[Tomoebuchi] The place where Tomoe Gozen is said to have swam
#QuintessaCampaign
At the recommendation of the guide at Yoshinaka-kan, we strolled around the surrounding historical sites.
It's pretty compact.
First off, we went to Tomoe-buchi, where Tomoe Gozen is said to have swam!
It's truly breathtakingly beautiful.
The cries of the wild birds make you think you're in the middle of the Amazon, and they're mystical.
The people around here have different skin tones because the water and air are different.
[Grave of Kiso Yoshinaka and Tomoe Gozen] The bond between the two
#QuintessaCampaign
Right next to Yoshinaka Mansion is Tokuonji Temple, where the graves of Kiso Yoshinaka, Tomoe Gozen, and the Four Heavenly Kings are located.
Yoshinaka ascended to Kyoto from the mountains of Kiso with his childhood friends, and rose to the rank of Shogun.
Perhaps the reason he is loved forever by the people of his hometown is because he treasured the bonds he formed with his friends.
[Yoshinakakan] An enthusiastic guide!
#QuintessaCampaign
Yoshinakakan is located at Miyanokoshi Station, two stations from Kiso-Fukushima Station. There are many historical sites related to Yoshinaka and Tomoe Gozen in the surrounding area, and it serves as a tourist information center.
The guide is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and a beautiful woman like Tomoe Gozen, so it's definitely worth going!

Komagatake Cable Car
There are 18 Komagatake in Japan. Two of them, Kai Komagatake and Kiso Komagatake, are located in the Japanese Alps. They are located in the east and west of the mountain. Kiso Komagatake, located in the west, is relatively close to the public. There is a cable car station from Shirahidaira Station at the foot of the mountain to Senjoshiki Station, the highest cable car station in Japan. The view of the Senjoshiki Valley at the top of the mountain is 10,000 meters high. Formed 5,000 years ago by glacial erosion, the valley is surrounded by mountains on three sides and the peaks are within easy reach. The valley nourishes up to 150 species of alpine plants. In autumn, the maple leaves adorn the mountains, making the scenery of Kiso-Koma-dake even more spectacular. The 40-minute walking trail allows you to easily capture the maple leaves in the valley. Of course, you can also choose to climb to the top to overlook the magnificent maple scenery formed by the continuous peaks.

A great place for the whole family to enjoy during the summer holidays! Kiso Toy Museum
#DomesticTravel
During the Obon holidays, I went to the Kiso Toy Museum with my nephew and niece. The facility is a former Kurokawa Elementary School that was closed down, and the nostalgic atmosphere surrounded by forest is somehow nostalgic. Inside the elementary school (Taikennouyakata), there are exhibits of folk tools and toys that you can learn about history. The long corridors and wooden buildings may feel fresh for children and nostalgic for adults. "Omochannouyakata" has many wooden toys, and is an area where children can touch and play with them and enjoy themselves. Inside the museum, there is the Museum Cafe Shiki, where you can also eat lunch! 📝Please note that the last order for meals is at 2 p.m.⚠️We brought our lunch boxes and had lunch in the courtyard outside under the parasol. It was fun, like we were on an excursion🤗The cafe is nice, but I also recommend bringing your lunch box and eating outside. It's cooler than the city center, so it wasn't a problem even in summer. Summer vacation is almost over! Please come and visit with your family 🎵 Recommended Spots 📍 Kiso Toy Museum Address: 6959 Shinkai, Kiso-machi, Kiso-gun, Nagano 397-0002 Hours: Toy Museum 10:00-16:00 (last entry 15:30) Museum Cafe Shiki 11:00-15:00 (last meal order 14:00) Cost: Adults (junior high school students and above) 800 yen Children (1 year old to elementary school students) 600 yen Free for children under 1 year old Recommended points: Nursing rooms and diaper changing spaces available. ⚠ Caution: During the summer vacation period (reservations required until August 31st) Be sure to check the website for the latest information!

Walking around Senjojiki Cirque and climbing Mt. Kiso-Koma
This time we have two things to cover!
① You can go even in sneakers! Walking around Senjojiki Cirque
And
② You need to prepare for the climb, but you can enjoy the spectacular views
Climbing Mount Kiso-Koma
The walking trails around Senjojiki Cirque are well maintained, so sneakers are OK!
I heard that Tsurugaike Pond looks even more beautiful on a sunny day, so I'd like to see the view on a sunny day too!
We have introduced hiking courses for beginners and intermediate and above!
I have detailed notes on the images, so please read them, and there are some points of caution that I can't write here, so please research them beforehand before you go!
Please go on hiking courses at your own risk.
⚠️If you haven't climbed many mountains, don't go on the intermediate course just out of curiosity! If you get lost, it will cost a huge amount of money to rescue you.
If you are an intermediate or above climber who is used to climbing, the scenery is beautiful, so please go.

Hotel Hilltop in Nagano Prefecture
This is the hotel I stayed at when I participated in the Nagano marathon. I was surprised to find it in the mountains, but it was full of nature and it was great. *ˊᵕˋ* It feels like a lodge. There were lots of birds on display and it was lovely. The Shiba Inu they kept was also cute. It was raining the day we went and we had planned to do some stargazing, but unfortunately we couldn't. I wish we could have seen the stars. There is WiFi, washing machine, microwave, etc. Some plans also include meals. There aren't many restaurants around. I'd like to go again when it's sunny, even if there's no race. #Nagano #WithKotori #EnjoyingNature
