I chose the XX hotel located in the city center, which is convenient for transportation and there are many delicious food and shopping places nearby. 🌟 Day 2: The Palace Museum & Jingshan Park 🌄 In the morning, go to the Palace Museum, admire the Forbidden City with red walls and yellow tiles, and shoot the autumn colors of ginkgo. It is recommended to book tickets online in advance to avoid queuing. In the afternoon, go to Jingshan Park, climb high and overlook Beijing and the central axis of the Forbidden City, and take beautiful photos. The autumn scenery of Jingshan Park is very beautiful, and you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the entire Beijing city. In the evening, go to Shichahai and tour the autumn colors of the hutongs. The hutongs near Shichahai are full of the flavor of old Beijing, as if they have traveled through time. 🌟 Day 3: Zhongshan Park & Yuyuantan Park & Summer Palace 🌄 In the morning, go to Zhongshan Park, admire the Ginkgo Avenue, and take beautiful photos. #timetotravel After we finished roaming around the Forbidden City, we kind of just followed the crowed that was heading to somewhere and they lead us to Jingshan Park. At first we thought it was just a common Chinese park to chillax but.. nope, you can actually climb up to the pavillion that offers you the view of the Forbidden City from above. That was quite a surprise to us which we really enjoyed. We also took the chance to take some photos in a Chinese tradition clothes with extra cost. We came here a few years back, before the pandemic so I am not sure of the entrance fee. Just double check on their website. I think you need a reservation now. Getting There - I took Metro Line 7 from DaJiaoTing Station to CiQuKou where I changed to Line 5 and got off at DongSi Station. From there I too bus number 128 to ShengWuMen and walked to the ticket station at the South Gate of JingShan Park. Attractions - So many beautiful places to take pictures inside the park, but the highlight is getting to the top and seeing The Forbidden City in its full glory. Take in the views over the Forbidden City across the street at Jingshan park. It's cheap entry with a short walk to the top. Take your time on the way up the hill, it's pretty picturesque with views of the whole city. It gets super crowded so it may take a while before you manage to work your way to the front of the crowd to catch the view. Nestled away behind the Forbidden City/Beijing Palace is a beautiful park. We visited in April 2019 which was right in the middle of Spring so all the flowers were in bloom. There were some beautiful displays all perfectly cultivated a styled it was a joy to wander around. Although we passed a lot of people the park never felt crowded. It is also a fantastic spot to gaze down in to the Forbidden City if you don't want to brave the crazy crowds. The view from the Wanchun Pavilion is wonderful. It was only mildly smogy on the day we visited so it felt like we could see for miles and mile in every direction. There are plenty of panic areas in the park, but we picked up snacks from the little kiosk at the entry gate and munched as we walked around. Trying to stave off the jetlag. We did stop for tea and biscuits at a beautiful little teahouse somewhere near the west gate. It was so peaceful sitting in the courtyard watching people pass by and the tea was delicious. On our way out we got caught up amongst some flat twirlers. All the children were joining in so being young at heart we decided to give it a go as well. Lets just say my coordination must have still been wandering around the park because i ended up wrapped in the flag more than twirling it. But it made people laugh so not at all a bad thing. This was a perfect first day on our China visit. #gooutside

We hit this one at the end of a long day, got one of those candy strawberry treats that I can’t spell to keep going! My friend who took me was so excited, said it’s his favourite view in the city and I see why! Truly amazing, especially seeing one side, a much older side, of the city and then the newer side in the same place. There was a rather large crowd but with everything if you wait a second most people will move shortly, unfortunately some people had set up tripods and weren’t planning on moving anytime soon so you just have to work around them. If you get there a bit before sunset you should walk around the park a bit it’s a beautiful park especially with golden hour.

As soon as it snows in Beijing, you should wrap yourself in your warmest coat and head to Jingshan Park to see the historic Forbidden City (故宫) covered in snow. Situated directly north of the Forbidden City, Jingshan park is the only hill in Beijing (it was man made with the soil that was excavated when creating the moat around the Forbidden City). It is the best place to oversee the old imperial city. Be careful when climbing the many stairs to the pagoda on top of the hill as not only are they icy, they may be crowded. Be prepared to use your elbows to get an advantageous viewpoint to take your photo of the snowy buildings (totally worth it). You may even be lucky enough to have clear blue skies and a view all the way to the surrounding mountains. Afterwards, take the time to walk around the moat of the Forbidden city as the frozen water and snowy snowscape provide beautiful photo opportunities.

Jing Shan Park, and central hill of Jing Shan Park, Beijing, the bright Capital of The People's Republic of China. The climbing will take no more than ten or fifteen minutes but it will be full of impressions. On the way to the central pavilion at the top of hill where emperor would like to have rest watching his own land there are small pavilions from the both sides of the both paths. Yes there are two paths going to the top from two opposite sides. Green treas and evergreen pines are accompanying visitors all the time. The gree npath is a route for walking in Jing Shan Park around the hill with observation deck. The tall and old trees stand Luke's soldiers along the road, probably, in ancient time their function was not only beautify landscape and clean air, but also give the feeling of protection to the restless emperor, it is really looks like a soldiers standing without any move and providing the corridor for passing through. 景山公园 or Jing Shan Park ,aka Emperor summer residence. Beijing. And it is located straight in front of Forbidden City gates, just need to across the road and you are in this beautiful park. Jing Shan Park or Jing Mountain Park is especially charming during the summer. The visit will require about two hours to walk slowly around and to climb the hill. This is the best place to visit if you want to see the view of the Forbidden City from the top. Overlooking. Sunrise or Sunset the view is just amazing to look at.
