A Day Trip to Macau, Who is Macau Suitable For?
A family went on a trip to Zhuhai, mainly to take the kids to Chimelong in Zhuhai, and incidentally to take the elderly father to check in more cities. The strategy was made because Macau is very close, so they took a day to cross the border at Hengqin and completed the Macau city walk.
Who is Macau suitable for?
To put it simply: people who are willing to spend money.
Macau is not big, and just a city walk for checking in and taking photos can be completed in 1-2 days. Compared to Hong Kong, I think it is more orderly, lively but not chaotic, prosperous, but also well-planned.
If you are a budget traveler like me, then in Macau you can spend a whole day without spending a penny. The airport, ports, and Macau Tower have free shuttle buses from various major hotels, no credentials needed, just get on the bus. There is usually a bus every 15-20 minutes. Grand Lisboa, Wynn Macau (Wynn Palace), and MGM (Lion MGM) on the Macau Peninsula and Taipa offer free shuttle services, and then the major hotels are not far from each other, basically within walking distance, and close to the main attractions.
All entertainment venues offer free snacks and drinks, as long as you are of age, you can come and go freely, and fill your stomach without spending a penny.
Since you can play for a whole day without spending a penny, why do I still say Macau is suitable for people who are willing to spend money?
Firstly, Macau is very small, the Ruins of St. Paul's, the Monte Fort, museums, and wandering through the streets, a standard city walk can be completed in 2-3 hours.
Secondly, if you look at everyone's check-in photos, they are basically at the Ruins of St. Paul's, Grand Lisboa Hotel, and various major hotels. So, apart from the standard city walk, another theme of check-ins in Macau is the hotels. The hotels have free performances every hour, but these performances are really just for the sake of it, and not worth buying a plane ticket for a special trip. The cable car, the tower, and various hotel scenes are also very nice, but again not worth a special trip just for a check-in, though they are a good choice if you're passing by.
The free snacks and drinks are very considerate, and some taste quite good, but they are more suitable for sitting down for afternoon tea to enjoy the hotel scenery after a tiring walk. As for the main meals, relying on these freebies can be too much and too sweet.
If you come to Macau and don't go to casinos or buy luxury goods, and taking trendy photos for check-ins is not your main theme, then half the fun of Macau will be lost.
In summary, Macau is great, but whether it is suitable for a few days of play still depends on where your interests lie.

Macau | A Vacation Hotel Worth Reliving
Macau has two MGM hotels, namely MGM Macau and MGM COTAI. This time we stayed at MGM COTAI, and the room's view was amazing, which made us relax as soon as we entered the room. The hotel is super large, with vast spaces dedicated to art, nature, design, and cuisine. The hotel hosts exhibitions with different themes, precious art collections, connecting ancient and modern through artistic aesthetics. While feasting our eyes, the numerous excellent restaurants also satisfied our taste buds. Delicious food, fun activities, beautiful sights, and great shopping - everything is here, and even without leaving the hotel, you can still have a rich and fulfilling vacation⛱️

