Changbaishan is one of China's premier ski destinations, offering world-class skiing experiences amidst breathtaking natural surroundings. During our recent trip to Changbaishan, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency, which offered an excellent base for our skiing adventure.
Located at the foot of the Changbai Mountains, the Hyatt Regency boasts a prime location in the heart of Changbaishan International Resort. The hotel features luxurious accommodations, with spacious rooms and suites offering stunning views of the mountains. The hotel's facilities are top-notch, including a spa, fitness center, and several excellent dining options.
Of course, the main attraction during our trip was the skiing, and Changbaishan did not disappoint. The resort boasts over 43 kilometers of ski runs, with something for skiers of all levels, from beginners to experts. The snow quality was excellent, and we were able to enjoy the slopes in relative peace, as the resort is still somewhat undiscovered by international tourists.
One of the highlights of our trip was skiing down the Changbai Grand Canyon, a breathtaking run that took us through a narrow canyon flanked by towering cliffs. Another highlight was the chance to ski on Changbai Mountain itself, one of the most majestic peaks in China.
Overall, our ski trip to Changbaishan was an unforgettable experience, and the Hyatt Regency provided the perfect base for our adventure. If you're looking for world-class skiing in a stunning natural setting, Changbaishan is definitely worth a visit. And if you're looking for a luxurious hotel to stay in while you're there, the Hyatt Regency is an excellent choice.

Changbai Mountain Resort - Hyatt Hotel Stay Experience
I stayed in Changbai Mountain for 4 nights this time. The guest room with two beds was booked through the Double 11 coupon before. Due to the child's illness, I negotiated with the hotel for a delay. Since there is only a deluxe double bed room in the guest house, I upgraded it.
🛏Room facilities:
Standard 5-star configuration, pretty good. Wet and dry separation, the shower room is very large, the water is very comfortable. There is also a humidifier.
🍽Catering recommendation:
1) Breakfast: Although there are not many varieties, it is still okay. I really like tofu pudding, sweet buns, porridge, sesame balls, tea eggs and the like. The three fresh dumplings are also okay.
2) Lunch: The hotel package also includes lunch, the same place as breakfast, 3 sets of meals, enough for 4 people.
3) Dinner: The guest house also provides a simple dinner buffet. Although it is very simple, it is really convenient if you don't want to go out.
4) Guest House, from 1 pm to 9 pm, provides some soft drinks (3, 4 canned drinks and 2 kinds of fruit juice, 3, 4 kinds of snacks, 4 kinds of tea, coffee, 1 kind of red wine and 1 kind of white wine. The things are simpler, but it's quite comfortable to sit. Because it's a night flight, after checking out, the guest house can still be used, but there is no dinner. Very convenient.
📝Note tips:
1) The hotel rooms are divided into left and right sides. This time I live in a room starting with 1, which is farther from the ski resort. I feel that 2 is more convenient. The smaller the room number, such as 01, 02, the closer to the elevator, the more convenient.
2) The deluxe room is big enough, a single room is almost like a suite. These few people's skiing equipment can be piled up in the room without any problems. 3) The first day was given a room on the 1st floor, which was really a bit cold. The air conditioning and heating were fully turned on, and the room temperature could only be maintained at 17, 18 degrees. In the next few days, I changed to a room on the 2nd floor, which was obviously much warmer. Without turning on the air conditioner, the room temperature can be maintained at 22 degrees and 23 degrees.
🏨Hotel environment:
Next to Hyatt is Park Hyatt (Figure 6), close to each other, the back door (Figure 5) is Hana Mountain Hot Spring (Figure 7), Commercial Street and Jinhua Suite Hotel (on Commercial Street, the picture is Figure 5).
Hyatt has its own snow house, which is not far from the service center of the resort when you go out from B1.

Hyatt Regency Changbaishan | A one-stop ski resort hotel
❄️The ski trip to Changbai Mountain finally checked into the long-grassed Changbai Mountain Hotel. Why say long-grassed, because I have always liked the hotel design works of architect Jaya Ibrahim, and Hyatt and the neighboring Park Hyatt are his only ski resort design projects during his lifetime.
⛷️The exterior and content of the hotel maintain a highly consistent ski town log cabin holiday style, and logs and stone elements are widely used here. The movement line of the hotel lobby is very comfortable, breaking the conventional concept that the lobby is only used for check-in. The log-colored display cabinets and various leather sofas divide the lobby into different areas.
🏹The interior design is based on large areas of log color, and the iconic Jaya aesthetics are embodied here, simplifying complexity, and reflecting people's comfort requirements for vacations with extremely clever details. The hotel has two special "employees", two huge Alaskan Malamutes appear in the lobby at fixed times to meet guests. The ski-in and ski-out snow house on the B1 floor provides a full set of ski equipment, and the cable car is right outside the door.
🧂The hotel has its own open-air hot spring. After a day of skiing, it is the most appropriate choice to completely relax here. The hotel's Yue Ting Chinese restaurant serves Northeastern cuisine, and the most recommended is the chaotic stew iron pot stew, which is not limited to chicken, fish, beef, abalone, etc. in one pot.
