A lot of what we knew were actually not facts 😂 But seeing it in real life was just as surreal and awe-inspiring as when we saw The Taj and The Great Wall. Such a piece of history that truly is a testament of how grand ancient architecture is. The historical significance that it holds will always be one of the 7 Wonders of the World. I really suggest to be in a tour group as you will definitely learn a lot about the Colosseum and its historical significance. TIPS: 1. My visit to the Vatican and its surrounding treasures in Rome was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Visiting one of seven wonders of the world

Visiting Colosseo is definitely a must when traveling to Rome. To avoid queue, be sure to book your ticket a week before your visit. I was going to buy the ticket on the spot, but it’s a long queue on site and the tickets are almost sold out. I’ve tried to buy the ticket the night before our visit but I couldn’t get a ticket. So I went on the second day at 8.30am to buy the tickets, ID is required when you purchase the ticket. Student promo price is only valid for Europe citizen. The normal ticket is €16 which give you one time entrance to the colosseum, palatine hill and Roman Forum. My advice, avoid visiting in summer cuz it’s gonna be super hot! #rome #

The Must see in Rome -Colosseum

It is non other than The Colosseum which is is an elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy, just east of the Roman Forum. It is the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built, and is still the largest standing amphitheatre in the world, despite its age! You may also catch this amazing amphitheater from the outside if you do not intent to enter it. I have opted for a self guided tour with one of the tour and skip the line for the ticket in! There are time slot allocated to avoid big crowds. And tickets are regularly sell out, so you want to plan ahead to avoid disappointment! Would suggest to head over the ancient romans at the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill these are areas where you may enter for free but please wear comfortable footwear as you can see the pavement are mostly ruins from ancient times. The area is huge and would definitely need an hour or two for each area’ I would love to explore back as i did not complete the whole area due to time constraints. Colosseum and cafe with history

The Colosseum, the greatest amphitheater of the Roman Empire and still the landmark of Rome. We visited in October where the sun set quite early. We arrived just before sunset and hence could only manage to walk from the outskirts. Next time we would join a guided tour. There are several sightseeing points around the Colosseum and it was a great walk around Rome where we ended in the Sciasia Caffe 1919 after an hour or so, a few streets from the Vatican. Sciasia Caffe 1919 Address: Via Fabio Massimo, n.80/a, 00192 Roma They have its unique blend of coffee and pastries are surprisingly good as well. No wonder it stands from 1919 till now. What a wonderful found!

The name of the Roman amphitheater, the Colosseum, was given after the colossal statue of Nero that is located next to it I did many activities during my visit to the Colosseum In all my travels, as usual, I start wandering around the place to explore it. So I started walking around the Roman Colosseum building from the outside and watching its magnitude and splendor of its construction Really I was stunned 🙀😇, I said what a greatness. The greatness of the Roman Empire that was in those ancient times. Fortunately for me, it had only been a few weeks since the third and ground floors of the runway were opened, allowing tourists to enter and see the runway from above. So I was able to enjoy and watch this great historical landmark and take some souvenir photos from the top. When in… Rome

Most memorable moment: Returning to Piccadilly Roma after the Roma vs Geneva football game. We hadn’t booked a room for the night nor anticipated the amazing city becoming 99% booked upon our return. Just when we thought we were going to have to drive a minimum of 45 minutes to find a place to stay, the owner of Piccadilly Roma gave us the most pleasant surprise. He offered us two affordable rooms remaining at his hotel barely two blocks away. He didn’t stop there though. He offered to walk us to the hotel to be sure we would be satisfied and sold us a bottle of incredible red wine from his restaurant, which he opened for us to enjoy in our rooms as the restaurant was closing. Visit Rome — The visible world museum

From Rome Termini station you can get the metro to arrive Colosseo station, or check with google map or bus app there should be plenty of bus arrive this location. I have visited the Colosseum, Rome Forum and Palatine Hill, which is a must visit attraction in Rome, I went here in January, it’s not so crowded and the weather is good to walk around these places without getting sweaty. First I visited the Colosseum, low season without long lines, entrance are clear and smooth, from the top floor and slowly walking down. Have some understanding through the museum and some model demonstrations, then go into the main area to have a glaze of the technology of how Roman build this amazing architecture. Then I visited the Roman Forum, I’m not an expert in history, while all this relics are with long story. At the same time Palatine Hill is just next to it, there are some museum in the Palatine Hill, but I didn’t go in. The energy vibe of the colosseum and the second attraction are totally different. A place where many human and animal lives are gone, and a place where a place is build. Travel to these places and find out something more. Finally we get to see this magnificent Colosseum, one of the new 7 Wonders of the World. This iconic landmark is so beautiful. Such an eye opening experience, great to know more about the history of Colosseum. We visited in autumn and the weather was just nice. Please beware of pickpockets.
