I traveled to Osaka, Japan I went in July during the summer, and it was very hot. Accommodation I booked a room that was relatively cheap, so it was overall small. It was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the breakfast was not very good. However, as expected in Japan, the room was very clean. Most hotel counters can speak English. Osaka Universal Studios is expensive but highly recommended! It's very large and there's a lot to see. However, I recommend entering with very light luggage. Of course, there are paid lockers inside. However, the restaurants inside Universal Studios are very expensive, haha. Osaka Dotonbori Dotonbori is like Hongdae. It's a very famous tourist spot, but I recommend just sightseeing rather than buying or eating anything there. It's expensive and the taste is just so-so, haha. Osaka Castle I saw Osaka Castle once when I was young, but it has been remodeled and looks completely different now. It's a pity that the old feeling is mostly gone, but the exhibition hall has been upgraded and the interior is more comfortable! Japanese Subway The Japanese subway is much more complicated than the Korean subway, and the entrances are often different if the lines are different. Make sure to check thoroughly before you come!

#100waysoftravel My 7-day winter adventure began with a long flight from Surabaya to Osaka, with a quick layover in Hong Kong. On Day 2, I visited Osaka Castle, where the winter air and the last remnants of brown leaves created a picturesque atmosphere—perfect for photos. I also indulged in Osaka's famous dollar cake and takoyaki. Day 3 was pure magic at Osaka Universal Studios, where the Harry Potter area's butterbeer was a highlight, and though the queues were long, the Quick Pass made things much smoother. On Day 4, I went shopping at Dior in Shinsaibashi, followed by a visit to the famous Glico Man sign at night. We then shopped at Don Quijote (Don Don Donki), a must-visit for quirky finds. Day 5 took me to Kyoto, where I enjoyed a unique matcha ice cream before visiting the serene Kinkaku-ji Temple. The reflection of the golden temple in the crystal-clear lake was stunning. I also explored the iconic red gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine, capturing many Instagram-worthy shots, before ending the day with delicious cold soba. Day 6 was spent in Nara, where playful deer roamed freely. Feeding them was fun but a bit tricky as they eagerly approached at the sight of food. Warming up with sushi and hotpot was perfect for the chilly weather. This iconic landmark is not only a must-see for its stunning architecture and rich history but also offers breathtaking views during sunset. To get there, you can take the Osaka Metro to Tanimachi 4-chome Station (Tanimachi Line) or Osaka Business Park Station (Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line). Want to snap some awesome photos of Osaka Castle without a crowd? Here are three tips to help you get those perfect shots: 1. **From the Bridge**: Head to the bridge leading to the castle's main area. It’s a great spot to capture the castle from a distance with fewer people in the frame. The bridge gives a nice perspective of the castle’s impressive structure. 2. **Staircase Shots**: Once you cross the bridge and start heading up the staircases along the castle’s walls, you'll find some fantastic angles. The elevated view from these stairs lets you frame the castle beautifully while avoiding the busy entrance area. 3. **Pond and Garden**: For a unique shot, check out the pond and garden at the back of the castle’s front area (on the right side). Stand far back and use your zoom to capture the castle with you in front of it and greenery as well with no people on it. This way, the castle looks grander and you’ll have a serene background. These spots will help you get stunning photos of Osaka Castle with a bit of creativity and fewer people around. Bonus picture: take a cute japanese snack and also get a shot of it, will be a nice memory to have specially if it’s your first time in Japan like me 🍡 To get this shots you don’t need to pay any entrance, since it’s outside the actual museum. #summerdestinations
