A great place for the whole family to enjoy during the summer holidays! Kiso Toy Museum

#DomesticTravel During the Obon holidays, I went to the Kiso Toy Museum with my nephew and niece. The facility is a former Kurokawa Elementary School that was closed down, and the nostalgic atmosphere surrounded by forest is somehow nostalgic. Inside the elementary school (Taikennouyakata), there are exhibits of folk tools and toys that you can learn about history. The long corridors and wooden buildings may feel fresh for children and nostalgic for adults. "Omochannouyakata" has many wooden toys, and is an area where children can touch and play with them and enjoy themselves. Inside the museum, there is the Museum Cafe Shiki, where you can also eat lunch! 📝Please note that the last order for meals is at 2 p.m.⚠️We brought our lunch boxes and had lunch in the courtyard outside under the parasol. It was fun, like we were on an excursion🤗The cafe is nice, but I also recommend bringing your lunch box and eating outside. It's cooler than the city center, so it wasn't a problem even in summer.
