When you come to Jianshui, you must come and see the only two seventeen-hole bridges in the country.
There are only two seventeen-hole bridges in the country
One is in Kunming Lake, Summer Palace, Beijing
This one is in Yingtian Lake, Jianshui, Yunnan
Shuanglong Bridge, commonly known as "Seventeen-hole Bridge",
It was built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1736~1795),
At that time, only three stone bridges were built on the Lujiang River
Later, due to the flooding of the Lujiang and Tachong rivers, the river bed gradually widened
The three-hole bridge is alone in the river and cannot cross the river
The local officials and the people continued to build fourteen holes in the 19th year of Daoguang (1839)
Connected with the original three-hole bridge
The geese teeth are connected and integrated, so they are also called "Seventeen-hole Bridge"
There are pavilions and their bases in the middle
Shuanglong Bridge inherits the characteristics of Chinese bridge architecture
Integrate bridge construction science and modeling art
Condensing the superb technology and wisdom of the people in southern Yunnan
The scale of construction and artistic value are among the best in the country
It occupies an important position in the history of Chinese bridges

Kunming Check-in Photography Trip to Southern Yunnan Jiashui Seventeen-Arch Bridge
🍁Jiashui Seventeen-Arch Bridge, also known as Shuanglong Bridge, is a grand multi-arch bridge. It was initially built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty and later underwent several reconstructions and expansions, making it a seventeen-arch bridge. The bridge body is made of about 500 stone blocks, making it very sturdy. There are also three pavilions built on the bridge. Unfortunately, the three pavilions were destroyed by fire during the Xianfeng period, but they were rebuilt during the Guangxu period, and two pavilions remain to this day.
🍁The design of the bridge is really exquisite, with pavilions within pavilions, and the bridge and pavilions reflecting each other, making it particularly magnificent. The central pavilion is a three-story square main pavilion with a glazed yellow tile roof, which is very splendid. The small pavilion at the southern end is delicate and beautiful, complementing the main pavilion, and is really nice to look at.
🍁At dusk, the setting sun casts its light on the white walls and yellow tiles, the river surface sparkles, and the bridge body and arches are dyed golden. The distant mountains are dark green, and the nearby green willows sway in the wind. The eternal beauty of the ancient bridge is infinitely magnified. Standing quietly by the river, gazing at the flow of people on the ancient bridge, sitting and watching the sunset, the ancient bridge and oneself in perfect harmony.

Who pities my charming eyes?
From the city of Jianshui heading west, it doesn't take long before you see a row of parked cars on both sides of the road and a line of vendors. This is the sign that you have arrived at Shuanglong Bridge. The Shuanglong Bridge spans over the Lujiang River and the Tachong River. It is named after the two rivers that meander and converge here, resembling two dragons. The bridge was initially built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty with only three arches. Later, the Tachong River changed its course, widening the river surface, and thus, fourteen more arches were added during the Daoguang period, making it a seventeen-arch bridge.
Shuanglong Bridge is a typical covered bridge, with a total length of 148 meters. Its ingenious design effectively distributes the load of the bridge, ensuring the stability of the entire structure. For over three hundred years, it has stood firm against the elements. People on the bridge look at those below, and vice versa, creating a unique scenery. Ordinary men and women become part of the picturesque scene here; some are moved emotionally, while others take action—by taking photos.

A Glimpse of History in a Small Town in Southern Yunnan
In the gentle breeze of the setting sun,
I seem to return to China in 1920.
Jianshui, the ancient capital of Lin'an Prefecture, a key town on the Tea Horse Road,
I think its current state is just right,
Commercial development just meets the basic needs of travelers.

