There are many shops and food stalls along the river, and it was very crowded even on weekdays. The wait time for Starbucks is 5 and a half hours. Meguro River is 2km long, so you can get there by a lot of train stops. Get off at Nakmeguro for food and shopping. There are a lot of shops and eateries lining the canal here, and the trees line the river with their branches hanging over the river. The Meguro River illuminations are nearer the Osaki and Golanda train stations. This is interesting spot for Sakura blossom viewing. I was there when the blossom was just opening up. Nevertheless it was already really crowded with Sakura viewers. I choose to start from the very beginning, close Meguro Yamanote station, so it took me some time before I reached the Naka Meguro station area which can be considered as the centre point of all (Sakura) activities. It was nice walk alongside the Meguro river gradually becoming busier and busier. Great location during Sakura season. #givethanks #givethanks
