Staying at the Tokyo Nine Stars Japanese Hotel is simply a perfect experience!
New Otani, as one of the three prestigious hotels in Tokyo, is located right at the heart of Tokyo near the Imperial Palace, and the Executive House Zen where I stayed is known as 'a hotel within a hotel.' It is also selected by the Forbes Travel Guide as a five-star establishment, and together with the main building's four stars, that makes a total of nine stars✨!
(Rooms are only on the 12th floor, and the price is higher than New Otani's because it's in a building constructed in 2007)
Upon entering the hotel, you can first visit the executive lounge, open from 8 am to 10 pm, where you can enjoy an authentic Japanese breakfast and champagne, pastries, snacks... all day long. They have a long-term collaboration with 'the Hermès of the dessert world' Pierre Hermé, featuring his bread and chocolates😍 The latest service allows you to have the afternoon tea set delivered to your room, ensuring maximum privacy, which is so thoughtful!
The hotel allows check-in from 2 pm and check-out at noon, which is really convenient... I arrived just after 12 pm, and was immediately guided by the staff, and had lunch in the lounge, accompanied by the daytime view of Tokyo and a glass of champagne, delightful😋
Although Zen's rooms are not the largest or most luxurious, I am very satisfied with the room quality! The toiletries are a full set of Ferragamo, and they provide both a robe and a Japanese yukata for sleepwear, truly Japanese inside and out😇
The room's window view is the best spot for taking photos, especially during sunset, the pictures are the most beautiful~
When checking in, the hotel staff confidently recommended that the SATSUKI hall in the lobby has the best breakfast buffet in Japan, and the next morning I saw Pierre Hermé's desserts➕yogurt, steak, salmon roe, truffle omelette, various seasonal fruits... Tears of joy instantly streamed down from the corner of my mouth🥲
Finally, the highlight: the Japanese garden!
New Otani's garden is already famous, and even those who are not staying at the hotel can come to visit~ The Japanese-style garden features a large lake and waterfall, with a red arch bridge in the middle; looking down from the bridge, you can see many koi fish🐟 It's very suitable to take a walk here after breakfast!