Early Spring in Southeast Yunnan - A Riot of Colors Between Heaven and Earth (Part 5): The Seventeen-Arch Bridge of Jianshui
Yunnan's Jianshui is a beautiful and historically significant ancient town. When it comes to the history of Jianshui, everyone thinks of the Shuanglong Bridge.
It is located to the west of the ancient city of Jianshui County in Yunnan Province and is the longest existing ancient stone arch bridge in China, one of the famous historical sites in Yunnan Province, and has been included in the annals of Chinese bridge construction. It is known as the 'Number One Ancient Bridge in the East.'
The Seventeen-Arch Bridge is also called the Shuanglong Bridge, named after the confluence of the Tachong and Lujiang rivers, where a bridge locks the 'twin dragons' together.
Another explanation is that there are two stone-carved dragon heads and tails on either side of the bridge.
The dragon head is above the stream, and the dragon tail is below the stream, both carved vividly, hence the name Shuanglong Bridge.
The Shuanglong Bridge was first built during the Jiaqing period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than six hundred years. It belongs to the covered bridge architecture. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, only three stone arches were built on the Lujiang River. Later, due to the flooding of the Tachong and Lujiang rivers and the gradual widening of the riverbed, the small three-arch bridge stood alone in the middle of the river and could not span both banks. Thus, fourteen more arches were added in the nineteenth year of the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty.
Three flying-eave style pavilions were built in the middle of the bridge, with pavilions within pavilions, reflecting each other, forming a magnificent view, and is an extremely precious masterpiece in the history of Chinese bridge construction.
The pavilions at both ends are slightly smaller, with a large and spectacular one in the middle, known as the 'Dian Nan Grand View Pavilion.'
Time flies, and the Seventeen-Arch Bridge has stood over the two rivers for nearly 300 years. If you come to Jianshui, be sure to visit here, stroll on the smooth stone pavement, touch the mottled bridge railings, this bridge with extraordinary momentum, beautiful design, and the wisdom of Chinese national culture, will not disappoint you.
(About one kilometer away from the Seventeen-Arch Bridge, there is a motorhome campsite. As long as you stay for more than 4 days, the average cost is 30 yuan per day, including water and electricity. Staying there for a few days, watching the sunrise and sunset by the bridge in the morning and evening, will surely be a poetic experience!)

The Seventeen-Arch Bridge of Jianshui
The Seventeen-Arch Bridge is the colloquial name for the Shuanglong Bridge, located in Baijiaying Village, Xizhuang Town, Jianshui County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It spans the confluence of the Lujiang River and the Tachong River, hence the name Shuanglong Bridge, which means 'a bridge locking two dragons'. The Shuanglong Bridge was originally built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. At that time, only a three-arch stone bridge was built over the Lujiang River. Later, due to the flooding of the Lujiang and Tachong rivers, the Tachong River dike in the southwest broke, and the river water rushed towards the village not far from the bridge. The flood was fierce, and the village suffered severe damage, which was later named Shuidaying Village. Now, Shuidaying Village belongs to Baijiaying Administrative Village, Xizhuang Town, Jianshui County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The Tachong River changed its course and merged into the Lujiang River, which also widened the river surface by three to four times. The originally built three-arch stone bridge was left hanging in the middle of the river. In the 19th year of the Daoguang period, fourteen more arches were built and connected to the original three arches, making a total of seventeen arches. Locals call the Shuanglong Bridge the Seventeen-Arch Bridge. From a distance, it looks like a ship with pavilions, and from close up, it resembles a long rainbow lying on the waves. There are three flying eave-style pavilions built on the bridge, with the two at the ends being slightly smaller and the one in the middle being large and spectacular. The Shuanglong Bridge is about 150 meters long, a single-arch bridge. The bridge is constructed with six large wooden pillars, with wooden planks laid on the bridge deck, wooden pillars erected, and a tiled roof, forming a long corridor in the air. On May 25, 2006, the Shuanglong Bridge was announced by the State Council of the People's Republic of China as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
🚉 Transportation Strategy:
The Shuanglong Bridge is located in Shuidaying Natural Village, Baijiaying Administrative Village, Xizhuang Town, Jianshui County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is about 12 kilometers from Jianshui Station to Shuanglong Bridge, which takes about 20 minutes.
⏳ Visiting Time:
Free to visit, the recommended visiting time is 30 minutes to 1 hour.

The Jianshui Seventeen-Arch Bridge, anchoring the twin dragons to contain the calamitous waters
The Twin Dragon Bridge, located 5 li west of the ancient city of Jianshui in Yunnan Province, is a large stone arch bridge with three pavilions and seventeen arches, commonly known as the 'Seventeen-Arch Bridge'. In Chinese geomancy, it is customary to refer to rivers or mountain ranges as 'dragons'. The Tachong and Lujiang rivers converge here, and the bridge is named for its function of 'anchoring the twin dragons'. In the middle of the bridge stands a three-story pavilion, and at one end there is a pavilion. The bridge is built of huge stones, with a total length of 148.26 meters and a width of 3 meters, looking from afar like a ship with pavilions.

