The Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum (Xiannongtan) has always been one of my favorite attractions. This time, I took the opportunity to buy a starry sky caisson fridge magnet and visited Xiannongtan again, as well as the newly opened Qincheng Palace and Shencang. Tickets for these three attractions are sold together, and the price is still CNY 15. Tickets are checked separately at each attraction. Qincheng Palace was originally the fasting palace of Xiannongtan, and both the main hall and the rear hall have high-level hipped roofs (Figure 4, Figure 10). When visiting Xiannongtan, you must admire the starry sky caisson and the coiled dragon caisson. The starry sky caisson fridge magnet is still available for online reservation and on-site purchase (CNY 168), while the coiled dragon caisson fridge magnet is available for on-site purchase (CNY 68). Figure 17 shows the Zhaisheng Pavilion, which is also newly opened.

I bought a lot of creative refrigerator magnets this year! The Longfu Temple caisson refrigerator magnet is the most difficult one! The caisson of Longfu Temple was originally placed on the top of the Zhengjue Hall of Longfu Temple. At that time, there were three caissons in the main hall, under which sat the Three Buddhas of the Past, Present and Future. The Buddha under the middle caisson was Sakyamuni. The caisson on display today is located in the middle position. The caisson in Longfu Temple is a national first-class cultural relic and was originally a Ming Dynasty building. The caisson is divided into six layers, with each circular main frame finely carved with cloud patterns. It has an exquisite structure and unique design. At the top is a star map with more than 1,400 stars. It is said to have been drawn with reference to a star map from the Tang Dynasty. Outside the caisson, at the same level as the indoor ceiling and the first and second floors of the caisson, there is a square beam with a statue of a deity standing in the middle of colorful clouds. The four corners of the third layer of the caisson are supported by wooden carvings of the Four Heavenly Kings. During the earthquake in 1976, Longfu Temple was damaged. Some cultural relics workers believed that the caisson was of great value, so they dismantled it for protection. It was later stored in the Taisui Hall of the Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum, and has now become the museum's treasure.

I came to Beijing just to see the "heavenly palace" in Su Shi's poem. I flew here just to see the caisson of Longfu Temple in the Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum. It is the real-life version of the "heavenly palace, jade tower, and jade palace." The caisson is made of golden nanmu, and the star map on the top has more than 1,400 stars shining brightly. It is extremely exquisite, and the wooden architecture is stunning beyond words. The dragon carvings on the ceiling of the Taisui Hall are lifelike, showing the beauty of "carved beams and painted buildings, and the craftsmanship of ghosts and gods." The Shencang stores the grain that the emperor personally plowed. It is across the street and requires a second ticket check. There is also a legend of "one mu and three points of land."
