Fun Day Out in Odaiba, Tokyo 🇯🇵
Last year I travelled around Japan for 6 weeks and had the best time ever! On my last day in Tokyo, I had no plans and I’d already visited everything I wanted to see. My new friend suggested we go to Odaiba together ~ I didn’t know anything about this place but I was excited!
Odaiba is located next to Tokyo Bay, with beautiful views of the Rainbow bridge, the water and even a beach. It’s a lovely place to walk around and see the cherry blossoms and enjoy the sun. There are many shopping malls here, with traditional Japanese games and treats, and more modern things too!
📸 Be sure to bring your camera to take photos of the beautiful Tokyo Bay which Odaiba overlooks, as well as all of the cool attractions you will see while exploring the area!

Japanese Culture | The Pilgrimage Destination for Gundam Enthusiasts, Check in at the Gundam Unicorn in Odaiba!
❤ Mobile Suit Gundam is a top-notch anime work in Japan, and The Gundam Base Tokyo located in Odaiba is the holy land for Gundam fans! In front of the DiverCity gate stands a movable and transformable, super luxurious model of the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn series, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam.
🌟 The RX-0 Unicorn Gundam statue, which has been standing since September 24, 2017, replaced the previous generation RX-78-2 Gundam model. It is a landmark building in Odaiba, and with the new replacing the old, the height of the Gundam has increased to 19.7 meters, and its mobility surpasses that of its predecessor.
👍 The RX-0 Unicorn Gundam has added new features, allowing it to switch between Unicorn mode and Destroyer mode. In Unicorn mode, it has a protective face and a large horn. After 10 seconds, when it switches to Destroyer mode, the large horn splits into twin spikes, the mask opens, and the entire face is revealed. The two modes switch multiple times throughout the day, offering a spectacular sight that continuously wows the audience with cheers and exclamations!
✅ The performances are held four times a day, divided into morning and afternoon sessions at 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM, and 5 PM. The last session initiates the night light mode, with visual effects lasting into the late night. Accompanied by various Gundam theme songs played every half hour, anime clips are projected onto the exterior walls of DiverCity, and the Gundam continues to switch between the two modes.

🚉 Access: It is about a 10-minute walk from either the Odaiba Station, the Museum of Maritime Science Station, or the Aomi Station.

A quick glimpse of Odaiba in Tokyo, I didn't get enough of it
Odaiba is a place I wanted to go every time I came to Tokyo, but I never made it. This time, the last stop before leaving Japan was arranged here
-
✔️Statue of Liberty
This Statue of Liberty can be said to be a landmark of Odaiba. It is smaller than the famous Statue of Liberty in New York. The scenery of the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Bay behind it at sunset is still very beautiful
✔️Gundam
What initially attracted me to Odaiba was this 1:1 restored Gundam, located in front of Diver City, about 5 or 6 stories high, and it is spectacular when viewed up close
✔️Doraemon Future Department Store
Located on the second floor of Diver City, in addition to a wealth of Doraemon peripheral products, there is also an interactive experience area where you can experience the props in Doraemon, with more children participating
✔️Hello Kitty Theme Store
Also located on the second floor of Diver City, the surroundings are very rich, full of girl's heart
✔️Conan Pop-up Store
On the 3rd floor of Aqua City, it seems to be until 8.27, I hurriedly visited
-
⭕️Fuji TV station is also nearby, it is a pity that I didn't make it because of the tight time this time

POOP MUSEUM
It may sound strange on (toilet) paper, but Tokyo’s poop museum is one of the city’s most trendy attractions.
The poos here at the Unko Museum Odaiba — unko is Japanese for poop — are fortunately nothing like the real thing. Unless your poop resembles pastel-colored soft-serve ice cream, in which case you should stop reading now and see a doctor🤣.
The museum is located on the second floor of the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza shopping complex, one of Odaiba’s most well-trodden tourist hot spots.
Installations, displays, and immersive attractions in the museum are all based around the theme “Max Unko Kawaii,” which translates to “the maximum cuteness of poop.”