Yunnan Jianshui Two Days and One Night
Transportation: Self-driving
Accommodation: Inside Jianshui Ancient Town
Itinerary:
1️⃣ Narrow-gauge Train: The only privately-operated railway still in operation in our country, and also the only century-old narrow-gauge train, full of retro Republican style. The train is mainly wooden structured, making it very photogenic. There are four stops along the train's route, and it will stop for a while at each station for passengers to enjoy the sights. If you only want to take photos and do not wish to ride the train or deal with the crowds at each stop, you can follow the train's route by car. After the train stops and the passengers go to visit the attractions, you can get on the train to take photos with fewer people and without a ticket.
2️⃣ Shuanglong Bridge: Also known as the Seventeen-Arch Bridge, it is Jianshui's favorite structure, very quaint and historical. At sunset, the golden light on the bridge is stunning.
3️⃣ Tuanshan Residence: A group of ancient Ming and Qing buildings in Yunnan, a 600-year-old village, with an entrance fee of 35 yuan. Many villagers still live in the old houses, which are basically unrenovated, so they can be described as a bit rundown or authentically original.
4️⃣ Zhu Family Garden: The largest private garden in southern Yunnan, belonging to the Zhu family, the richest family in the area during the Qing Dynasty. Covering an area of more than 20,000 square meters, it is very large and you can spend a whole morning wandering around.
5️⃣ Zitao Street: Thought to be a place selling purple pottery, but it is actually a night market for food, quite lively at night.
6️⃣ Buy Purple Pottery: There are many shops selling purple pottery in Jianshui Ancient Town. Ask around and bargain to eventually pick out a teapot you like at a satisfactory price.
7️⃣ Jianshui Ancient Town: Like many ancient towns, it has Yiwu goods, a Confucian temple, an imperial examination hall, a government office, and many snacks. Stroll and eat to your heart's content.
Delicacies:
1️⃣ Jianshui Barbecue: Delicious, with a particularly good sauce.
2️⃣ Rice Noodles: All kinds of rice noodles are delicious, fried rice noodles, grass sprout rice noodles, must have a bowl every day.
3️⃣ Jianshui Tofu: Personally, I don't think it's as good as coated tofu.

