Day 4 of Thailand Trip (25. 2.16.) I visited Chulalongkorn University Road on Sunday morning to solve the problem. Almost all restaurants were closed until Sunday lunch. So I went into a restaurant that was open, and ordered dishes such as Pad Thai, Oyster Pancake, Pig's Feet Rice Bowl, and Shrimp Chips. The overall score is ☆ stars. It was built in 1914 as the headquarters of the Civil Service College. It was designed by Dr. Karl Dohring, a German engineer who worked in the Ministry of Interior, and Mr. Edward Healey, an English engineer who worked in the Ministry of Education. They adapted ancient Thai art from Sukhothai and Sawankhalok into the building's design. On January 3, 1915, King Rama VI traveled to the Civil Service College under construction to lay the foundation stone. Later, on March 26, 1916, a royal proclamation was issued to establish it. so after few months of thinking, I decided to come to Thailand to do my exchange semester! apparently, Chula is the best university in Thailand, most of the wealthy Thais come here to get education. the campus itself is beautiful, and there are canteens in every single faculty. there are also free shuttle buses to take from one place to another place on campus! sometimes, there are also live shows and performances in the evening during the festival seasons.

Today, I will recommend a place for Bangkokians to relax. This place is Chulalongkorn Centenary Park, a public park with an area for everyone to come and relax or do activities. It has a large area. These house museums and libraries, but I didn’t go inside this time—just took some photos outside and watched students in their neat uniforms pass by, creating a very relaxed atmosphere. The highlight of the campus is undoubtedly the lotus pond. The water surface is covered with pink and purple lotus flowers, surrounded by trees. Many people sit by the pond to daydream—it’s truly healing. There’s also a small café called CU Terrace, which offers a quiet environment perfect for a break. Drinks cost around 20 HKD per cup, and while the taste is average, the scenery makes up for it. Interestingly, the campus is home to a few stray dogs, which are collectively cared for by the students. They’re all well-behaved and friendly, often lying quietly on the grass soaking up the sun, completely unafraid of people. I even saw students playing with the dogs while eating, creating a heartwarming scene. The entire campus is open to the public, and if you get tired, you can head to nearby Siam Paragon or Central World for food and shopping. Recently tried Som Som Seafood located at the Chulalongkorn University Night Market in Bangkok! 😎😎 After trying this popular restaurant which has received so many positive reviews online, I found that the food is really fresh and delicious! I arrived at 14:00 and didn't have to queue at all. I could just walk in and there were still many empty seats. The crab curry lived up to its reputation and was hands down the best I’ve had in Bangkok. Each piece of crab meat is big and full, and you can taste the freshness of the crab. The curry mixed with egg is smooth and goes well with rice! But apart from the curry crab meat, the rest of the dishes were just so-so and nothing memorable.
