2025 Braeside Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in June)

#summervacay This is my second visit to Braeside Park, about a 20-minute drive from Clayton and Oakleigh, super convenient for friends in Melbourne’s southeast. The park is huge, and wild rabbits are everywhere — literally hopping around in groups, grazing on the grass. So cute! 🐇💖 But the real highlight is the wetland area inside the park, home to tons of water birds like black swans, pelicans, ducks, and many other species I couldn’t even name. Nearby woodlands have colorful parrots and other birds — perfect for bird watchers and nature photographers alike! Braeside Park is really large — walking diagonally across can take nearly an hour. There are plenty of picnic spots, cycling trails, and open spaces. If you love animals and outdoor learning, this is a great weekend escape. Had so much fun strolling around garden world! They have almost every plant from cactus to tropics and they also sell gemstones. They carry variegated monstera and bonsais.