Odaiba… a bridge to remember
Odaiba is my most favorite place of Tokyo. Some people may go there because of TV tower, Gundam but for me just to spend time with a sea is the perfect moment!
Tokyo bay is in the area where you can walk especially in spring, the weather is perfectly nice.
I’ve found out that the most memorable period of photography is when Sunset where we can enjoy sophisticate sun ray with the wide area of bay and just a few moment later u can see a beautiful illumination of the bridge!
Dont miss it in your Tokyo trip!

Night Life at Diver City is still stunning
I traveled to a Diver City, known as Odaiba in Tokyo at a night time. It’s still stunning in both day or night. At night, you can see a lightening, illuminated environment with a breeze atmosphere.

Tokyo is one of my favourite cities to visit. It has so many places where you can go and enjoy your time while you’re there. The food is amazing, the place is clean, the public transportations are one of a kind (never late!) Many beautiful places to go to!
I went to all the places around Tokyo either on foot or by trains. Very accessible and totally organized! The pictures were taken from Odaiba, Asakusa shrine, Tokyo zoo, Akihabara, Shibuya and Shinjuku.

Team Lab Tokyo
Another great attraction sadly gone from Tokyo was the Team Lab experience in Odaiba. Again I managed to revisit this awesome digital art experience when I was in Tokyo just before Covid hit the World and it was absolutely wonderful. The digital art was mesmerizing and a sight to behold. Team Lab are masters in this and hopefully they will start other exhibits of the same caliber and size as they had in Tokyo, elsewhere in Japan and around the World.

Tokyo Motor Show
The last time I was in Tokyo (Pre Covid), I managed to get to the last day of the Tokyo Motor Show. Second time I have had the opportunity to see this and as before never failed to amaze me with the size and scope of all that is automotive. The weather was fantastic being late October/early November. There were so many cars on display both inside the huge convention buildings and outside. There were a lot of people as usual in Tokyo, especially on this weekend, but all the attendees were orderly and polite and followed instructions from the staff, particularly inside the convention halls. The new car models shown was astounding. I will definitely attend again if given the opportunity since Japan is reopened again to tourists.

The best experience and travel I had was traveling in Japan during winter, especially in Tokyo where a lot of people were kind and hospitable. This spot is the best when you travel with loved ones, especially at night time.

Odaiba City Shopping
VenusFort
Address: 1 Chome-3-15 Aomi, Koto City, Tokyo 135-0064, Japan
This is an upscale shopping centre designed in European style, it also has a water fountain with six Roman goddesses. Look up into the ceiling and you will find blue skies with white puffy clouds, resembling the sky. The atmosphere here is more European Renaissance and you get to experience the architecture in this shopping centre. It is definitely one of its kind and refreshing to find such decorations. VenusFort is part of the Palette town shopping mall in Odaiba city. You can consider buying a day pass train ticket and travelling around Odaiba for the best experience.

ODAIBA
Odaiba, also called ‘Daiba’ for short, is a trendy area with tourists. Originally built from reclaimed land in defense of Tokyo in 1853, Odaiba has become one of Tokyo's top attractions and a hotspot for both young people and those young at heart.
Home to five giant malls, this area has some of Tokyo's best shopping, plus a Ferris wheel, otaku meccas, Tokyo onsen, and beautiful views—something for everyone to enjoy. Odaiba is also where you can find convention facilities like Tokyo Big Sight and several hotels.
From a visit to the symbolic Fuji TV station and character spots to a relaxing bay cruise, experience the best of Odaiba in one day—or more—whichever suits your fancy!

Odaiba is an island in the southeast corner of Tokyo. Take the Lily Seagull Line (ゆ り か も め) to Odaiba Seaside Park or Odaiba Station (you can‘t use the Kyoto subway pass), which is considered to be far from the main city. 👀
The Lily Seagull Line is a self-driving electrified train. The head and tail cabs are all panoramic glass, allowing you to experience the driver's perspective.