Day 8 of the 2024 Spring Festival Tour: Lin'an Ancient City
At eight o'clock in the morning, it's just a few minutes' walk from Hanting Hotel (Jianshui Ancient City Branch) to Chaoyang Tower. The ancient city streets in the early morning are much quieter without the crowd of last night. Chaoyang Tower opens at eight o'clock to welcome guests, and you can go up to the tower for a view.
From Chaoyang Tower, head west along Lin'an Road, passing through Hanlin Street (Zhu Family Garden), Tianjun Temple (free visit), Xuezheng Examination Hall, Lin'an Prefecture, Jianshui Confucius Temple, etc., taking about 50 minutes with stops.
Then, starting from Jianshui Confucius Temple and heading east, we visited Xuezheng Examination Hall, Zhu Family Garden and other three paid attractions, with the last Zhu Family Garden on Hanlin Street.
These three attractions took about three hours, and we returned to Hanting Hotel at half past twelve.
Plan your trip well in these days, enter the attractions early, otherwise, like us entering Zhu Family Garden at around half past eleven, it was already crowded with people everywhere. Taking a photo also has other people in it. It's noisy everywhere, and when it gets hot, some irritability rises in the heart.
📍Introduction to Jianshui Ancient City
Jianshui Ancient City was built during the Yuanhe period of the Tang Dynasty, i.e., 806-820 AD. It was originally called Butou, also known as Badan, and in the Yi language, it is called 'Huil', which means 'sea' in Yi; 'Li' means 'big', which translates to 'big sea' in Chinese, hence the name Jianshui.
Jianshui Ancient City was originally a earth city built during the Nanzhao period, and was expanded into a brick city in the 20th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1387). When Li Dingguo captured Lin'an City, the three city towers in the south, north and west were destroyed by war. They were repaired again in the fourth year of Kangxi, but were damaged again. Only the East Gate Chaoyang Tower, despite numerous wars and earthquakes, still stands nearly six hundred years later. Jianshui County began to build temple schools in the Yuan Dynasty, built Lin'an Prefecture School in the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, and built Jianshui State Confucian School in the Wanli period. During the Qing Dynasty, four academies, 'Chongzheng, Huanwen, Chongwen, and Qujiang', were established one after another. At that time, it was known as 'half of the list', i.e., about half of the candidates in the Yunnan imperial examination came from Lin'an Prefecture, which was rare in the country. Therefore, Jianshui has always been known as a 'literary state' and 'Zoulu of Southern Yunnan'.
In 1994, Jianshui was approved by the State Council as the third batch of famous historical and cultural cities in China. The ancient city, after 12 centuries of construction, still preserves more than 50 ancient buildings, and is known as the 'Museum of Ancient Architecture' and 'Museum of Folk Houses'. The city has well-preserved and large-scale 'Yunnan's First' Confucius Temple, as well as Chaoyang Tower, Shuanglong Bridge, Zhilin Temple, Zhu Family Garden and a large number of distinctive ancient buildings. There are nearly a hundred ancient temples in the county, and more than 40 in the city alone. These treasures, which have gone through the vicissitudes of life, have considerable historical and artistic value.
✅East Gate Chaoyang Tower
Jianshui East Gate City Tower is the Chaoyang Tower that Jianshui people are proud of. It is recorded in 'Jianshui State Annals': 'The East City Tower, a hundred feet high, is magnificent. Below the city is a market, with thousands of households, endless scenery. The sun rises in the east, and the light is reflected far away. Looking at the city tower from afar, it is like a crane on a slope, like Yueyang, a great view of the south.' Chaoyang Tower has been exposed to wind and rain for more than 600 years, has experienced several wars, and is still intact and standing, becoming a landmark building of Jianshui.
✅Jianshui Confucius Temple
It was built in the 22nd year of Yuan Zhiyuan (1285 AD). 'Yuan History•Zhang Lidaobiography' records: In that year, Zhang Lidaobiography served as the Xuanfu envoy of Yunnan Lin'an Guangxi Road (Xuanfu Division was set up in Jianshui), 'and created a temple school in Jianshui Road'. This is the earliest Confucius Temple he created in the province after the first Confucius Temple in Zhongqing Road (now Kunming City), which was created at the same time as Dali Road. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the location of Lin'an Prefecture School and Jianshui State School. It also once hosted Yuanjiang Prefecture School, becoming the cultural and educational center of Southern Yunnan. Over the past seven hundred years, it has been expanded and rebuilt more than fifty times. Especially in the Ming Dynasty, the head of the Hanlin Academy, Li Yueyuan, brought back the architectural drawings of the Royal Palace of the Confucius Temple in Qufu from the capital, and then rebuilt and expanded it according to the drawings, eventually becoming a large-scale Confucius Temple covering an area of 114 mu (about 76,000 square meters), the largest Confucius Temple in southern China.
✅Xuezheng Examination Hall
The Yunnan Tidu Xuezheng Examination Hall is the place where the highest education administrative official in Yunnan Province, the Tidu Xuezheng, regularly held the college entrance examination for students from Lin'an, Yuanjiang, Kaihua (now Wenshan), and Puer in the southern Yunnan region.
The Xuezheng Examination Hall faces south with a width of more than 40 meters and a depth of 150 meters, covering an area of 6,000 square meters. The buildings are neatly symmetrical, with more than a hundred rooms. The entire building is centered on the corridor, forming six courtyards. The existing buildings are well preserved, with red pillars and grandeur, and are an excellent physical relic for studying the ancient imperial examination system in southwestern China. In 1993, it was announced by the People's Government of Yunnan Province as the fourth batch of key cultural relics protection units. In 2019, it was listed as the eighth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.
The college entrance examination in the Yunnan Tidu Xuezheng Examination Hall is a preparatory examination before the imperial examination. Those who are admitted to the college entrance examination can enjoy generous poetry encounters, enter the national imperial examination selection process, and realize the dream of 'being a country boy in the morning and entering the emperor's hall in the evening'.
In the Yunnan Tidu Xuezheng Examination Hall, there are four exhibition halls: the Mongolian Study Hall, the Jianshui Temple Study Academy Yixue Hall, the Comprehensive Hall, and the Local Hall, which fully display the ancient imperial examination system in China and the local imperial examination culture. At the same time, the Yunnan Tidu Xuezheng Examination Hall Wenfang Qinggong Exhibition Hall and 'Zangxitang' are set up, which display thousands of ancient inkstones from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, as well as a large number of ancient quantities, rubbings, etc., and precious cultural relics such as oracle bone inscriptions, Qin and Han simple books, and ancient simple bamboo slips. Especially the authentic works of Lin'an Prefect Wang Wenzhi, Yunnan Xuezheng Tidu Fu Zhenbang, Qing Dynasty official Wang Wen, and imperial examination champion Yuan Jiagu, will make you linger.
✅Zhu Family Garden
Located in the middle section of Hanlin Street in the center of Jianshui Ancient City, it is a house and ancestral hall built by the local gentry Zhu Weiqing brothers in the late Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of more than 20,000 square meters. The main building is arranged in a 'vertical four horizontal three' layout, which is a typical Jianshui 'three rooms and six ears three rooms hall with rear mountain ears, a large patio with four small patios' parallel and combined residential building group. The courtyards are layered and the houses are lined up. There are 42 large and small patios and 214 rooms, known as the 'Daguan Garden of Southern Yunnan'. Zhu Family Garden is an important part of the national key scenic spot and the national historical and cultural city Jianshui, and is now a national key cultural relics protection unit.

