"Phra Borommathat Suea at Wat Phra Borommathat Suea", Amphoe Suea, Chumphon Province
This chedi is one of the 4 most important and sacred chedis in the South.
🌞 Our group came to wrap the chedi with cloth since 5 am. The abbot opened the temple door for us. We were greeted by the first light + the golden chedi, very beautiful. The orange sky welcomed the morning light. I must say that no one gets this picture because the temple doors usually open around 8 am. I must say that this is a rare image.
Stop by and take a walk at Suai Train Station.

Popular Sawi Topics
Today at my house, there is a coconut shell competition.
Southern way of life, using monkeys to climb coconuts is normal. When free from work, the owner will bring the monkeys to compete in climbing coconuts.
Today, it is held at the temple grounds. Two areca palms are planted at the same size. Pull the pulley to lift the coconuts to the top of the pole. Then blow the whistle to signal the monkeys to go up and collect them. Whichever side can finish all the coconuts first wins.
There are coconuts with 3, 4, 5 pieces, depending on the competition. There are many types of monkeys, small, medium, large. Don't even mention their speed. It's hard to keep up.
The cheering section is also fun. The villagers can sell their products. The locals have income. Money is donated to the temple and schools. It depends on where the competition is held. It is not animal cruelty like the Westerners who banned Thai coconut milk. It is "the villagers' way of life, a community game."

For those who travel to Chumphon or travel south, stopping by to pay homage to Phra Borommathat Suwi, a temple that is a symbol of Chumphon city, is considered a very auspicious thing to do on your trip. _
We really like this place. It is a very peaceful and clean temple. The chedi is beautiful. The surrounding area is constantly being restored. Outside, there is a shrine to Phra Suea Mueang, who is responsible for taking care of the chedi since the Ayutthaya period. The temple is next to the Suwi River. You can cross the bridge to take pictures.
Outside, there are flowers, incense, and candles provided by the temple, which can be donated to the temple according to your faith. If you come in the morning, sometimes there will be locals selling vegetables, fruits, and products from the locals' gardens. They are fresh and inexpensive. #Chumphon, a must-visit city #Chumphon #Wat Phra Borommathat Suwi #Suwi

Wat Phra Borommathat Suwi, Chumphon
Phra Borommathat Suwi is located at Wat Phra Borommathat Suwi and is registered as one of the ancient sites in Chumphon Province. From the evidence, it is assumed that it was built in the Ayutthaya period. Whenever we pass through Chumphon Province, we stop to pay homage every time. The temple looks peaceful and shady. There are bells for children to walk around and ring, which is another way to help them like visiting temples and worshiping Buddha.
The temple is open for worship every day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
For those traveling through Chumphon Province and wanting to worship and ask for blessings,

📞Hello Hello, I heard it and answered.
Come wake me up at 5am🕰 If you stay at Kan-Eng Homestay, which is the closest homestay to Doi Tapang, Sawi District, Chumphon Province, if it is closer, it is a tent site.
We contacted to book a pickup truck up the mountain with the owner of the homestay, who is also the village headman, for 600 baht per vehicle. There are two sections in the front, but sitting in the back, there are two rows of wooden poles. Sitting is great... The road is not a road, hold on tight, passing through the villagers' gardens, especially coconut gardens.
The sun came as planned, floating slowly above the sea of fog, then sipping coffee at the windy lawn, enjoying the panoramic view until the sun started to get strong, then returning to the accommodation.
Doi Tapang does not allow you to drive your own car up, so hire one because the road is not good at all.
Wat Phra Borommathat Sawi, Chumphon
Phra That Sawi, also known as Phra Borommathat Sawi, is located in Moo 1, Ban Wat Sawi, Sawi Subdistrict, Sawi District, Chumphon Province. This stupa is influenced by the design of Phra Mahathat Chedi Nakhon Si Thammarat, leading to the assumption that it was built during the Ayutthaya period. The temple holds significant importance in both Buddhism and Thai history, as it houses the Phra Borommathat Sawi and has been standing for over 700 years. It has been registered as an ancient monument in Chumphon Province.
Wat Phra Borommathat Suwi, Chumphon
Wat Phra Borommathat Suwi, Chumphon Province
🙏This is a pagoda influenced by the style of the Phra Mahathat Chedi of Nakhon Si Thammarat. It is therefore assumed to have been built in the Ayutthaya period. It is a 14.25-meter-high pagoda with a square base 8.50 meters wide on each side. There are elephant and giant arches and a staircase leading up to the east. The upper floor is surrounded by Buddha arches, followed by a bell-shaped pagoda decorated with gold mosaic tiles and small pagodas at the four corners.
💐According to legend, King Sri Dharmasokarat led his army to Suwi District and encountered a strange event. A flock of crows flew and landed on a pile of bricks, squealing and flapping their wings. When the pile of bricks was removed, the base of the pagoda and the relics of the Lord Buddha were found. He ordered the pagoda to be restored and celebrated for 7 days and 7 nights, and named this pagoda “Phra That Kawi Pik”.
🙏The legend also tells that before King Sri Dharmasokarat led his army back, he called for soldiers who volunteered to stay and take care of the pagoda. It so happened that a soldier named “Nai Mueang” volunteered. His Majesty ordered the head of the Nai Mueang to be cut off as an offering to the spirit guarding the chedi forever. A shrine was built called “San Phra Suea Mueang”, which is currently located in front or to the east of Phra That Suea.

