What’s exciting about New Zealand zoo is that it not only have the usual animals found in zoo, but there are also natives animals of New Zealand such as the kiwi bird and tuatara! There are also a number of picnic areas where you can enjoy your packed meals while enjoying the sceneries of the zoo. Alternatively, restaurants are available in the zoo compound as well! I would recommend especially families to come down here and spend at least half a day to enjoy everything the zoo has to offer. I’m sure the kids will love it! For Chinese New Year I headed to New Zealand, something I have wanted to do for a long time. I had a few days spare in Auckland and had heard grad things about the zoo so I decided to check it out. I was honestly blown away by the zoo and without a doubt it quickly became one of the best I’ve ever seen. The zoo itself is really well laid out and all animals have big enclosures with plenty of light and greenery. All the animals looked so happy and healthy and you can tell they are well looked after. There are lots of volunteers walking around helping to inform you about all the animals which was a really nice touch.