I'd like to share my extraordinary experience at MGM Macau
MGM Macau is truly a 'jewel box', not only does it look like a jewel box, but it also houses many treasures inside.
Strolling through MGM Macau, you are surrounded by over three hundred top-tier treasures. A collection of 28 imperial carpets from the Qing Dynasty is displayed in the public spaces. The walls and floors, echoing with natural jade, exude a regal aura.
The central VISTA Square of the hotel is a grand stage for visual arts. The square's canopy breaks the record for the largest free-span grid shell glass roof, earning a Guinness World Record, with a precision diagonal grid steel structure. The surrounding LED screens, in sync with various themes, play videos and music, creating different atmospheres in the same space.
The indoor garden at VISTA Square is also quite special, with over 100,000 plants from Macau, mainland China, and 18 different countries, totaling more than 2,000 species, from common to rare, encompassing a wide variety, and the colorful plants bring a natural spirit indoors.
The 'A Bundle of Harmony' art space is currently exhibiting the 'Palace Sugar Sculpture Art Special Exhibition' by the Sugar King, Zhou Yi.
All of the above are free to view after entering MGM Macau. That's why I say, when you come to Macau, you must visit MGM to see its beauty, and don't miss out on Taipa and the Macau Peninsula, each with their own charm.
🥤By the way, you can drink milk tea for free in the casino, and the quality is excellent!
🍾Staying at MGM is also a fantastic experience, and I'm especially grateful to the MGM Golden Lion team for their care, creating an unforgettable stay. The mini-bar is well-stocked with drinks, and the room's 1812 wine is specially customized to celebrate MGM's opening date of December 18th. There's also the irresistible little lion plush toy.
🛁From the holiday rooms to the villa suites, each room's facilities are satisfying. The suites have sauna equipment, and the regular holiday rooms have large bathtubs, which are also a nice treat. The toiletries are MGM-customized with a bergamot citrus scent, fresh and refined. The evening turndown service includes a steam aromatherapy eye mask, and soft slippers and pajamas are prepared by the bed. This service makes me feel like a pampered princess.
The rooms are equipped with a smart control system, easily adjustable with a Pad, and you can also call the front desk through the pad, with charging cables and chargers delivered at any time.
🥞Don't rush breakfast, take your time to enjoy a hearty brunch at the 'Coast' restaurant. The restaurant plays relaxing music, and the waiters wear playful denim overalls. Fresh food and bright smiles all say to me: 'Today is going to be a great day!'
🚌 Prosperity Bus: From 10 am to 11 pm, every 15 minutes, you can take the bus to MGM Macau in the morning, passing by the Macau Tower, and MGM Macau is connected to One Central Square.

Macau | Two-day Travel, Eating, and Shopping Guide
An average of twenty thousand steps a day, the streets are perfect for a citywalk in Macau!!
It just so happened to be the Spring Festival holiday, and it was super crowded.
Two days are enough for the Macau Peninsula and Taipa.
🔸Day1 Arrived at the hotel at noon but couldn't check in yet, usually after 3 pm. Stored the luggage and went to the nearby Fisherman's Wharf (picture 2) and had a brief visit to the Sands. It was about time to get the room card.
In the afternoon, took a taxi to Guia Lighthouse (picture 6, the scenery is good both halfway up the hill and at the top) - walked down to Guia Hill Street - Ruins of St. Paul's - Love Lane - Church of St. Dominic - Municipal Affairs Bureau Building (picture 7) - San Ma Lo (many gold shops) - Grand Lisboa - Old Wynn (pictures 14, 15, the Money Tree performance is worth seeing, there's one every hour) - MGM Peninsula
🔸Day2 Set off at noon, took bus 28a from the hotel next to Amizade Road to Rua do Cunha station (6 mop/person, cash only, during the Spring Festival there are route adjustments, got off one stop early) - Rua do Cunha (pictures 9, 10) - Galaxy (has a complete range of jewelry brands, the only hw in Macau is here) - Venetian (picture 17, didn't take the gondola as it was too crowded, mainly trendy brands here) - Four Seasons (also has a good range of luxury brands) - Parisian (picture 34, the stairs next to it are great for photos!!) - Londoner (picture 5) - MGM Cotai - Wynn Palace (pictures 1, 12, 13, the fountain show is stunning, changes with the music)
Because I had to go back to Galaxy to use the consumption voucher, I finally took the light rail from Cotai East Station to Pai Kok Station, just in time to see the beautiful night view of Macau again🌃
🔹tips: 1. You don't need to exchange too much cash, besides taking the bus and some snack shops, you can mostly pay with your phone 🎲 exchanged with Hong Kong dollars.
2. If you're buying souvenirs, there's no need to buy them too early. There are shops not only at attractions but also in many other places, otherwise, you'll have to carry them around which is inconvenient.
3. The Four Seasons, Venetian, Parisian, and Londoner hotels all have corridors that interconnect, pay attention to the signs or ask the staff.
4. There's no need to queue at very popular shops; there are many authentic snack shops, make sure to leave time to go where you want.
5. For accommodation, it's recommended to stay near a major location. I was going to HK later, so I stayed near the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal. There are free shuttle bus stops at various hotels that you can take. On the last night, I took the shuttle bus from Galaxy to the ferry terminal and walked 5 minutes to the hotel.
Great food, shopping, and sightseeing, will come again!!