Day 7 of the 2024 Spring Festival Tour: Follow the Jianshui Mini Train Self-Drive: Shuanglong Bridge Station
Originally planned to take a ride on the Jianshui mini train, but the tickets for the mini train are hard to come by, so I completely gave up. Driving along the route of the Jianshui mini train is also an option.
The train starts from Lin'an Station, which is in the city area. There are many people taking the train early in the morning, so I decided not to join the crowd. I chose to go to the second station, Shuanglong Bridge Station, to see the Jianshui Seventeen-Arch Bridge.
Last night, I stayed at the Vienna Hotel (Jianshui High-speed Railway Station Expressway Intersection) in the suburbs of the city. I had a bowl of rice noodles in the morning. I added some mint, and it was my first time eating mint rice noodles. It has a unique taste.
At 8:30 in the morning, it takes about 15 minutes from the hotel to Shuanglong Bridge Station. It does not pass through the city area, the road is smooth, and there is a free parking lot, which is very convenient.
Shuanglong Bridge South Rice Field Market, now planted with rapeseed, it is the season of rapeseed blooming, a golden yellow.
✅Shuanglong Bridge
Located at the confluence of the Hujiang and Tachong rivers west of Jianshui County, Yunnan Province, it is named after the two rivers winding like twin dragons. Known as the 'Daguan Tower of Southern Yunnan', it is one of the famous ancient sites in Yunnan Province.
Shuanglong Bridge is a typical gallery bridge architecture. It was initially built with three holes 5 meters wide, and later fourteen holes 3 meters wide, with a total length of 148 meters, a bridge height and width of 8.6 meters, and a bridge base height of 5.3 meters. Shuanglong Bridge is a single-hole bridge with a span of 13.5 meters. The bridge of the entire bridge is made up of 6 large wooden columns with a diameter of about 60 cm and a length of 25.7 meters. The body of the bridge is built with about 500 flat stones. Round wood is stacked on the base stone as a cantilever, extending crisscross to the middle. The three holes at the north end of the bridge were built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795 AD), and 14 holes were added in the 19th year of the Daoguang period (1839 AD), so it is commonly known as the Seventeen-Arch Bridge. There are three pavilions on the Shuanglong Bridge, south, middle, and north. In the sixth year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1856 AD), the three pavilions were destroyed by war. They were rebuilt in the 22nd year of Guangxu (1896 AD) and completed in the 24th year of Guangxu (1898 AD). In the fifth year of the Republic of China (1917 AD), the Yi nationality Nalou Tusi Pu Juntang led the army to attack Lin'an and failed. When he retreated, he burned the north pavilion of Shuanglong Bridge. The central pavilion is square, with a side length of 16 meters and a height of 20 meters. The upper two floors are covered with a hip roof; the bottom floor is a bridge passage, and there are stairs to climb the building to overlook.
Shuanglong Bridge is the largest and most artistically valuable multi-hole arch bridge in Yunnan Province; it is an important cultural relic for studying the history of ancient Chinese bridge architecture. Shuanglong Bridge inherits the traditional style of Chinese arch bridges, integrates bridge architecture science and modeling art, and is a masterpiece among ancient Chinese bridges. Chinese bridge expert Mao Yisheng listed it as one of the more than ten large stone arch bridges existing in China. In February 1965, it was announced as the first batch of provincial-level cultural relics protection units. In 2003, a special stamp of Shuanglong Bridge was issued, which increased the popularity of Shuanglong Bridge. In May 2006, it was announced as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Visiting the World's Largest Hollow Stone Arch Bridge: Guangxi Shuanglong Bridge
I had long heard that there was a Shuanglong Bridge in Guangxi that was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is the largest existing hollow stone arch bridge in the world, and today I was fortunate enough to come here to see its style. Shuanglong Bridge is located in Longshan Village, Longjiang Township, Yongfu County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The entire bridge is about 60 meters long, about 5 meters wide, and about 20 meters high. It spans the mother river of Yongfu County - Longjiang River, hence the name Shuanglong Bridge. When I came to the bridgehead, the first thing that caught my eye was its piers. The words 'Shuanglong Bridge' were engraved on the piers. The font was vigorous and powerful, and I couldn't help but admire the exquisite craftsmanship of the ancient craftsmen. The piers of Shuanglong Bridge are made of mortar stone structure, which is both sturdy and beautiful. I couldn't help but be impressed by the wisdom of the ancient craftsmen. Then, I walked on the bridge deck and found that the bridge deck was covered with cobblestones. These cobblestones can both serve as decoration and prevent slipping. I looked down at the Longjiang River under the bridge. The river was clear and the bottom was visible. The aquatic plants and stones at the bottom of the river were clearly visible. I seemed to see the ancient people washing clothes and washing rice here, and the children playing here. I couldn't help but immerse myself in this beautiful fantasy. After walking through Shuanglong Bridge, I came to the pavilion at the bridgehead. The pavilion was built to commemorate the merits of bridge construction. It is said that ancient literati often chanted poems here. I walked into the pavilion and found that the walls inside were filled with poems. I couldn't help but be overwhelmed by the talent of the ancient literati. Unconsciously, I have lingered on Shuanglong Bridge for an afternoon. I was deeply attracted by its simplicity and beauty. This ancient bridge that has experienced thousands of years of wind and rain has witnessed the changes of history and carries the wisdom and sweat of the ancient working people. I am proud and proud of our ancestors.

