And it's free! Compared to the well-known Fragrant Hills, Shunyi is a bit more atmospheric. Currently, the white hair valley is at its peak for red leaves, with 100% autumn vibes. The mountain is not high, with a gentle slope, making it friendly for all ages. The view is great for fall foliage. The road is a bit wild, with lots of gravel, so be careful. I would call it the best small mountain to climb! If you only go to the white hair valley, it takes less than 40 minutes to complete the whole journey. There are no restrooms or food supply points, so be prepared in advance.

There are tens of thousands of acres of colorful leaf forests with different characteristics. The red leaves have entered the best viewing area, and the scenery is beautiful with few people! In the golden autumn, trees such as torches, cotinus, ingot maple, ginkgo, and ash all over the mountains and plains together outline a colorful landscape. At a glance, the shallow mountains and forests are dyed with dancing colors, shining like clouds. The Wucai Qianshan area is very large. Today we came to the [Wucai Qianshan-Longwantun section]. This section is in Longwantun Town, Shunyi District. The main line is 60 kilometers and the branch line is 30 kilometers. This 90-kilometer long Wucai Qianshan-Longwantun section The Duan National Hiking Trail is a comprehensive mountain country park that integrates forest landscape, pastoral scenery, and landscape culture, and features sports and leisure, self-cultivation, and health. 🍁Autumn viewing route: This is a leg-friendly route suitable for all ages! 🍁Wucai Qianshan is very big and has many entrances. We went up the mountain from the Baimaoyu parking lot, where the red leaves are the reddest and most abundant. The whole journey is less than three kilometers and only climbs more than 100 meters. Route suggestions: 1. Enter the wooden walkway from the Zhonglong Leisure Station entrance and turn left at the end, where there are fewer people than at Baimao Valley. 2. For those with good physical strength, you can enter from the Baimao Valley entrance, pass the pavilion, and turn left at the fork in the road to reach the left turn of Route 1, where you can see both sides. Parking is free on the roadside, but after 9:00, parking spaces are limited, and you may have to drive far away. There are also picking gardens on the roadside where you can park for 20/vehicle.

From the foot of the mountain, the layered colors come into view: the nearby black and gray tree trunks, and the red and yellow leaves. In the distance, the red, yellow, green, and the color of the mountain rocks overlap, creating a perfect color contrast. Both the close-up and distant views are great for photography. The parking lot closes around 5 PM, so if you want to watch the sunset, park outside the parking lot. If you just want to see the red leaves, you can return the same way after going up the mountain. There are also many orchard paths to go down the mountain, all of which easily lead to the parking lot. During the red leaf season, there will be a lot of people, and it gets extremely crowded every year. There are many stalls at the entrance of the parking lot selling pure natural and pollution-free fruits and vegetables.
