Don’t know what to eat for breakfast at Jakarta? Don’t worry. There is plenty of portable stall by the roadside outside the hotel. Today, I was attracted to one of the stall next to POP!Hotel. The makcik @ also known as Ibu, is selling the Lontong and some economy noodles. I choose Lontong, as I saw the previous client ordered Lontong too, as the appearance look so delicious to me. It cost me IDR15,000, comes with lemang, dried bean curd, generous vegetables and a hard boiled eggs. The curry gravy and the sambal enhanced the taste of the Lontong. It taste a bit spicy, but bearable. Complementary hot tea also available at this stall 😊😊 Highly recommended for those who want to try their local delicacies.

Delicious Food by the Street!!

Wondering what is so nice on this long Q stall. Nasi Bebek!! It’s once of the famous food in Indonesia. Most of the people queue for the take away, while lots still prefer to dine in. I choose to dine in as well, as I was lucky to get the last available seat. I took me around 10mins to get the food served. The food was tasty but relatively oily. It comes with Fry Duck, Oil Spices and a rice. A plate of Nasi Bebek cost me IDR30,000. Bubur ayam, is a famous local breakfast among the local people here. With the price of IDR12,000 (include ad on) you will get a bowl or porridge with generous toppings; Crackers, peanuts, chicken liver, vegetables, spices and many more. The portion is quite big to me😅😅 You get a complementary hot tea too.

New Place, New Hair Style… That’s my way of travel. I always look for the local hairdresser whenever I traveled to a new place. Barberpedia is a modern concept of barbershop located inside the Graha Foodpedia mall. The shop offers basic hair grooming, hair colouring and hair tattoo. I was a bit disappointed a day earlier when I came after 9pm which is their last call. Today, I come early to avoid disappointment. The shop open at 11am-9pm daily. My grooming cost me IDR50,000 which is quite affordable to me. I like their simple and fast hair do services. #barbershop #tripblazers #hairdresser

Soto Betawi Jakarta

Surprisingly, the business during the dinner hour is very good. It comes with the street artist performance with tips. The food is simple, cheap yet delicious. Hence, it attracts lots of local to take their dinner after the office hour. I like the food here, but the area a bit crowded due to good business of course. Passer Baroe Jakarta

A night still young after my dinner by the street. Most of the shopping mall close quite early at this area, around 7pm. So, a leisure walk along the street can be quite peaceful here. Next to the Passer Baroe entrance, people are selling lots and lots of coconut. I give myself a try; which cost me IDR10,000 each. Wow!! So refreshing!! The coconut meat is fleshy, sweat and juicy. It’s a must try fruit and drink to refresh yourself after the dinner. It was a windy night during my stay. Whenever I felt like want to have a hot drink, I just walk out from the hotel, to get a cup of hot coffee. Most of the local people will buy a drink from the portable stall, which cost IDR4,000 to IDR5,000 per cup. I always thought that the convenient store opens 24 hours. But, it doesn’t happen at Indonesia. So, make sure you get your food or drink before 10pm at Indomaret 😊😊 #SpooktacularTrip #tripblazers #passerbaroe
