Beijing's most difficult-to-book museum, without a doubt, is open for less than 100 days each year
Since the Qing Dynasty, Xihuang Temple has become the residence for the Dalai Lama and Panchen Erdeni when they came to Beijing for pilgrimage. It also hosted envoys of successive Dalai Lamas and Panchen Erdenis coming to Beijing to pay tribute. Xihuang Temple has several times been the center for the resident Zhasak Dala Lama in Beijing to handle Tibetan Buddhist affairs.
To the east of Xihuang Temple, there is another famous Lama Temple called Donghuang Temple. The locals refer to both the Donghuang and Xihuang Temples as the 'Twin Huang Temples'. Both temples were demolished in 1958, and now only the Qingjing Huacheng Pagoda Courtyard of Xihuang Temple remains relatively intact.

Xihuang Temple has a long history. An engraved depiction of the Buddha's entire life story, along with several Bodhisattva relief sculptures, is carved into the tower. Even after several centuries, these stone carvings maintain their detailed, vivid appearance. Here, I recommend visiting the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Festooned Gate, the Main Hall, and the Qingjing-Huacheng Pagoda.

Beijing Xiaozhong Destination|The Centennial Royal Buddhist Temple is only open on weekends
"The Temple of Donghuang Temple, the tower of Xihuang Temple", which is the old saying of old Beijing. As early as the early Qing Dynasty, there were three famous temples in Beijing: Donghuamen Pusheng Temple, Beihai Yong'an Temple and Chengbei Huang Temple. They were called the Three Temples in the early morning!
I have never paid attention to these temples recently. I recently learned that the Xihuang Temples push article has learned that this red wall and yellow tile, with a strong Chinese classical style, has never been opened to the public for more than three hundred years. It was once under the royal family. It was directly under the jurisdiction of the Liyi Academy in the Qing Dynasty. It has been the place where dalai and banchan lived in Beijing. After the renovation, it was just opened as a Tibetan Buddhist Museum in May 2018, and it is only available on weekends! Such a mysterious place has evoked the desire of many people to explore.
The Xihuang Temple Museum is only part of the original Huangsi Temple. The original Donghuang Temple is located next to the Xihuang Temple, but it is no longer there. The Xihuang Temple Museum is mainly based on some ancient temples and buildings, and is also the seat of the Chinese Buddhist Department of the High School of Buddhism. Here, you can still see the lama monks coming and going. The architectural style and layout of the
Xihuang Temple is a typical royal style, with a main axis running through to the bottom and sides on display. From the entrance, it is the Shanmen Temple, the Heavenly King Hall, the Henghua Gate, the Great Hall, the Nanpai Building, the Qing Dynasty City Tower, the North Pai Building and the Huixiang Pavilion (Tibejing Pavilion).
: This is the most mysterious and cool place in the entire Xihuang Temple. It was built in the Qianlong period and is a gold-plated throne tower set up in the style of the Bodhisattva of India. The tower contains scriptures and spiced notes. Six medicines, gold and silver eight treasures and other things. On both sides of the Qing Dynasty City Tower, there is also the East-West Pavilion
: the largest temple in the entire Xihuang Temple, with a large platform in front of it, the middle road is with a tanzanite with five dragons on it. The relief (the emperor's imperial, the battle is very high). The center of the temple is the Panchen Lama, the west side is dedicated to Sakyamuni, Amitabha, and the Pharmacist Buddha; on the east side is the place where the strong Buddha, the 11-faced Goddess of Mercy, and the Kasabani Bodhisattva

The Past and Present of Huang Temple
Xihuang Temple The Huang Temple we talk about now is actually the Xihuang Temple. From the name, it can be inferred that there used to be a Donghuang Temple. However, Donghuang Temple has disappeared without a trace. If it still existed, it should be located on the central axis road south of Anhua Bridge.
Donghuang Temple and Xihuang Temple were initially established on a grand scale. From 1651 to 1652, Emperor Shunzhi allocated 90,000 taels of silver to rebuild Huang Temple on the foundation of Empress Dowager Xiao's Yanjing palace during the Liao Dynasty, for the use of the Fifth Dalai Lama's residence in Beijing.
Donghuang Temple no longer exists, while Xihuang Temple is largely intact. The most well-known structure in Xihuang Temple is the Qingjing Huacheng Pagoda, commonly known as the 'Panchen Pagoda', built in the 47th year of Qianlong (1782), in memory of the Sixth Panchen Lama.
In 1987, the China Tibetan Language Institute of Higher Buddhism, founded by the Tenth Panchen Lama Erdini Qoigyijabu, was established at Xihuang Temple, becoming the highest institution for training senior Dharma teachers in Chinese Tibetan Buddhism.
In 2018, the Xihuang Temple Museum officially opened to the public, marking the first time in over 300 years that the temple has been open to the public, becoming one of the rare original Tibetan Buddhist cultural museums in Beijing.
Before becoming a Buddhist academy, there was an interesting event related to the Mao Dun Literature Prize. In 1981, following Mao Dun's will to establish the Mao Dun Literature Prize, a reading group was organized to filter through a large number of novels to narrow down the selection. The reading group was held in the meditation rooms of Huang Temple, and it was there that the shortlisted works for the first Mao Dun Literature Prize were announced.

Is the hardest museum to make an appointment in the country a temple?
Beijing's hardest-to-book Xihuang Temple Museum! The museum is only open on Saturdays and Sundays each week, and only 600 people are allowed to visit each day. If you want to visit, you need to grab a ticket 7 days in advance at 0 o'clock! Xihuang Temple was built in 1651 (the eighth year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty), integrating Tibetan, Han, and Indian architectural arts, and is a gem of the architectural art of the Tibetan Buddhist royal temple. As one of the earliest established Tibetan Buddhist royal temples in Beijing in the early Qing Dynasty, Xihuang Temple is also the place where the Dalai and Panchen Lamas stayed in Beijing, and it has a relatively important historical value for studying Tibetan Buddhism in the Qing Dynasty. The museum is now also a senior Buddhist college of the Chinese Tibetan language system.

