So It is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude (alpine) lakes in Eurasia. I always loved swimming in the cool water of Sevan, it was one of my favorite destinations in Armenia since I was a child. Now every time when I stand on the shore of the lake, it brings up a lot of good and warm childhood memories. Sevan: Navy Blue Water Lake

Where: Lake Sevan, Gegharkunik, Armenia This lake is absolutely clear and transparent. In Summer it looks like navy blue. Surrounded by mountains it has a perfect view to the horizon. There are public and private beaches where you can swim. If you want less crowded area then better go to Shorzha area.