Macau City Walk, you can really play for free
Macau is really not big, you can walk to every scenic spot on the two islands. Always feel like playing in Macau is like being abroad
.
One day walking route:
Morning: Gongbei (Pass) → Grand Lisboa → Ruins of St. Paul → Fung Tong Lane → Dongwangyang New Street → Wynn Macau (Take the fortune car to Wynn Palace)
.
Afternoon: Wynn Palace → MGM Cotai → The Parisian Macao → The Londoner Macao → The Venetian Macao → Guanye Street → Pass
.
Recommended five treasure spots:
Ruins of St. Paul: Walk to the banyan tree in the right park to avoid the crowd, and take a photo with the Ruins of St. Paul under the banyan tree. There is also a window facing the Ruins of St. Paul, and the view of the Ruins of St. Paul from the window is also very beautiful. Ruins of St. Paul
Fung Tong Lane: The colorful town and the small street next to it are very photogenic.
Dongwangyang New Street: National Geographic cover, the old street and the Grand Lisboa's photo really have a sense of time overlap.
The Parisian Macao: The Parisian Macao at night really thought it came to Paris!
The Londoner Macao: Take a photo of the bell tower from under the Eiffel Tower, the building really shines at sunset.
.
Zero cost tips:
There is a fortune car to every hotel on the left hand side of Gongbei Port, just get on the car directly, and the fortune car of each hotel can return.
The free pearl milk tea at MGM Cotai is really invincible and delicious! There is also bread to eat!

2023 🇲🇴First trip dedicated to Macau, four days and three nights.
In 2023, we can fly freely again! The first stop is to go to neighboring Macau 🇲🇴.
✅Itinerary route
D1: Check in at MGM Macau - Avenida Dr. Sun Yat Sen
D2: Take a photo and check in 📸 Parisian Garden - Londoner - Coloane Island.
D3: October 5th Street - Bishop's Hill Chapel - Yiwan Slope
D4: Fisherman's Wharf - Ruins of St. Paul's - Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro
✅Clearance port
Go to Macau Peninsula: Gongbei Port and Qingmao Port. Tested personally, Gongbei has more direct shuttle buses to hotels, while Qingmao is faster but does not have shuttle buses.
✅About accommodation
This time I stayed at the MGM, an art palace, and the service and environment were really amazing!
✅About attractions
1⃣️Living in MGM allows you to see various art exhibitions and take great photos.
2️⃣️"Fisherman's Wharf", although small, can easily produce great photos.
3️⃣️Londoners, European-style architecture, super popular online check-in spot, expect long queues, not recommended to visit during holidays.
4️⃣Parisian Gardens, where you can check off the Eiffel Tower and experience French style.
5️⃣Guanye Street, the colorful houses are great for taking photos, but for food you can go elsewhere, there are just too many people here 😂.
6️⃣Dongwangyang New Street, take photos of the same style as National Geographic at the Grand Lisboa, there's not much to do here, only suitable for taking pictures and checking in.
✅About food
October 5th Street: Nanping Yaxu, Niuji Curry Cuisine, Street Desserts.
Around San Ma Lou: Century Coffee, Ming Kee Offal Cuisine, Longhua Tea House, Huan Ji Seafood Restaurant, Cai Shen Ye Seafood Stew Restaurant, Ma Qing Kang South Sky Cafe.
Heisha Huan: A Brother's Delicious Food
Taipa: Hei Lian Coffee, Eslite Coffee, Andrew's Road Central Branch, Ya Qi Garden Restaurant.
1️⃣Ma Qingkang South Heaven Cafe
Always queuing, even when there is a significant decrease in visitors during off-season, it still requires queuing!
🔥Must-try: BBQ pork with double eggs rice, crispy fried squid, scrambled egg with beef and rice noodles, Hong Kong-style milk tea.
.
2️⃣ Ze Xian Ji
Also a must-try for those who love queuing: "Portuguese egg tarts with egg waffles". The egg waffle has a super crispy outer layer, and when you bite into it, you'll taste the rich and creamy Portuguese egg tart filling! They also come in flavors like coffee, caramel, cheese, salted egg yolk, purple sweet potato, and taro paste.
.
3️⃣Jinli Restaurant
What most people recommend here are the Chicken and Shrimp with Double Sauce and the Curry Beef Brisket Rice. The curry is really fragrant and rich, and the soup base will give you a stunning feeling! Be sure to pair it with their homemade spicy sauce! Absolutely amazing!
.
4️⃣Bailemen Noodle Shop
After 5pm, the store will be closed, so if you want to eat, you have to come early! We recommend the pork chop with oil noodles and beef with noodles. The noodles are very fragrant with added pork oil, and they go well with curry sauce.
.
5️⃣ Rongji Beef Offal
Macau's beef offal is all amazing, but I have a special fondness for this one! I love their spicy sauce, and you have to add noodles to cook with it!

