When in Desaru, seafood should be on everyone's food list because Desaru is near the coast area, plus seafood is fresh and super affordable. One of my favourite seafood restaurants to visit would be Super Lobster restaurant in Desaru. It is a reputable award winning seafood restaurant, which is famous for their delicious fat lobsters. The restaurant had ample parking space and can accommodate lots of diners with its big space. Most importantly, the restaurant was clean and hygienic. For food, we had their braised lobsters in superior broth, egg omelette, fried rice, salted egg squid, prawn paste chicken, etc. We had a total of 7 dishes and our total bill was about RM$650, which was around SGD$185. Super Lobster Village (龍皇海鮮村), a unique village styled restaurant located at Desaru! We went there for dinner and ordered an Australian lobster in superior stock, a salted egg crab, prawn with wine, teppanyaki oysters egg and sweet potato leaves. Food was great, ambience was nice as well! Total cost of the above meal (for 4 pax) was RM483.50, which is around SGD147! Yard & Co. is located at Lot 4785, Jalan Siakap, Kampung Sungai Rengit, Pengerang, Johor. A lovely cafe facing South China Sea, with serene & gorgeous view, plus a spacious and hipster ambience, make it a famous instagrammable cafe and nice place to spend a laidback afternoon. I love their Pu'er Tiramisu(RM18.90), Milk Mochi(15.90) and Satay Chicken whole leg(RM27.90), absolutely delicious and nice presentation. Beside that, the Gula Melaka Latte(RM15) was pretty whelming too. Business hours: open daily from 12pm - 7pm. #valentinescape

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in PENGGERANG, JOHOR. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! looking for a short trip during weekend? pengerang and desaru which located in kota tinggi district was a place preferred by local johorean and Singaporean to spent their weekend holiday took approximately 2 hour drive from johor bahru via desaru senai expressway. visitor can experience mangrove and fireflies trip, several beaches such as batu layar, tanjung sepang, punggai, and desaru. food and price very reasonable.

If you would like to stress out from the busier city and looking for a good food with best view, this cafe may recommended to you. Actual Location: Yard&Co, Sungai Renggit, Pegerang, Johor. Suggestion: To avoid the waiting time and long Q, the best timing is during brunch hours which their business hours is from 11am until 7pm. Getting there: You may have your own transport and is a little far from Johor Bahru City and Driving 45 minutes and subject to traffic condition. Food Price: a slightly high than usual. Food Quality: 4 out of 5 Environment: during Off Peak hours is quite peaceful and Peak Hours the noise similar in the market (ooppppsssss). We recently went on a short 2D1N family trip packed with variety — fun water rides, animal encounters, cultural stops, and a little beach time. Our main highlight was the Adventure Waterpark, perfect for cooling off in the extreme heat. The park had enough rides and splash zones to keep everyone entertained, especially the kids. Beyond the waterpark, we explored a few spots located about 30 minutes away — a Mini Zoo, Temple Street, and a local café. The Adventure Cove Mini Zoo is small and set near a natural gas plant, which might seem odd at first. But surprisingly, it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable parts of the trip for our child. The up-close interactions with small animals made it feel intimate and special, despite the industrial surroundings. We also enjoyed a peaceful walk along Temple Street, soaking in the cultural atmosphere, followed by a relaxing break at a cozy local café nearby — perfect for cooling down and recharging. At night, we brought fireworks to the beach to end the day on a high note. However, we were politely warned by the management that fireworks are not allowed on the private beach, so that was cut short. If you’re planning something similar, be sure to check the local rules beforehand — fireworks are often restricted in private areas for safety reasons. Overall, it was a short but fulfilling getaway with a good balance of water fun, animal interactions, local sights, and beach vibes. Just be ready for very hot weather — bring lots of water, sunscreen, and maybe even portable fans!

We had a really great time visiting the Desaru mini zoo. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and helpful, giving us clear directions and information about the different animals. The enclosures were clean and the animals looked healthy and well taken care of, which made us feel comfortable and happy to support the zoo. One of the highlights was the petting area — we absolutely loved feeding the goats and capybara and it was so nice to interact gently with the animals. There were also educational signs and friendly zookeepers who shared interesting facts, which made the visit not just fun but also very informative. We spent about three hours there and it never felt crowded or rushed. There were plenty of shaded areas to rest and a small café where we could grab drinks and snacks. Overall, it was a wonderful family experience and we’ll definitely come back again. Highly recommended for families with young kids!

Desaru Mini Zoo is not too small and not too big — just the right size for a relaxing visit with kids. The entrance fee is very affordable, making it a great family outing. There’s horse riding available for both children and adults, with cute little ponies for kids and bigger horses for adults to try. The zoo has many animals, and I was impressed by how healthy and well cared for they all look. Unlike some places where animals seem neglected, here their fur and skin look great, and they seem happy. It’s clear the staff take excellent care of them. #summervacay We visited Superlobster Village while staying in Desaru, drawn by its high reviews. The restaurant's 'kampung' vibes were beautiful, and the staff were polite and patient in recommending their signature dishes. Since we were craving crab, we ordered the pepper crab, along with their signature beancurd and spinach. The staff kindly accommodated our request for smaller portions after we had birthday cake earlier. We appreciated the thoughtful touch of portable fly fans on the table, allowing us to enjoy our meal without distractions. The crab was fresh and delicious, with firm and juicy meat, and the pepper crab was particularly flavorful with a nice spicy kick 😋. The signature beancurd was also fantastic. Our bill came out to be around MYR200+, which is a bit pricey, but the experience was definitely worth it. After dinner, we took a leisurely stroll around the area, enjoying the surroundings before heading back to the Westin resort.