Ao Kram, Chomphon Province
Located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand in Amphoe Sawi, Chumphon Province,
There is a small and quiet fishing community hidden
amidst nature.
In addition to fresh seafood,
there is also a community lifestyle where you can experience the unique fishing method, "Squid Fishing".
It is a unique method of catching squid in the community.
Using bamboo poles to stretch nets in the middle of the sea.
Above the water surface, there is another set of bamboo poles between the poles.
Similar to a beam, used to hang lanterns to lure squid, shrimp, crabs, and fish to play with the fire.
Every day, the fishermen here will sail out
to hang lanterns, leaving them in the evening.
And will return to lift the basket again in the late evening.

Koh Matra, Chumphon Archipelago National Park
Koh Matra is an island in the Chumphon Archipelago National Park. It is a fairly large island with rock formations all around it. It is considered another good snorkeling spot in Chumphon because it still has a complete and beautiful coral reef.
For the trip, when we went, we rented a tour boat from the locals near our accommodation, which was converted from a fishing boat. The boat owners were very friendly and took us to see here and there along the way. #Island #Koh Matra #Chumphon Archipelago National Park

👍It is a small fishing community by the sea. Most of the villagers are local fishermen, catching squid, shrimp, shellfish, crabs, fish, living in harmony with nature and the sea.
🌊The accommodation is a traditional raised wooden house with a tiled roof, lined up by the sea, close to the mountains and trees growing along the cliff. There is a wide balcony where you can sit and relax in the evening, watch the beautiful sunset. At night, there are activities such as taking a boat to catch fresh squid in the sea and watching the glowing squid. There are also kayaking and boat trips to see the islands.

Klong Hin Dam Grand Canyon, Sawi District, Chumphon Province
#Flying with trip #Traveling to Chumphon #Sawi District #Traveling in Thailand #Grand Canyon of Thailand
Khlong Hin Dam Grand Canyon, Sawi District is located right at Wat Khlong Hin Dam. It should actually be a canal, but it is a stone pillar that has been eroded by water until it becomes a canal. It is about 3 meters high, and in some places it is 5 meters high. I don't know how high the water will be during the flood.
But I feel that it is really amazing, very unseen. There will be stairs for us to walk down below. Be careful not to slip because the water is very strong. But the water is clear and cool, and the air is good.
Outside, there is a cliff. I don't know if it is natural or man-made, but it seems that it is not taken care of. The grass has grown and covered it all, so it doesn't look nice.

Driving along the Chumphon sea, traveling along until we came across the shrine of Kromluang Chumphon, but saw a viewpoint, so let's take a look.
The viewpoint of Sai Ree Beach, but it's probably not popular, so it's deserted. We can see the sea view, but the beach is starting to block the view from the trees.
Let's go back to pay respects to His Majesty the King. The sound of firecrackers is loud for a long time. The way up is quite steep, but there are few people, so it's not difficult. The parking lot upstairs is quite spacious.
The shrine is in the middle, facing the sea. There is a firecracker zone at the back, next to the mountain. As for us, after paying respects and asking for blessings from His Majesty the King, we continued our journey.
