The 500 Lohan Temple is definitely a place to visit when going to Bintan. I went to Bintan for one weekend to do sight seeing and saw the 500 plus monuments of monks including the Golden Buddha. The view was spectacular and I was lucky since the weather was good to take nice pictures. It’s a unique experience apart from the Bintan resorts area. Entrance to the temple is around 30,000 IDR.