Makiyu.
December 31st is generally called the "Day of the Big Day" - equivalent to New Year's eve. At the stroke of midnight, people pray to God and wish for a prosperous year ahead. The temples ring the clocks 108 times to expel evil and this is followed by a grand fireworks show. The tram tour has a fantasy paradise feeling and the shuttle between the two zones is magical. Japan manages to combine the natural environment with industrial modern civilization like for example , their ships do not exhume black smoke. A lot of children relax and have a great time during this time.

In Odaiba, experience a different Tokyo
❤Recommended Reason: When it comes to Tokyo, everyone seems to go to Ginza, Akihabara, and Shinjuku. The bustling city is often accompanied by crowded and overwhelming crowds. For the last stop in Tokyo this time, I chose the newly developed affluent area: Odaiba.
📍Detailed Address:
Navigate🧭 Odaiba Seaside Park
🗓Itinerary:
First Stop: After getting off at Seaside Park Station, walk 100 meters to Decks City, a large commercial complex built by the sea. Inside, there is Nishimatsuya (Picture 6), which is affordable and great for shopping. Home goods and children's clothing are particularly cheap, making it perfect for a shopping spree. On the third floor, there is a food court where you can enjoy some snacks while admiring the Pacific Ocean and the cross-sea bridge (Picture 9).
Second Stop: After walking 200 meters across the overpass, you will reach the famous Gundam Base, a pilgrimage site for every anime fan (Picture 3). For the exact location, please see Picture 7 (Drivecity). There are many anime-themed stores here (Conan, Doraemon, Totoro, Minecraft, Zelda). The large Gundam is on the back of this picture. There are transformation performances at fixed times, but I suggest not waiting for them as they are not very exciting.
Third Stop: In the direction of Acur City, you can see Japan's most famous Fuji TV station from afar, which is also a holy land for Japanese anime culture. Many anime became known to the public from here.
There is also the Japanese version of the Statue of Liberty, symbolizing Japan's determination to open its doors to the West and join Europe (Western fleets landed at Odaiba Seaside). This mall also has the Japanese outdoor brand Montbell, which is a pleasant surprise.
👍Most Recommended:
Seaside Park, Gundam Base, Statue of Liberty: Fuji TV Station, anime-themed stores, all of these are concentrated around this Seaside Park, and you can spend half a day walking around.
⏳Play Time:
If time is not enough, take some photos and walk around for 3 hours. If shopping, add another 2 hours. The affordable Nishimatsuya is worth recommending, and there are no other luxury brands here.

Tokyo's most popular travel check-in spot|Odaiba (1462)
|Odaiba (1462). Odaiba, also known as Odaiba, is located on the artificial land of Tokyo Bay in the southeastern part of Tokyo, Japan. It is the newest entertainment center in Tokyo and is favored by people, especially young people.
The naming of Odaiba has such a story: In 1853, the American Perry led a fleet to Japan. At that time, Tokyo was still called Edo. Due to urgent defense needs, a hastily made sea fort was set up here to resist the enemy, and since then it has been called Odaiba.
With the development of the times, many large-scale corporate headquarters have moved into Odaiba one after another, and many eye-catching commercial and entertainment facilities built with modern design have been built, such as: the world's largest indoor game center Sega Game Center. Today's Odaiba has become a must-visit place for tourists from all over the world to visit Japan, and it has also become an important tourist attraction that is most welcomed by tourists at home and abroad.

Odaiba, Tokyo
Odaiba in Tokyo is a nice place. Compared to other parts of Tokyo, Odaiba is spacious with many high-rise buildings. I particularly like the cable-stayed bridge, the large sphere (observation deck) of the Fuji TV building... Walking in Odaiba Seaside Park, the surrounding skyscrapers, the distant port, the Rainbow Bridge (a suspension bridge crossing the northern part of Tokyo Bay, connecting Shibaura in Minato and Odaiba), the cruise ships shuttling under the Rainbow Bridge, the decorated iron chains and anchors by the sea, and the small Statue of Liberty, all make this place different from other places. The night view of Odaiba is great, and there are also Gundam performances.
