You can also visit Merdeka Square. There is an entrance fee, and foreigners seem to need to buy a card on their first visit. I spent 50k in total. I went for a walk in Derkade Square in Malaysia wearing elephant pants. The weather was really hot and humid, but I still enjoyed the walk itself. Merdeka Square is the central square of the city. It measures one square kilometer or 75 hectares, making it one of the biggest squares in the world. It has lawns, fountains, gardens and monuments (the most famous and recognizable of all is the so-called "Monas" -- a 132 meter high obelisk-looking structure with a museum in the basement and a viewing deck on the top).