One of the beautiful and artistic hotels in Macau.
Such friendly staffs from their Reception attendant to their Pool Attendant. Their In Room Dining Services were exeptional, they had a funny staff that made jokes while they were preparing our meal.
Overall they all did a great service. Too bad they missed my birthday, but I guess I expected too much

Macao Cuisine: Eat Japanese-style Peruvian food at the Ms. MGM
for the first time to eat Japanese Peruvian cuisine. It is the Yaji Restaurant at the MGM MGM Hotel in Macau. The sushi bar can be seen by the chef to make sashimi and sushi, and the bar offers Peruvian traditional Pisco and Japanese sake.
Snacks are prawn-headed shrimp heads and shrimp with black mint sauce, soft and savory and not spicy, as well as soft and delicious fried potato and beef balls. Salad is an emerald crabmeat with a yellow pepper, salmon roe, black crispy rice and avocado.
and the Tatar Tower use Japanese Kagoshima beef, add Shanghai bile sauce, quail egg yolk, and traditional bread from the Peruvian Andes, first simmer with a squirt and then open the bread, join the taitata to eat.
Peru is rich in seafood. There are thousands of ways to marinate seafood. The northern pickled seafood has mackerel, octopus and scallops. It should be paired with the taste of savory tiger milk.
After a 50-hour slow-cooking Japanese and beef sirloin, you can easily cut it with a fork. The most important thing is the entrance!

MGM Macau: Asia's first diversified dynamic theater
As long as you come to Macau to play, the M Lion MGM Hotel is definitely a red card. The MGM Theatre is Asia's first diversified dynamic theater. We watched the extreme performance "FUERZA BRUTA WAYRA" in Argentina. The 360-degree stage is immersive. The audience has to follow the scene to switch around. The surprises brought by the performers continue to stimulate the senses. Let you scream and scream!
A man in a white suit, running on a giant treadmill or stumbling or confused, when he walks up the six-meter-high stairs and jumps down and breaks through the oncoming obstacles, thrilling scenes asphyxia.
The sky pool is sometimes high and high, but it is falling from the sky. It can be touched by hand. The beauty performers on the top of the head are beautiful, and the dreamy beauty is constantly created by water waves. The visual impact is very strong...

