Jang An Myeon Ok, a cold noodle restaurant representing Anseong during the month of travel
#TravelMoon
✨️Janganmyeonok✨️ is a famous Anseong naengmyeon restaurant with a long history of over 60 years, and is also selected as a 100-year-old restaurant. The beginning of this place was when the founder's sister-in-law, Lee Il-soon, opened the restaurant, which is a famous Pyeongyang naengmyeon restaurant in Pyeongtaek. Currently, the eldest son, who inherited the taste from his mother, runs the Anseong main branch, the second son runs the Pyeongtaek branch, and the third son runs the Osan branch. The signature menu of Janganmyeonok, Pyeongyang naengmyeon, is made by boiling the beef and oxtail in a cauldron for 5-6 hours in a traditional Hwanghae-do style, and mixing it with fermented dongchimi broth after removing the fat. The noodles are made by hand-grinding buckwheat and kneading it. It is similar to most Pyeongyang naengmyeon restaurants, but what sets it apart from others is that it is characterized by eating the sliced cucumbers and green onions that are placed on the table. It may be a little unfamiliar, but the taste is unique and fun, more than you might think. Here's how to enjoy the cold noodles introduced on the menu: First, drink the broth without adding anything to savor the original meat flavor. Then, depending on your taste, add mustard to the broth, sprinkle vinegar on the noodles, and eat with gomyeong. Finally, it's good to add chili peppers and green onions.
