Stunning Sunset at Osaka Castle 🏯
#bestsunset
A few days ago, we witnessed an amazing sunset at Osaka Castle! This iconic landmark is not only a must-see for its stunning architecture and rich history but also offers breathtaking views during sunset.
To get there, you can take the Osaka Metro to Tanimachi 4-chome Station (Tanimachi Line) or Osaka Business Park Station (Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line). From either station, it's just a short walk to the castle. The beautiful gardens surrounding the castle make for a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view.

Osaka Castle Photo Tips: Capturing the Perfect Shot 🏯
Want to snap some awesome photos of Osaka Castle without a crowd? Here are three tips to help you get those perfect shots:
1. **From the Bridge**: Head to the bridge leading to the castle's main area. It’s a great spot to capture the castle from a distance with fewer people in the frame. The bridge gives a nice perspective of the castle’s impressive structure.
2. **Staircase Shots**: Once you cross the bridge and start heading up the staircases along the castle’s walls, you'll find some fantastic angles. The elevated view from these stairs lets you frame the castle beautifully while avoiding the busy entrance area.
3. **Pond and Garden**: For a unique shot, check out the pond and garden at the back of the castle’s front area (on the right side). Stand far back and use your zoom to capture the castle with you in front of it and greenery as well with no people on it. This way, the castle looks grander and you’ll have a serene background.
These spots will help you get stunning photos of Osaka Castle with a bit of creativity and fewer people around.
Bonus picture: take a cute japanese snack and also get a shot of it, will be a nice memory to have specially if it’s your first time in Japan like me 🍡
To get this shots you don’t need to pay any entrance, since it’s outside the actual museum.

Japan Travel Guide—Osaka
Step into Osaka, located in the central-western part of Japan, in the heart of the Kinki region. Although it is the smallest prefecture in Japan by area, its population and population density are second only to the capital, Tokyo, making it the second largest in the nation. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with the western part facing the bow-shaped Osaka Bay. Due to its proximity to Japan's ancient capitals, Kyoto and Nara, it rapidly developed and prospered as a crucial hub for water and land transportation and as a commercial city. In the city of Osaka, there is Osaka Castle, centered around a 5-story castle tower, with a lawn park of about 60,000 square meters. During the cherry blossom season in spring, the park is thronged with visitors admiring the blossoms, creating an endless stream of people. In Umeda, the northern gateway of Osaka, there are many large underground shopping streets, lined with eateries, boutiques selling trendy goods, and miscellaneous shops. The area centered around Umeda is known as 'Kita'; the area centered around Namba and Dotonbori is known as 'Minami'. Namba is a bustling district with a common touch, while Dotonbori is an area along the Dotonbori River lined with eateries. Minami is a famous entertainment district, home to many theaters and cinemas.
Best Season: March to August is the best time to travel to Osaka, with pleasant weather and a variety of gatherings and festivals taking place, making it the time when you can experience the most characteristic activities.

Osaka Castle
#2024wish Osaka Castle Park and Castle are beautiful areas, a large range of vegetation and paths leading to the various areas of the park. The trees are well-pruned with many interesting species of plants.
The castle’s architecture is exquisite, with a great amount of detail.
On the inside there are many exhibits informing visitors of the history of the castle and other aspects of the area. I highly recommend going to the top floor first, which has an amazing view over the park and city, and working your way down to the bottom, which is a lot easier than going upwards.
I effortlessly spent hours wandering around the sprawling gardens and buildings in the park and castle area.
I wish to go back here in 2024

Japan Travels: We visited Osaka Castle 🇯🇵
#wheretogo
We visited one of the most iconic historical building in Osaka, the Osaka castle. It was very grand and beautiful up close, we are able to touch the powerful and strong stone walls that built up the place.
We visited in the early morning and it was packed with locals and tourists entering the castle area and explore the area, there is a huge wooden bridge that we walked on into the castle grounds. We walked around the castle surroundings and enjoy the gorgeous sight of it. There are many people queuing up to enter to the castle top where they can see the whole 360 view outside the castle grounds, the ticket cost around 600 yen. There are also a few small shrine temples and a mall to wander explore, but the site we love the most is the pond nearby where we can take a nice photo together with the castle at the back.
We also walked around the park just right around the castle, with many tall trees and flora to enjoy the nature. We were able to feel the windy breeze inside the place and feels so calm.
After our visit in the place, we saw a local bakery that sells delicious bread and coffees, it’s called Kobeya Fresh Bakery in Morinomiya JR Station, it’s only a 5 minute walk from Osaka castle. Many locals were seen enjoying the pastry there and we tried some of their speciality too, we recommend the melon pan and cream bun, it was really good! A perfect spot to rest after a long walk in the castle.

