. While admission is free, the exhibition content is absolutely breathtaking 👀👀👀 Wynn Palace is very accessible, with free shuttle buses from border gates, airport, and ferry terminals. The cable car overlooking the musical fountain and lake views is free for everyone, and hotel guests can skip the queue ✌🏻️✌🏻️✌🏻️ Macau's territory-wide pandemic prevention measures are very thorough. Masks are required in indoor public areas, Macau Health Code checks are conducted at entrances, and 48-hour negative nucleic acid test reports are required when entering and leaving Macau.