Beijing Tourism | These museums are hard to get tickets for, but they're really fun|||
|||.❤️Now going to the museum has become a favorite activity for many Beijing children and tourists from other places.
🍎But no matter how big the museum is, it can't stand the crowd. Many museums have started to appear 'hard to book' titles.
🏮What do these museums have? Let's take a look. If you book any of the following,
⌚Don't give up the opportunity, because it's really hard to come by.
💎Beijing Yanjing Eight Wonders Museum
🌈It is considered the hardest to book in Beijing museums. The exhibition of Yanjing Eight Wonders is indeed very impressive! But! There are only two sessions here every day, guess how many people per session?
15!
Yes, it's that popular, I haven't been able to book it so far.
Let's wait until the end of November this year, it's free to book on my birthday, so I don't have to grab it then.
📍Address: Beijing Shijingshan District Model Mouth Street
⏰Time: Tuesday-Sunday 14:00-15:00,15:00-16:00
🎫Ticket: 50 yuan
💎Xi Huang Temple Museum
🌈The difficulty of booking tickets is comparable to Spring Festival train tickets. There are also two sessions in the morning and afternoon, each with 20 people. But I have a friend who has ever got a returned ticket, so I temporarily put him in the second place.
📍Address: 11 Huangsi Street, Beijing
⏰Time: Saturday and Sunday 9:00-16:30
🎫Ticket: Free
💎China Telecom Museum
🌈From Tuesday to Friday, it is only for group tourists, and only for individual tourists on Saturday and Sunday, so individual tourists are all crowded on Saturday and Sunday. The quota of 100 people per session is not much. I have booked it once. The development history of communication and telecommunication is introduced in detail and interesting. Children should be interested.
📍Address: 42 Xueyuan Road, Haidian District, Beijing
⏰Time: Saturday and Sunday 9:00-17:00
🎫Ticket: Free
💎National Natural Museum
🌈There are three types of tickets here, basic exhibition, temporary exhibition and 4D cinema. The basic exhibition is okay, if you squat in advance, there are 80% chances. But the most exciting 4D movie is not so easy to book. It is said that the Jurassic film inside is super shocking, but I haven't seen it, depressed.
You can try to pick up the leak one day in advance on weekdays.
📍Address: 126 South Tianqiao Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing
⏰Time: Tuesday-Sunday 9:00-17:00
🎫Ticket: Free, official booking
💎Beijing Art Museum
🌈It's not that you can't book here, but the waiting time is long. It's common to book one month in advance. But compared to the previous ones that completely depend on luck, this place is much friendlier. But it is said that the current booking mechanism has been adjusted, so you don't have to wait so long. If you haven't been there, hurry up and book it.
📍Address: Wanshou Temple Road, Haidian District, Beijing
⏰Time: Tuesday-Sunday 9:00-17:00
🎫Ticket: 20 yuan
💎China Archaeological Museum
🌈There are 500 tickets every day but it's extremely popular. But for the treasures of the museum, it's really necessary to squat.
Don't miss the 'super national treasure' turquoise dragon-shaped device!
📍Address: 1-4 floors of China Historical Research Institute
⏰Time: Wednesday-Sunday 9:00-17:00

The legendary hard-to-book Xihuang Temple
I accidentally stumbled in! All I can say is that it's all about fate!
Today's weather is really good, although it's windy, the sunshine is particularly brilliant, and it's not very cold.
After finishing the tea ceremony class, I started wandering around on my little yellow bike. Along the way, I passed a special group of buildings, and quickly braked to take a look! Wow~ Xihuang Temple! Why does this name sound so familiar!
Taking a closer look, the door is open! Oh my! Let's go in and take a look!
I quickly searched for parking, but the door being open was useless, I had to make a reservation! It's one of the hardest museums to book in Beijing, and it's still not available a week in advance!
Since I'm here, let's ask at the door! The little master I happened to meet was very nice, he said that normally you need to make a reservation, but it's getting late, and the temple will close soon, you can go in and take a look!
I ran quickly to look at each hall, worshiped where I should, and didn't have time to read the text exhibits. I quickly took photos, and when the temple closed, I came out and took a slow look!
I successfully checked in at my Xihuang Temple! Oh yeah!

One of the hardest places to book in Beijing is the Xihuang Temple
Xihuang Temple Introduction: Xihuang Temple was built in the ninth year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1652 AD) to receive the religious and political leader of Tibet, the Fifth Awang Losang Gyatso. Later, in the forty-fifth year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1780 AD), Xihuang Temple became the place where the Sixth Panchen Lama preached. The Sixth Panchen Lama finally passed away at Xihuang Temple due to illness. In the forty-seventh year of Qianlong (1782 AD), Qianlong built the Sixth Panchen Lama's robe tower in Xihuang Temple to commemorate the Sixth Panchen Lama, called the Tower of Pure Land. The Tower of Pure Land is a clever architecture that integrates the styles of Han, Tibetan and Indian Buddhism with the main body of Tibetan Buddhist pagoda, using the traditional archway and patterns of the Han nationality as a foil, and the small pagoda built at the four corners of the Indian-style big pagoda as a tomb tune.
Xihuang Temple reservation time: Book the visit time for the next week at zero o'clock every Saturday.
Number of visitors and opening hours: Open every Saturday and Sunday. The daily number of visitors is 600.