✔ Transportation in Japan is expensive,

I use buses and subways a lot,

and you can use it much more cheaply.
✔ With a gas pass, you can visit Dotonbori,
and see Tsutenkaku, Umeda, and Namba.
✔ Since it's electronic, you just need to insert the issued gas pass into the ticket gate and you're done.
✔ You can enter many tourist attractions such as Tsutenkaku Observatory, Tempozan Ferris Wheel, Umeda HEP Five,
Dotonbori River Cruise, Osaka Castle, etc. for free.
‼️The gas pass is not valid for 24 hours from the time it is first used,
but only until the last train, no matter when it is used.
🚫 Even with a 2-day pass, you can only visit tourist attractions once

Osaka Castle: A Journey Through History and Beauty

# My Visit to the
Hello, everyone! I'm so excited to share with you my experience of visiting one of the most iconic landmarks in Japan: the Osaka Castle. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Osaka, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves history, culture, and architecture.
The Osaka Castle is a symbol of the city's resilience and glory. It was built in the 16th century by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of the most influential warlords in Japanese history. He unified Japan under his rule and dreamed of building a magnificent castle that would showcase his power and wealth.
The castle is surrounded by a moat and a stone wall, and it stands on a hill that offers a panoramic view of the city. The main tower has eight floors, each with different exhibits and displays that tell the story of the castle and its historical figures. You can see weapons, armors, paintings, documents, models, and more. There is also an observation deck on the top floor, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Osaka.
One of the most impressive features of the castle is its golden ornaments. You can see golden dolphins, tigers, cranes, and phoenixes on the roof and walls of the tower.
I had a wonderful time visiting the Osaka Castle. It was an amazing opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Japan, and to admire the beauty and craftsmanship of the castle. It was definitely one of the best experiences I had in Osaka, and I hope you will have a chance to visit it too.
Thank you for reading my blog post. If you liked it, please leave a comment below and share it with your friends. Stay tuned for more posts about my travels in Japan

Osaka Castle in Spring
Osaka castle is difinitely main tourist attraction in Osaka. Currently, this castle is used as a modern museum that tells story about Toyotomi Hideyoshi's journey. It's located in west of Osaka. It has 8 floor and I recommend you to go to level 8. You can see Osaka city from up there. Entrance fee is about 600 Yen, but if you had Osaka Amazing Pass, just show it to the ticket counter and you'll pay nothing. In early of April, when the sakura blooms, a lot of locals will gather here and hanami under the sakura tree. There are 600 sakura tree in Osaka Castle, just imagine how beautiful it is if you come in Spring. If you want to visit Osaka Castle, better to come early as the weather is nicer in the morning and less crowded. You can also feel the experience of becoming a Japanese soldier by renting japanese war costume for some extra fee.

See the sights with the 2-day Osaka Amazing Pass 👀
1. Osaka Castle
I went to Osaka Castle, which I was really curious about! It was pretty to see slowly from afar. I was able to go inside Osaka Castle, but the view from above was different!
2. Tsutenkaku
I went up Tsutenkaku Tower. The view of the city from above was different! If you like to enjoy the scenery, I recommend going. I haven't been there, but I think it would be more fun to ride the slide!
3. Tempozan Ferris Wheel
It wasn't planned, but I was curious so I decided to go, and I'm glad I did! It's so big that you have to go up really high, so if you have a fear of heights, it might be a little difficult...! If you go around sunset or at night, you'll be able to see a prettier view!
4. Wonder Cruise
There were several cruises that you could ride with the gas pass, but we decided on the Wonder Cruise because we could reserve in advance! It takes about 20 minutes to ride, and it was nice that you could sit and look around Dotonbori leisurely. However, since it is near the water, it can be cold, so I recommend wearing something a little warm! You can also see the Glico sign, and there is a 2-3 minute photo time in front of it on the way back! If you want to take a picture at this time, I recommend sitting on the right side of the departure direction.
5. Umeda Sky Garden
I also went to another observatory! It felt so high from the bottom. I think I went up by elevator and escalator, but the escalator was steeper than I thought, so I was a little..! scared.. haha If you go all the way up, you can enjoy a great view! I went around sunset, but I think the night view would be really nice too.
6. Hep Five Ferris Wheel
I also rode another Ferris wheel! It was smaller than the Tempozan Ferris Wheel, so I didn't think it was that high. But since it started from the 7th floor of the building, it wasn't that low..! I went there while the sun was setting, so I was able to enjoy the sunset. I think it would be good to go see the night view!
I bought a 2-day gas pass, so I wondered if it was worth it, but it seems like it would be worth buying the gas pass even if you only visit a few places! If you want to visit the famous places, buy the gas pass and solve everything from admission fees to transportation at once!

Osaka Castle and Dotonbori
One of the iconic and historical place in Kansai area is Osaka Castle. Osaka castle (大阪城), pronounced as Ōsakajō was built around 1583 for Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the then de-facto ruler of Japan.
Osaka Castle is easily accessible from the JR Osakajokoen Station. Ticket price for adult is 600 yen, children below the age of 15 can enter free of charge. Additional ticket for Nishinomaru Garden is 200 yen. The castle park is free of charge.
Another iconic area for snacker like me is Dotonbori where we can find the Glicoman big screen and the store selling giant version of various Japanese made Pocky. It's located close to JR Namba Station (Yamatoji line), a five-minute walk from station.

Calming Osaka Castle
If ever you are in Osaka, Japan, I would highly recommend visiting Osaka Castle. This picture perfect and historic castle is truly a sight to see. The castle is one of Japan's most famous landmarks and it played a major role in the unification of Japan during the sixteenth century. It would be best to visit this castle in the morning around 11AM to get the best view.