Macau's top-rated hotel
is like a giant art gallery. The hotel's artistic atmosphere is strong. The collection covers ancient and modern things. It has more than 300 top-quality works and is one of the largest permanent art collections in Macau. .
Starting from the hotel lobby, my sister saw paintings and sculptures such as "The Light of the Light", "Macau Eight Views Series", "Wanwusheng" and "Guangxi Travel Notes" to understand the artist's creative ideas and implications.
There are 28 collections of carpets in the Qing Dynasty. They were used as the Chinese imperial carpets for the decoration of the Forbidden City in Beijing during the Qing Dynasty. They have the story and meaning of the Emperor Qianlong.
MGM Theatre's "Night Travels 2" is a landscape work created by artist Yang Yongliang in digital form. It perfectly presents the landscape of the mountains and the city. I did not expect the combination of industrialized cities and landscapes, but surprisingly natural harmony, like Chinese ink painting. Work.

Prior to this, the "Megaome" brand has always been a label for entertainment, fun, and art. This time, I have to add a significant label to her for the special event - foodie. A hotel with nine restaurants offering different flavors of delicacies can be seen in the beauty of the lion MGM.
This is the most amazing to my "mouth" taste buds, is the main Japanese-style Peruvian cuisine "Yaji" and exquisite Sichuan cuisine "". In addition to fresh ingredients and delicious taste, these two can leave a deep impression on me, and also incorporate a lot of bold creative elements into many of the dishes.
Yajis favorite is the He Niu He He in Figure 4. Its the shape of the egg that is often eaten by the cow. It is eaten with sea urchin, quail eggs and fire toast. It can be said that The palate is quite amazing and pays a lot for this unique idea of chef.
There are also many dishes that are infused with the eye-catching sun, which sparks my infinite imagination. After a deep understanding of the chef, I found out that such a simple trick is also integrated into the story of many chefs and restaurants.
On the table of the Peruvians on weekdays, every meal will basically be accompanied by a sun egg. Incorporating such elements into the restaurant's dishes, I hope that the guests will have a better understanding of the Japanese-style Peruvian cuisine culture, and invisibly convey the Peruvian chef's full of homesickness.
The favorite of the road is the pot tofu in Figure 1. This piece of tofu, which looks like a mahjong, was hand-grinded by the master himself. And it also incorporates the minced chicken breast, which is crispy and soft, and the tofu taste is quite rich, which is also my heart.
In the past, for Sichuan cuisine, it is often stuck in the impression of spicy and bright color. This time, the experience in the martyrdom, I have seen that Sichuan cuisine can also have many innovative ways of combining.
They can also pay great attention to the choice of ingredients like Cantonese cuisine. They can also be blended with different raw materials from all over the world without losing the taste of Sichuan cuisine. Such bold and rich innovations have become the most obsessive memories of my trip to Macau.

The hotel industry has developed more and more attention to its combination with art and lifestyle. A good hotel, inevitably, also has exquisite works of art, which deserves a detailed experience and recollection.
Compare the Mia MGM hotel to an art palace, which is not an exaggeration. Entering the VIP lobby here is like going through the millennium to China's Ming and Qing Dynasties. The overall design and color tone are quite impressive and have a charm, so I was deeply intoxicated when I first stepped in, completely forgotten the check in this matter.
Look at the fine carpets on the wall again and again, it seems to be showing us and telling stories about those years. Worried about not getting a deep understanding of the essence? Don't worry, just ask the front desk, you can arrange a special tour (Cantonese, Mandarin, English, etc.) according to the time of the day, to visit and explain the essence of the hotel.
When I stepped into the hotel's central Plaza, I found myself crossing into the most fashionable, avant-garde and technologically modern society. This wide plaza can be described as the integration of many beautiful art into all kinds of technology and entertainment facilities. In such an environment, it seems to be immersed in an art + technology + digital palace, irritability is no longer!

There are many treasured artworks in the interior that are worthy of a stopover. No matter what corner is suitable for concave shape, it is definitely one of Macau's new landmarks! When you go out for a walk in the evening, the visual impact is very strong. The appearance of the hotel echoes the golden lion sculpture. Its so close to the feel~ The rooms are very spacious and bright, and the environmental awareness is very strong. This is to be praised. The room is not equipped with bathrobes.
