If you are planning for a Penang trip, and intend to stay near a shopping mall for convenience, then you should consider staying at hotels such as the G hotel gurney and the G hotel melawai. Both of them are very close to the gurney plaza. The gurney plaza has an extended mall located at the gurney paragon. I love to shop at the gurney plaza as they have all you need. There is a parkson departmental store, many restaurants, and even a dining paradise at the basement level where you can buy your snacks and famous bakeries. You would be spoilt for choice shopping there. I have spent a few hours inside the mall shopping from level to level. There are also many retail outlets that you can visit to shop for your appreals, and accessories. It is a must visit mall in Penang.

Visited Gurney Plaza Penang Malaysia and decided to have dinner at GO Noodle House. The decorations of this restaurant is interesting as they have some of those menu crafted on wooden plates and hanging on the display wall and with the red lanterns hanging across the restaurant. It serve Chinese style noodles with both dry or soup based. Ordered their weekday set on grouper slice dry noodles and it is very good as the noodles are very “Q”.

Specialising in noodles, this eatery surely have a variety of noodles dishes for such pan mee, soup noodles with sides. Love that visiting patrons can customise the ingredients to go with the noodles. Anyways, service from the service crew was lovely and attentive. Noodles were served hot and fast! My go to order has always been black sauce dry pan mee and shaoxing wine rice noodle soup. Noodles were well cooked, and coated well with the sauce! Soup dishes were always on par, great meal for a rainy weather!

It’s located at Gurney Plaza, which is easily found with ample parking spaces at the mall. Love the ambiance of the café which was chill and cozy! Service from the staffs are always top notch! #traveldiaries We are back to my hometown Penang for vacation and would like to have some brunch, so we came to this famous chain restaurant called Oriental Kopi, located at Gurney Plaza Penang, basement level. This is a recently famous restaurant specializes in Nanyang style coffee, toasts and local delights like Nasi Lemak, Mee Siam etc. We ordered some coffee, kaya toasts, Nasi Lemak, Mee Siam and Curry Laksa, and not to forget their specialty egg tarts. Everything tasted so good which is why you see queue piling up outside the shop. Be sure to go on weekdays and off peak time or expect to wait for 1 hour before its your turn.

#malaysiatrip 📍Yogurt Planet, Gurney Plaza, Penang Was doing some shopping at Gurney Plaza and decided to give this newly opened yogurt store a try and we were amazed by it! They offer various types of unique yogurt flavours like multigrain, green apple, coconut spirulina which was really special and interesting. The yogurt is freshly made and silky, love the silky texture. The colours of the yogurt is really interesting and pretty on camera! Visitors can opt for yogurt only or yogurt with freshly cut fruits as the toppings. There are plenty of seatings available in store for visitors to have their yogurt! We ordered their multigrain yogurt, which was really interesting and nice! Would recommend!

#2024wish 📍Holy Guacamole- Gurney G.07, G Hotel, 168A, Persiaran Gurney, George Town, Penang Visited their new store in town for scrumptious authentic Mexican food, and it was 10/10! It is vibrant and lively restaurant, with colourful decorations all over the place, from the walls to the ceilings! This outlet is quite spacious, with both indoor and outdoor seatings, and is able to accommodate larger group of customers! Love the service from the staff, attentive and friendly. They offer a good selection of food from tacos to burritos to quesadillas! We ordered three types of tacos (chicken, satay and vegetarian) and they were all so good! Flavoursome and tasty, we love it! Burrito was packed with ingredients and it was a fulfilling meal. Love it! They even have live band during dinner time! In 2024, I wish to travel to Seoul, Korea!

Great place to enjoy some desserts and drinks (coffee, tea, matcha) with great environment! They have both indoor (air conditioned) and outdoor seatings and both are equally good! They are a Japanese café serving a huge array of Western-Japanese cuisine such as baked curry rice, mentaiko carbonara spaghetti, soufflé pancakes. We ordered chocolate banana pancake and it was good! Pancake was fluffy and soft, topping with chocolate sauce and caramelised banana was such a good pairing ! We chose outdoor seating during our visit during the evening and enjoy the breeze, which was really relaxing! In 2024, I wish to travel to Seoul, Korea!

There are many shops, cosmetics, branded products, cheaper than Thailand and other countries that are tax-free. There are many restaurants, coffee shops and dessert shops to choose from. Starbucks, Chinese, Malaysian, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean food, many international shops. The basement floor has a supermarket for buying food and souvenirs. Alcoholic beverages are sold. The food court is on the upper floor (4th or 5th floor). The food is delicious and there are many shops to choose from. The top floor is a cinema. This mall is located in a good location near the G Hotel and near Gurney street food. There is a lot of parking and clean bathrooms. If you travel to Penang during the rainy season, I recommend walking in the mall instead. The air is cool and not muddy. Travel If anyone stays in the old city near the Komtar building or near Love Lane, street art, take bus number 103 at the bus stop at the Komtar building or call Grab, which is convenient and not expensive. It takes about 8-10 minutes to get to Gurney Plaza.