The mountain stops and the river goes, the wind and the grain rise
Jianshui, also known as 'Lin'an', was established around 810 AD. Today's Jianshui is famous for its purple pottery, snacks, barbecue, and cultural tourism in Yunnan and even the whole country.
The Shuanglong Bridge in Jianshui was built during the Qing Dynasty. After its completion, it had seventeen holes, so it was also called the 'Seventeen-hole Bridge'. The bridge body is made of stone blocks, the railings on both sides of the bridge are made of stone strips, and the bridge surface is paved with tens of thousands of large bluestones. After years of historical polishing, the bluestone slabs on the bridge surface are now smooth and shiny, full of historical stories.
The Shuanglong Bridge is located in Lin'an Town, Jianshui County, about 3-4 kilometers from the city center, so it is friendly for shooting the sunrise. If you are a landscape party, it is recommended to shoot the sunrise in the morning. The sunset direction is far from the bridge and you need to prepare a telephoto lens.
If you come to stroll and sightsee, it is suitable all day. Along the river, there are also ancient bridges such as Xianghui Bridge, a century-old railway station, and Jianshui small train (direct to Shiping) for check-in, which are also not to be missed.

The Changhong lying wave double dragon bridge
The Shuanglong Bridge in Jianshui, also known as the Seventeen-hole Bridge, is a Qing Dynasty ancient bridge that can rival the Seventeen-hole Bridge in the Summer Palace in Beijing.
